The tip at 14:00 is god tier, been trying to eyeball a straight vertical core wood wall with tight log spacing for 2 weeks now. Appreciate you Galdoc 👍Old but gold.
Thank you SO much! I had to replace a log beam with wood iron in the exact same position for a lox breeder, and your trick for interlacing the beams worked perfectly so I could replace them exactly where they were. Bravo!
WOW this was very helpful I have been having issues placing my stack fence. Last night I started to redo it and understanding the snaps made it SO easy
Your like the person I need to be of advice in builds and big ones. Because I’ve encountered snap issues that are annoying to fix after the fact and too much time wasted going back to retro fix and issue still persist. But your video helped a lot. One annoying issue is when a floor tile is placed over a 2x1 or 2x4 Stone block on the edge and part the texture shows thru. But it does not do it with a smooth stone floor. I guess obvious the stone floor is smooth and not edge rough like the blocks. I guess can put down a double floor stacked to get rid the issue. But having an understanding of these mechanics helps immensely in builds. You are really great at these intricate tutorials explaining. At times hilarious also! But Do realize your far better than others at this kind of explaining and with patience to also show and explain. That’s Huge!
This guy knows how to make a tips and tricks video for building, god damn. You show things that any player can use at any stage. None of this "oh hey hope you already have a stone cutter"
Many thanks sir for the video, prior to seeing this I was oblivious to these snapping nuances. When building anything more complex than regular structures I found things to be a tad frustrating to get the results I desired, but now having followed your clear instructions, its become crystal clear. Great entertaining video also..subscribed.
I've been playing Valheim for a year now and thought that I know almost anything about the snap system. Cannot tell how wrong I was. The levels of description are THICC! Bet you are doing some 3D modeling. Also, jokes are real good, the door incident got me laughing.
One issue I'm having is with building off of existing stone structures. I really like to take existing structures and "finish" them. In the early game, before I have access to a stonecutter, I like to build off of the stone structures in the Black Forest. I keep having very slight alignment errors when I try to fill in the gaps in the stone structure with wooden walls. For example, there's a stone structure that looks like it has a simple 3x3 (using 2x2 floor tiles) interior spaces. But when I build poles up the corners, the subsequent walls and roof tiles I build don't quite seem to line up. Can you shed any light on that? Any advice to get things to line up nicely?
Often what happens there is that the wall stones, which have shifted, have snap points that are subtly pulling and shifting things as you add them. I might aim your ghost images at the beams you're building instead of at the wall.
I forget what food I was eating when I made that -- but mostly it was so I didn't just instantly die when I hit the ground after fly-cancelling lol. But, I think it was ... Blood Pudding, Lox Meat Pie, and Serpent Stew. Mind, this was before the Big Food Changes, so it's probably different now.

This is one of if not the best build guide I have seen to date. Well done dude!!

Just now found this guide. Truly a great job! Thank you.

This was both extremely informative and very pleasant to listen to. Totally solved my issue of stones snapping to the wrong corner, too!
extremely helpful, this video needs more eyeballs on it

Very cool. I'll have to view this one more than once.
You deserve more subscribers. This was fantastic!
Such a good video! Informative, hilarious and still gets to the point really quick. Perfect! Thank you!
What a wonderful lesson! Thank you so much. I've learned a lot from it.
The freaking waffle bit got me so bad hahahha
Very informative - Thank you!

You are quite right! Blender is my main program! And thank you :)

Your snap distance seems much more forgiving than mine is in game. Do you know of anything I could try to make it less finicky? Does zooming in help?
Hm. It should be universal, but I did zoom in to get it. It may have changed, however.
I want to know how you got 200 health!

@@galdocstutorials I am jealous. I do good to get to 100 health but then i have only completed the second boss... guess i have a ways to go :)
The game Satisfactory makes most other build snapping systems look like garbage. Valheim has a long way to go.
