This was super easy to follow and took me about an hour and a half all together. I loved the end results and hopefully the birthday girl likes it as well.
Someone at work asked me to make him an owl and i didn't find any pattern that he liked and are easy enough for me to try. I'm sad I didn't notice you even got a full video tutorial of a nice owl 😍 Maybe I'll make it later :DD Thank you for the tutorial ❤
I'm glad you found him and hopefully will be able to give it a shot once you have time! That's too cute that your co-worker wants an owl, and even sweeter for you to make him one!❤🧶
I just made 2 today! I modified one of them to be a bit smaller by omitting the last round of the base and adjusting the rest. I made that one in baby pink and the larger one in baby blue. They are so cute! Thanks so much!!
Your videos are so detailed and helpful. As a beginner to crochet I learnt a lot of new techniques through this video and was able to follow along easily. Thanks for the amazing tutorial!
HELLLOOOOO, i just wanted to say thank you for this video, its was pretty well done and easy to understand, i found you when i was feeling a bit blue, u definitely brightened my mood, my owl (one of my fav type of birds) turned out a little wonky ngl 😂, tho thats ok, i crochet my own pupils which were not that bad at least… anyhow, thank you thank you thank you for this video, it was my first crochet stuffed animal and is definitely a memorable moment for me, I’ve started crocheting in primary school (turning 18 in a few hours 🫣) and somehow didn’t think of making an animal crochet until this month. A bit of an unnecessary story there but i couldn’t help it. Again thank you for this beautiful video🤍
Happy "almost" birthday! How exciting and how exciting to make your first animal! Thank you for your sweet words, they mean so much to me🥰 Owls are one of my faves too, so I'm so glad you found me! Hugs!!🎉
Whoop! Whoop! Waving my crochet hooks in the air and happy dancing when I see that my favorite ami coach is back!! So glad to see you - this owl is really adorable. I like the idea of the square bottom - might even add a couple of small feet at the front to help out with balance. Great tutorial as always!
Sooo cute. Made a dangling toy with rattle insert from it. I want to try and make a very small version to create a key chain. Thanks for the cute pattern and the great instructions.
I love them. I made mine in bright pink DK for a backpack buddy. I love the square body. Glad to see you back with another cute pattern. I think I'll be making quite a few of these. That have personality don't they? It's so interesting how they take on their own as you create them. ❤
oh yay!! I'm so happy you love them too! Also yay for hot pink, I love it. So great that the owl gets to live her best life going around town on a backpack, she's a true explorer.🥰 Personalty is right, I love how they transform in no time and sometimes when you least expect it!! Big hugs!😘
Fyi made one today in bulky velvet. Quite the puff ball. Very fun. I added feathers on ears and chest with contrasting color in mohair. By the way, I think your voice is so soothing and you rock your tutorials! 💖
@@mistydawncreates Misty! You rock! My hubby told me he fell in love with me because of my voice, hehe!! A Velvet owl would be a dream to snuggle - mohair on ears and chest though sounds even cuddlier, I like your style!🙌🏻😘 Hugs!!!
Thank you for this video!! Can I ask why at the beginning of the head/body it’s (1sc, 3sc) to get to 8 instead of increasing with two stitches in every stitch? Pls I’m so curious and would like to know if doing it differently would affect it🙏
Thank you for watching!😍 I increase like that to get more of a squarish shape for the bottom. It's just a slight square so you can feel free to make it more of a round bottom if you'd like. hugs!❤🧶
Do you have this as a written pattern. I think the fact you mark the last stitch as opposed to the first threw me off. I found that twice following the base stitch by stitch I ended up ending the round with the right amount of stitches but about 4 stitches away from the marker 😅
Oh no!! I'm sorry about that. Yes, I can see how that threw you off. Here's the link to the free pattern: yarnsociety.com/patterns/olive-the-owl/ I hope that helps!! Hugs!!❤🧶🥰

It isn’t annoying, it helps so much. I am relearning crochet and the animals are completely new for me. I am loving it. THANK YOU so much.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! You have just brightened my day! 😘 I'm so glad you're getting back into it and chose to try out some animals, you got this!🙌🏻
