  • Pandit Parameshwar Hegde was drawn into music at young age. Under the influence of his father late Shri Govinda Hegde, he started learning Hindustani music when he was ten years old. Soon, under the guidance of Sri.S.M.Bhat and Pandit Chandrashekar Puranika Math, he further pursued learning Hindustani Classical music. In 1976, he went to Dharwad to seek advanced training under Pt Basavaraj Rajguru.
He is a genuine custodian of the art of legendary musician Pt. Basavaraj Rajguru who's music is a confluence of three gharanas- Kirana, Gwalior and Patiala. He is not only a Hindustani Vocalist of international acclaim but also a towering Guru who has passed on his legacy to hundreds of deserving heirs. An 'A' grade artiste on All India Radio, Hegde ji is a major attraction at prestigious music festivals in India and abroad. Through his untiring efforts and imaginative programs, he has been able to attract and nurture outstanding musicians and Gurus of tomorrow.
This is an old concert recording of Pandit ji.
    Tabla: Pt Omkar Gulvady
    Harmonium: Pt Vyasamurthy Katti
