      Oh wonderful! I would recommend placing decorations on the cake the day of the event ... moisture from the environment and/or refrigerator can cause them to soften! If you want to make them in advance and store them, put them in a sealed container after they're assembled. If you have a little dessicant pack from a bottle of vitamins or something, that would help keep moisture at bay too!

      I haven't tried honey, but glucose would work! I will try it with honey soon to see if it works...very much preferable to corn syrup~
