I appreciate these videos. I have a 2006 Scion xB my wife bought when I was in Kuwait and Syria in 2018. It had bearing problems on the front wheel and stayed just setting up for over a year until I for the first time in my life changed the hub bearings. It was a journey. It still has many problems but these videos help immensely. Thank You.
Mine had hub issues in both front wheels. They are a pain to replace. I actually paid to have them done. Good for you to fight that battle. I'm glad the videos are helping. That's why I made them. If I can do it, you can do it. Thanks for watching.
That was very in detail and will be helpful for anyone who's never done brakes before .. love your videos man I work nights but lose sleep every Tuesday just to watch these videos when they come up .... ps I really think the toyota on the calipers would have been a cool little detail
Thanks for sharing! I remember doing this on my old box 😢 it isn't as memorable as the first time I did the rears 😖😣😫 it took me way too long. But I'm good now. Just as easy as front... Not quite but close enough😅
Subtítulos en español …. Por favor !!!! Adquirí una Scion xB 2005 y este canal me a salido de maravilla…. Gracias por sacar de su tiempo para ayudar al prójimo a mantener nuestros vehículos…. Namaste 🙏🏾
I love the your channel and your video's are very helpful. I am a new proud owner of my first toster sadly it blew a gasket and I am pulling the motor and putting a used one in. This is the first time I have ever pulled an engine hope I can put it all back together. Lots of love from Utah!
Yes sir! School is in...ya gonna learn 'em with this...don't forget lube...reminder...m/c reservoir may run dry...work with a sense of urgency until line(s) done...one love!
Instead of that grease, I like using a dab of anti seize in the contact areas where the pad and caliper rub against each other. Helps prevent brake Hangup and uneven wear. Also, silicone lube on any rubber boots, guide pin covers and dust caps. Bleeding out a little fluid from the caliper is good during a brake job anyway. That’s the high point of fluid degradation.
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers I see. I didn't realize Rustoleum was also a building material (my experience is limited to using it as a rust converter/inhibitor). Gotta check out your video on that.:)
Great video! Question: Mu xB has new brake pads but the rotors didn't get switched out by the previous owner and I'm getting some uneven breaking. It's only ran for about 200 miles like this. Can I just swap out the rotors to fix the problem?
This has me wondering if there’s a cheap “big brakes” kit available? On my ‘12 Camry I found out that ‘08 Highlander front caliper and rotors fit. Only caveat is that you have to run at least a 17” rim.
First thing, did you apply the decals on the door of camera or did I miss a video? With that out the way the brakes came out looking great! The contrast with the wheels "and decals" looks sick. I wanted to avoid wait time when I painted my brakes so I picked up a pair of calipers and brackets at a yard for cheap and had them powder coated then just swapped them out with the old ones. I have yet to change the brake lines but like the braided ones you installed. Great video dude!
I forget to mention the new graphics. I promise to lead the next video off with that. Great idea about having a second set of calipers. I wish I was as smart as you, JC.
do you have to remove the Hub in order to replace the metal splash shield?...........getting ready to order new ones since mine are falling apart (salt, n rust).
ok, i see - i will cut that small section to slip them off, then cut new ones to slip over...not even sure if i would need to tack weld it(where i cut it) after installation and bolting it down......Any suggestions?
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers aw man I misinterpreted what you said in that video! I watch every week haha. Love your videos! I woulda loved to see you install the Willwood big brake kit they make for the first gen xB. They would have looked MEAN on your box

I've been on the road all day today running errands and it's nice to come home and have a video up time to kick back relax and watch your video
Enjoy! Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
My grandpa and I did this last week, honestly a good and simple task anyone can do and it was good to learn.
Big facts. This is really an easy job, but if you asked a shop to do it, it would be around $500. Save money and do it yourself!! Thanks for watching!
The master of one-handed moding! Great video man, I wish I saw this before I did my brake pads and rotors :/ forgot to bleed my brake lines.
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
I found him last night I got some on the way have a blessed week to come my brother
You too!

Very cool. Thank god I had a buddy that showed me how bleed my brakes!! Nice job!
Thanks 👍

You'll be fine. It's not that hard, it's just scary!! Thanks for watching! I hope to visit Utah someday.
great video..didn't even know they made those types of rotors...im from indiana so ill be getting those for sure lol.
I didn't know either until I started doing some research. Thanks for watching!
Hey scion mob! “Ballin’ on a budget and wrenching in the garage” I changed cabin air filter $2.30 rock auto. Piece of cake!
$2.30 + $8 shipping. Lol. Rockauto always screws you with the shipping.

I like that garage floor of yours and the fact that you keep it very clean. Is it fancy concrete or just huge tiles?
Thanks! It's Rustoluem! I did a video on it. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the guide! Are u aware of any good options for upgrading the brake calipers and larger rotors on the 3rd gen Prelude?
Yep. I made a video about it.

Yes, you can just replace the rotors if the pads are that new. Thanks for watching!

As shown in the video, there are no cheap "big brakes" in the video.

No. Watch last week's video to learn how to remove it.

Yes, remove all together. They are useless.
#TOASTAATOOSDAYY‼️💪🏼😎
Heck yeah!
Having upgraded brake lines are just cleaner and more durable right. It won’t improve the braking power
I doesn't improve braking power, but it does improve feedback because you no longer get any flex in the line. Thanks for watching!
What happened to the big brake kit
You missed what happened. Gotta watch every week! Check out the cargo basket video for the answer.

Does any one can help me
Does the 2004-2006 scion xb has egr valve?
I am replacing with a Jimmy Japanese motor
Please help
Nope.
Guys it’s a potentially Factory Rear Disc mod from a modern OEM TOYOTA vehicle 👀 4x100 and it not the old Corolla 👀
Hey new box owner here, those are brake hoses not lines us rust belt mechanics get ptsd when we hear brake lines.
Thanks for watching! You must be new to the channel. I say everything wrong all the time! 🤣😂 You're PTSD is about to have PTSD!
