Hello again. Beautiful but i will never see the arrowhead shield the same way again. "Hey mate i just got a new Northwoods" "Oh aye, arn't they the butt plug knives? " Lol. 😇😂🤣
Here in Texas your potato chips are Frying. 🔥 it's about half the boiling point of water over here. Luckily I am inside & have AC. I don't have very many GEC's, but my favorite to carry is the #12 Northfield in Autumn bone. It's a great knife & does what I need. Great looking knives Paddy.
@@rhino5419 Damn, a wet bandana helps a little depending upon humidity. I have worked in extreme heat, and water is the best way to survive, inside & out. Fans help a tiny bit. Although I did catch a cold doing that one summer. I'd work in a hot un airconditioned factory, soak myself with water, then drive an Air Conditioned Jeep home. Felt nice, but I guess I was shocking my system.
Paddy, thats a keeper for sure. I too have a soft spot for that model and blade shape. So happy to hear it will be a user, the patina will be great. Hope she brings you many days of joy. Best wishes from Americas Heartland.
Absolutely stunning knives 👍 🇺🇸 I cannot wait to get #15 I love the new English Whittler to, but I hope to get a #71 in green Micarta, for my first GEC, in a few months, as I can not stretch to the other ones, at the moment, maybe when my channel grows a bit… Thanks 🙏🏼 for sharing Stephen :)
Well thank you Stephen for putting a BP in our minds while seeing an arrowhead! I can't say that they are not gorgeous, because i would be lying my ass off. Great knives they are. Thank you for showing.
Your knives are beautiful. The prices are still a huge barrier for folks. The most i have spent on a knife is about 150 bucks on a sixty year old case barlow in minty condition. Oh well, maybe one day. Once again really nice collection.
I’ve been coveting all of those GEC knives I see everywhere on You Tube. Those red slabs look so nice on this model. I think sawcut patterns remind me of fingerprints. They look nice and provide decent enough traction. It is crazy to think that it is so hard to get GEC knives inside America. Always sold out unless your willing to pay double to the eBay scalpers. I’m not willing to do it. For that kind of money I can buy the best Benchmade or Spyderco folders.
That is quite a collection of beautiful knives. This pattern has lots of variations; the easy open ones are something I don’t have any like yours. The smooth handle ones look much like ones made in Sheffield. They remind me of the Sheep foot and Lamb foot ones. GEC adds one more pin to handle of their models. It would be interesting to see how the two compare in size and blade shapes. 😏🗡
What do you think of the spinner Paddy? What spinners have you lurking in your collection? As you know, I am Idlespin on Reddit so curious to hear your take. Another cracking video, cheers pal.
I think you have just started a new internet meme there with the BP comment. I am probably in a minority of one but that does nothing for me, the bog standard 15 looks nicer to me. Talking about the knife of course!!
I used to see an arrowhead, now I can't unsee the BP.😆

Wow, that is nice!!!
I have a #15 with spear blade in Ebony. No easy-open notch. It is one of my favorite knives and is frequently in my pocket.

Beautiful example of a pocket knife!

Oh man Paddy that is a freakin beauty. If I go traditional it’s this style I’ll go for. Awesome 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Danny I'm fully into traditional knives now. I've got less and less locking knives.lol.

That's a gorgeous knife. And I'm nearly positive it has a convex grind. I could be wrong about that, though.
Butt plug ! 🔌 “Once I see that, I get excited”! 🤣

I think you’re losing the plot, that’s definitely a sheepscliffe, though some argue it’s a warnfoot! Nice piece all the same!
It’s a lambs foot
