  • This portion from Genesis 23:1 - 25:18 tells of Abraham's purchase of burial ground near Hebron with the cave of Machpelah to bury his beloved Sarah.
The next chapters are the account of Abraham finding a bride for his son, Isaac requiring a journey back to Mesopotamia and Abraham's brother. The account itself is Messianic in nature and provides us with a vivid picture of what the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are looking for in the Bride Yeshua is returning for. "Fettered beauty" is the meaning of Rebekah's name. A very interesting study indeed.
And finally is the death and burial of Abraham in the cave of Machpelah. A place revered by both Jews and Arabs alike.
