- Legendary Bhimsen Joshi was drawn towards music by Raag Basant by Khansaheb Abdul Karim Khan's Phagwa Brij Dekhan Ko Chalo Ri. So today I share the same - The best composition ever in Raag Basant "Phagwa Brij Dekhan Ko Chalo Ri" followed by Drut Bandish "Geli Geli". The enthusiasm with which he is singing makes it no doubt his all time favourite composition.
Recorded in 80s, Harmonium is Shree Purushottam Walawalkar while Tabla is by Shree Nana Muley.
I just wish it was video recording. I'm more excited to see Purushottam Walawalkar. He used to be so synchronized with him that it felt like Bhimsen would stop singing at any time and he will start singing.

Replying for other comment about Khambavati. Actually there is quite a confusing regarding that raag. But be assured that Hey Mahadev is an typical composition in raag Khamaj Bhatiyar or Jhinjhoti. Some say it is Khambavati but Bhimsen had another bandish that also in raag Khamvati Pancham - bheda paar karva do.
@@Bhimmanna you can listen to someone else's Kambhavati for that reason

@@Bhimmanna it actually matters because, you can confirm that yourself about the swars used in Raag Kambhavati by all artists and that title can be changed

Do You know that Shree Mataji Nirmala Devi was incarnated Sakshat Shree Adi Shakti . She redeem many people from many fisical and mental problems by giving selfrealasation. Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and Pandit Jasraj there were born because of her wish to listen such great musicians in her life-time

Pt. Bhimsen Joshi would also perform for Bhagwan Shree Satya Sai Baba. I even have those recordings from 1978 and 1992.
