I like your channel that covers both English, social and cultural traditions as well as the choices of word for various situations. It would be nice if you share some discussion on the choice of words in broader contexts. For example, toilet is rarely used in USA as they use the word to specifically refer to the stall and bathroom/restroom is used to refer to the whole room (though there is no bathtub).
I read the same in many books (about pardon being an archaic word) as well. But in reality, my English colleagues, very young, all in their 20s, most of them do say "pardon" quite a lot. It is sometimes embarrassing that I should seem to be the only one who says, "Sorry?".
