I grew up Catholic, 30yrs ago I joined the Lutheran church but now as my husband is getting older and dementia is setting in,he doesn't want to attend church. I started following Charles Stanley. Then just recently I found your videos and I am new to bible journaling. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and suggestions. It has helped me tremendously.

I love your videos where you share your Bibles. You were the first person that I ever saw be this creative in their Bible. This particular video really spoke to my heart. I too grew up in a home where we only used KJV. When I was a little girl, I loved Precious Moments. I wanted their Bible so bad, but mom didn't want me to have it because it was NIV. I begged and begged until she agreed to let me have it as long as I didn't read it but just looked at the Precious Moments pictures. I remember having to keep it hidden so that no one would see that I had and NIV Bible. How sad! Mom was doing her best in what she thought was right. No parents are perfect.
Hearing preachers say, The Bible is so easy to understand even a child can understand it. Yet, here I was, confused like you were by a lot of it and wondering what was wrong with me. I knew I had been saved. So why couldn't I understand? Everything you shared in this video about yourself... I felt it too!
After watching one of your mini garden Bible videos a light clicked on... I am more of a hands on learner. I have taught Sunday School since I was 16. My goal was to make learning fun and the kids would want to come. Everything has always been Bible related, but fun! Songs, games, movies, crafts... etc. Kids have always loved my SS class.
HOW did I miss that with my own Bible studying? You opened a whole new world for me. I know recently you were attacked about how you study the Bible...please I beg of you, don't stop sharing YOUR method of learning! Please don't stop sharing your stickers, and pretties! How many more people will you reach that was raised just like you and I were? If you stop sharing the process videos- you will be hiding the light God gave you!
I have watched your videos where you show your pages, over and over and over. There is something about them that just gives me peace in my soul. Quietens my spirit and revives me at the same time. I could watch these types of videos every single day. I know I am not the only one!

I was not brought up in the church, I did not know there were any translations but the kjv. When I bought my first NIV Bible, it was eye opening. My family kept saying it was not the true word of God, but it was what I understood. I wish I could afford a Goat Skin Bible, but that is not something I could ever afford. I just want to Thank you for your testimony. May God Bless you always.
Never say it could never happen. Cat shared buying bibles from the thrift store in the being. Stay faithful to God and He will give you the desires of your heart.
lynn's journey I got a Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible for $5.99 at a Goodwill. I was so excited. Although the cover has a man’s name on it.

Great Testamony . I Gave My Life To Jesus in Fist assembly of God Church. I read read several transitions . The NLT is very easy to understand. My Favorites Translations are CSB, NKJ , and The NLT

Thanks sis, I totally agree with you! The best thing you said "don't idolise" - that is very very true. The bible is a tool to help us grow with our Lord and should be used. Keeping it pristine and worrying it might be destroyed will keep us away from the Word, and then you can see why those "Christians" feel right attacking you for what you do. I have watched you grow since I first found you in 2017, and I can honestly say through talking with you and watching my own journey BLOOM, that we can tell a person by his/her fruit. Your fruit is inspiring others like myself to deepen our relationship through your own love for the Lord. God's children come together, and attacks are from the enemy through other people. I have BLOOMED into my faith because I dared to write in my bibles. As long as we come to our bibles with love and reverence (so obvious from your videos sis), and it's opened every day, that's the most important thing. Whether a bible is $1 or $100, it's the Word of God. For someone to say "I don't write in premium bibles" sounds like a Pharisee! We are not defacing our bibles out of disrespect for our Lord. God looks to our hearts, and knows our intention. If this helps someone learn better, we are all different, then I don't see the issue. Love you sis, and your testimony is not unlike mine too. Thanks so much for sharing.
Cat the way you make these bibles yours by writing coloring etc is like giving God a BIG hug. I feel His love for you! Love you my Sister. I have many bibles also and you are right about each type of Bible. You go girl! BLESSINGS

Sadly I lost that Bible from moving so much after I was married. But my NIV is well written in. Now I am going to be getting the Inspired Bible in a few days. I have wanted to have one for a while now.
I just got my inspire Bible yesterday. Oh wow, it is absolutely beautiful. It’s a Bible and a coloring book. And I’ve already colored. LOL I’ve decided I’m going to do one book at a time and color my way through it!!
What a great video! I loved hearing about your journey! I can relate to some of it. The NIV was the translation that made the Bible come alive for me in 1999. Then I began using multiple translations at a time. Wow! That really changed things. Word studies came next. Oh my goodness! Going back to the original Hebrew & Greek … amazing! 🥰

Wow. I am so grateful for this video! I never new much the bible I have gotten a NKJV at the discount store and starting reading it and learning about God. But I needed more help and I found your channel and I re discovered a way to open up and look at different bible translations to help me grow watching other of your videos for help! Cat i was brought up in the Catholic church so I was never allowed to read the Bible. But when we moved to Philly when I was 12 and was once again in the Catholic school, but one night I went to the church because there was a new Priest and i wanted to hear what he had to say. It was amazing and my Spirit was flying. My dad was in the Marine corps and so we moved to Hawaii next and my mom found us a church that had the same vibes and my sisters and I were saved at this church. The Pastors daughter had lost her Bible and I happened to find it one day and gave it back to her, but she ended up giving it to me my first Bible King James Version. It was great and there was a lot of of writing in it that I put there. It was a Seaside Bible for children.

I so love this video! I was raised with the KJV, and I was in my thirties when I bought my first NIV. I am now in my 60’s and I have so many translations in a variety of different types of Bibles! You are 100% right on this!

I was using my induction bible which i still love but recently i bought the Inspire Praise Journaling bible (same as yours), Chronological bible. I also bought a Grateful Moment Journal and the Life Application Bible. i am sooooo happy.
It’s funny, as I listen you are telling my story. It was almost exactly the same. My grandparents gave me a bible but I just didn’t understand,then came another bible. It wasn’t until I bought my third bible that I started learning and understanding my relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Understanding The scriptures.

When I began seeking Jesus I too could not understand the KJV. I bought so many other translations and some of them made no sense either. And then, once I became born-again...things began to make sense little by little. It's been 6 years since I began earnestly seeking the TRUTH (and Jesus IS the truth), 2 years since I became "born-again" and increased in understanding, and now...I have gone KJV only and here is why...most other translations rely on "new meanings" translated into today's vernacular therefore a lot of bibles change, in addition...newer bibles have begun dropping entire verses and chapters and...a lot of bibles no longer say who did the translating. That may not make a difference to others but I wanted to see what Jesus has to say, and not men. Jesus' thoughts are higher than my thoughts so I don't rely on my thoughts when I read the bible. I don't go by what sticks out to me, or what speaks to me, etc. I just go by what the KJV says (it gets rid of a lot of the man-made doctrines when I do that). Anywho, I started with Genesis 1:1 and looked up every single word in the Strong's concordance and wrote it down. Every single one of those that I looked up that had root words I also looked up. If those roots had roots...I looked them up as well. And then, of equal importance and because the Lord God is perfection...I also looked up the number of times the word was used and looked up that number in both Greek and Hebrew and got the word meanings. Jesus said "You will know the truth and the truth will set you free." The Lord God gave us His word to KNOW the truth. His words are important. The end is from the beginning. Genesis 1 was the beginning so it made sense to look it all up and see what the Lord God had to say about it. For as long as you've been studying and reading God's word in other translations I think it will be worth your while to take another stab at the KJV, looking up each word, writing down the names, definitions, roots, and following them back, writing those down as well, and as you go writing down the names/definitions for the number of times the Lord God used that word, and looking up the roots for those words as well...at least for Genesis 1. If you do this...you will see clearly why Jesus said what He said while He was here, and you will also see why He said what He says in the book of Revelation. God gave us the full truth of who we are, what we did, and why He cares so much that He took on flesh and died so that we could live. And soon, He's coming for us!!! YAY! BTW...I love all your bible videos...they give me inspiration!

I can't help but wonder if your mom has changed her feelings on KJV only? I personally think it is best to use different translations and compare them. There is no perfect translation. Thank you for all you do in encouraging others to really get into their bibles.

I had the KJV only for years & could not understand what I was reading.
Sooo I got a HCSB Bible and I absolutely LOVE it!!! It was on sale at CBD and it is what I could afford at this time.
I actually can understand and memorize scripture!
Plus it has room to doodle and that helps me tremendously 🙌
I am trying to save for a premium Bible & I plan to be creative in it! 🙌💜

I bought one like this at WM last night. Wanting to color, do a lot of the things you did in your little Bibles. And to record and journal with how God is speaking to me. I don’t want separate. My goal is to get better at talking with the Lord. Did you just use pencils and highlighters? On Amazon there is a Complete Guide to Bible Journaling. Would you recommend it?

If you haven't grabbed the battlefield of the mind Bible. That's a much have. Even my brothers on here have purchased this Bible because I highly recommend it. Trust me you won't regret it. I'm not sure which tree your asking about sis. That bible comes with a lot of pre-printed pictures but I have used stamps and drawn my own. So I'm not sure what tree. Sorry sis thank you so much for watching I greatly appreciated it
