This is extremely sad State of IIMs. UGC should intervene and resolve it. Bell curve should not be there in education system. This is unbelievable that a student who works hard for a year to get into IIM and then failed by IIMs
This is a deliberate decision to make extra money, they force their professors to grade 20% students less than Grade C, which will automatically put students even though they have 1 or 2 marks less than average at CGPA less than 4

Bhai ye har iim me hota hai relative marking inka ek method hai just to make sure that the fittest survives and rhi baat year back ki to ek minimum cgpa laani hi hoti hai in b schools to move to 2nd year agar baccha minimum se bhi kum cgpa la rha hai to isme bacche ki dikkat hai but yess iims ne befaltu ka competition bada rakha hai baccho me sir is absolutely right

Students should be unite and stand against this.. will get justice on legal action.
1.Mid-semester exams are scheduled from July 23rd, preventing students from adequately preparing for exams, while simultaneously being asked to attend first-year classes and prepare for additional mid-sem exams on July 29th if opting for a repeat.
2.A notification regarding repeating or dropping out was issued on July 20th, giving students only 1 day to decide on a significant academic and life-altering decision.
3.During a meeting with professors which is arranged with struggle as they are not ready to meet, students below a 4 CGPA were allegedly met with mockery. Professors expressed gratitude for their input on grading issues and thanked them for pointing out as it will help them to improve next year, but their comments appeared dismissive of the students' deeper concerns and grievances.
And still students are using mobile phones/ smartwatches or even better, exchanging their answer scripts during quizzes to score better!!

Freshers are getting depressed and anxious and worried for the final year due to current situation in IIM ranchi, they have lot and pressure wheather they should continue studing there or should drop out atleast after all this they'll save the pressure of paying the loan amount, think about those 40 students how they pay back the loan now!!! No job andhow do you think first years students will do after this, also to add for them the minimum score increased to 4.5

WTF is this ....The Grades should be based on marks and not in some nonsense relative grading , where it makes no sense to mandatorily give an F grade to a student irrespective of marks scored .

4 professors who opposed the bell curve system are directly fired. There is a lot of politics going on right now.
They didn't even release the results after exams, they released the 1st term result after 4 months and for 3rd term after 3.5 months. And they didn't even mail the result out mail because they were late, in 2nd term they released the result in time so they mailed it.

relative marking is not acceptable at any cost. not even of minimum of 2.5 or 3.5
In induction class nothing iim Ranchi introduced . they only said about fees of more than 20 lakhs
The implementation of a bell grading system in schools can be challenged in court on grounds such as:
1. Discrimination: Violation of the Right to Equality (Article 14) and the Right to Education (Article 21A) for disproportionately affecting students from disadvantaged backgrounds or with disabilities.
2. Equal Protection: Violation of the Equal Protection Clause under Article 14, by treating students differently based on academic performance.
3. Due Process: Violation of the Right to Life and Personal Liberty (Article 21) due to lack of clear guidelines, fairness, and transparency in evaluation and grading.
4. Arbitrary and Capricious: Violation of Article 14, if the system is deemed unreasonable, irrational, or lacking a legitimate educational purpose.
5. Violation of the Right to Education Act (RTE), 2009, and other education-related laws and regulations.
It is useless grading system for IIM ranchi students. It is not justification for IIM students . Management should think on it.

One piece of information shared in this video is incorrect. According to the student manual, the bottom 5% of students will be awarded either C-, D, or F. It is up to the faculty to give an F or not. It is not mandatory for the faculty to Fail anyone.
5% must be in 0,1 & 2 this is mandatory, F is on Profs Hand.
This is why grading like FMS Delhi is best
