I live a couple miles from the foothills of the Tetons and we spend a lot of time sledding with our pack of huskies all over the area but after seeing this I feel like I really need to up my photography game lol. Thank you for the inspiration. Just beautiful.
I browse YT, see the channel preview and had to smile spontaneously, in anticipation of the video and the beautiful introductory music. Greetings from Schaumburg Germany
I've got to be honest, you make the best wildlife photography videos on UA-cam. Whenever you have a new video out I can't wait to watch it. Your mix of commentary, video, instruction and images taken are amazing.
Disappointed Steve that you couldn't nail a shot, you need to practice more and maybe go on one of Steve Perry's workshops. 😂😂😂😂😂 only kidding of course. Sat here watching your video with a roaring log fire. Thanks for the journeys in 2021, all the best to you and your family.
I like your river otter footage. Nice. Ive been trying to catch them here at Huntely Meadows Park in the morning but they have been coming before I can get there. they dont stay very long once they get there fish. a few people have been lucky enoug to get shots and footage. I will get mine soon. I got shots of a juvenile river otter at the beginning of 2021 in January but no video.
It's nice to see you posting again Steve. It seemed as though you'd slowed down a bit, but then I clicked on your IG page and saw what has so effectively distracted you. Certainly out kicked your coverage there didn't you. Congratulations to you both.
Hi Steve, I find your videos very entertaining, interesting and educational. I just love winter so much! I'm only 14 years old and I started wildlife photography 6 months ago and decided to try UA-cam about 1 month ago. I was also photographing in the snow the other day 🙃 Keep up the good work, your videos motivate me a lot. Greetings from Germany
Awesome stuff! I'm sure that this will not be our year to get snow, as it only snows here about every 5 years. Thanks for sharing your great images and video!
Love the otters. I didn't realize they were that skiddish. Overlooked gear question: How are those boots for long hikes? Can you go a few miles in them? What brand?
Stunning as usual. I love how the blur from the snow turned out on your pans - it’s gorgeous. Quick gear_head question, how is the Sony 400 f:2.8 with 2x TC versus your Nikon 600 f:4 with 1.4x TC? I am very familiar with that Nikon combo and I am trying to gauge if the Sony 400 with 2x is equally good and would be a better option than going back to a 600mm now that I jumped ship.
This interests me as well although I am still with Nikon. I am looking at spending the big bucks on a pro lens and really like the 400 2.8, 1.4TC, 2TC combo concept. I shoot general wildlife and enjoy time with the Pa. elk and birds of all kind. Comparisons to a 600 prime would be cool.
Hey Steve, Ahh man just love the snow falling eagle footage and the otters way cute. I was out yesterday and I just couldn't put a video together from my outting for Sandhill Cranes. But you sure pulled it off! Mind my asking about the mount in the hotshoe. For a action cam? I put my Gopro there at times. Sayin' hey... Greg
Hey Steve, funny how one can be so curious about gear. My problem is I tend to have to much and not a lot of time to use it. I need to learn to keep it simple! Thanks for sharing. Greg
Looks like a Beautiful place to spend a day, and ideal weather also. Those Eagle photos are Great and Beautiful footage also. Happy Christmas and New Year to You and your family Steve 👍🏻
Brrrrr...being from South Florida it might be too cold for me. But love all your video's during the winter months. Hey Steve I have a stupid question (hobbyist photographer). What is that device on your shoe mount on you Sony A1? Merry Christmas to you and the family.
Can someone explain me why some of the photos are at F11? I mean he has pro equipment, so that is not the reason. Is it because the camera doesn‘t focus correctly in the snow?

Totally awesome video Steve! I loved every minute! What a lovely setting!
Great stuff, Steve. As always. Those eagle shots, even if not 100% in focus are just overwhelming in their mood.
So neat! Good thing for warm, water proof boots 😅

Another great outing! Thanks!
I have one of your snow photos on my office wall. Moose the size of a barn. Thank you my talented friend.
Big Mel!

Real nice footage. I love a light snowfall too.
Great video Steve. I think the Otters you saw are the same family I photographed in October. I was lucky enough to spend a good hour with them.
Always good to watch a family of otters even for a brief moment.
Great video Steve. 👌👌
Super images!!!!
Hi Steve ! Your region is absolutely amazing ! Nature and animals - fantastic !!!
Beautiful video! Loved the otters even though they were short lived! Lol.
Epic eagle images Steve. Now go get a hot drink and thaw out your camera gear!

Beautiful Steve….the eagle in the snow flying cool
Yeah, I would say that was a good outing 😀. Beautiful images, great video.
Use the memory functions to switch between still and video mode. Life saver!

Love it! Bald eagles are my favorite animal, and you got some killer shots. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
Nice work Steve, glad you had a good day out there 😃
Thanks for sharing Steve!! The eagle photos were amazing as were there otters. Btw - also thanks for the exposure comp reminder.

great footage. I just got the Virginia Rail recently at Huntely Meadows Park in virginia. an extremely hard species to get footage of.
Great stuff, great video, thanks showing us snow looks like 😉
Wow ! It has always been a dream of mine to go over there and photograph wild animals :o)
Looks cold, said he watching this from my hotel in Sri Lanka after watching at dusk Peacock, Blue-tailed bee-eater and Loten's sunbird.
I'm jealous of snow. We haven't had any all year yet.
Merry Christmas, Steve!
Always fun to follow you on your photo adventures. Thanks.
Excellent video Steve. Have you received your Z9 ? Merry Christmas from Michigan.
Hopefully by the end of the week...

Tooooo much stuff to do...
Awesome nature and great pics--thanks for bringing it to us!
Those eagle stills looked portfolio worthy to me. No?

These are what I was wearing

I dig them but my Sorels are more comfortable but not waterproof...
Curious to know what is hooked into your hot shoe?
Phone holder
Great video! Is that Eagle wearing a leg band?
Yep
What is mounted on your hot shoe? Also what bird is it that was watching the eagle eat in trees?

The Sony system seems to work much better with TC's than Nikon dslr's. I haven't used the new Nikon Z TCs yet but I imagine they will work great too.

I liked your eagle photos but I could do without the snow. I hope 2022 is a good year for you and yours. PS...otters will drive you crazy:)

Hi Steve, could you please tell me about your gloves and are you happy with them?
Here they are
amzn.to/3yKF5ah
They are great👍
Steve, what video is it that you discussed plus one or plus two for exposure of snow?
You Need To Be Using Exposure Compensation

Thanks Steve. Appreciate your work and your time.
What are the gloves you use please?
Here they are
