Don’t forget there’s ton of stuff to do around Florida too. Not even counting universal so if you need a day off of Disney you can do new things in Florida
I can understand your concerns about losing the magic. Maybe you could share with us some of the other things that Orlando has to offer too, that way you’d build up the excitement for Disney!
Every time My family, and I watch your vlogs we feel as if we are there experiencing the magic with you! So neat and exciting to watch your new journey unfold!
You worry about loosing the magic but in 20-30 years the magic will change to through your kids and grandchildren eyes. Which is a whole different experience. Thank you both for sharing your love and passion for Disney. I have enjoyed watching your journey. God bless Nikki
I honestly don't feel you will get bored while living in Florida and visiting Disney regularly. Disney is constantly changing and coming up with new things, to keep things exciting and interesting. You guys are very lucky! And we're lucky we can experience it through your vlogs 🙂 Can't wait!
Moving several times in a few years is what prompted me to become more of a minimalist than I already was! I'm loving the look of the gondolas too and excited to ride them!
@White Chocolate YES! That was one of my favorite things was a Publix chicken tender sub. Not sure if they still do it, but I would have them press it like a Cuban sandwich.
I really enjoyed David’s long and eloquent input on keeping the magic as a resident! Also, with all that dining maybe a spreadsheet is necessary to remember what you ate and if you liked it.
I grew up in South Florida and we always drove to Disney. The trams from the parking lot are so nostalgic to me!!! I haven't used one in many years, but seeing you guys on that one definitely brought back a lot of memories of going to Disney with my family!
I love this reflection of living there and now living at the magic. I’m praying that you never get bored or run into a rut and that it’s always exciting🎉. You both deserve all of it❤️ and so much more 🎉.
So nice to see brothers enjoying themselves together. I think both of you have a lot to offer and look forward to seeing same. Your parents are to be commended for raising such nice young men. Enjoy.
I don’t think you’ll get bored because there are so many details and they change things all the time. The only way you might get bored is if you stick to your favorite restaurants rather than try new ones but you already mentioned how excited you are to try new things! There’s more to do than can ever be done ;-)
You won't get bored, because life changes will make it new over time. Disneyland became new to me when I got married and shared it. When we had a child, it changed and became new again. It's wonderful how this all works out!
The staycations are a great idea. Looking forward to more of your reviews on each place . Especially looking forward to more of your cruises . You both always add your positivity and great personalities in all your vlogs. God Bless you as you settle in the new place .
My brother was stationed on Andrews in DC and my hubby and I would visit. There was lots to do, museums, monuments, etc. However, I don't think you'll ever get bored going to Disney. They are always adding new rides, events, etc ,so it will always be fun and adventurous 🤗 Glad your all having a blast!!!
You’ll find yourself doing things you haven’t been able to do before because you always have that list of things to do. As a Florida resident and having an annual pass I still find myself doing new things. It’s nice seeing someone so giddy about it...every time I go I still get giddy myself. Tip: when parking your car take a pic of the aisle number.
Loving your vlogs and your excitement! I’m truly so excited for you and David! Parking at Disney Springs is another great option to get to other resorts. Parking is free and the buses run to most (or all) resorts! :) Wishing you guys the best and looking forward to more vlogs!
Loving the vlogs. It’s been 10 years since my internship at WDW. Did I lose my pixie dust/magic? Not even the slightest bit to close! It’s grown. Hakuna Matata about that. David’s comment was spot on. Think of it this way: when you get a new car, you have to get used to all the new settings and it’s a different windshield. You’d been so used to the older car (flying to WDW and taking Magical Express) that it just takes a little time to adapt to the new one (Disney’s closer than it appears now) because you’re a lot closer.
Michael! You can save time and park at the resorts if you are going to eat/shop there. Just tell them at the gate! Hope this helps and saves you travel time! Have a magical day!! Love your channel
Thank you for taking the time to meet with my mother and I. Michael and David are kind gentlemen and just like they are on video. Congratulations on simplifying to a fanny pack! A year later, I still carry a backpack or purse. If you like meatloaf, try the Winn-Dixie deli meatloaf. Such true words: "Welcome to our backyard!"
I find it very funny to see that for you, arriving by car and getting in the tram is a different feeling. For us that’s what we did in our first and only visit to Disney! We did get on the monorail and boats but no Magical express.
Thank you for the kind words about Publix Supermarket,as a stock holder we appreciate it, it's great to be able to experience the magic thru you, as a former Fla resident and pass holder it will be nice to see through your eyes, between my trips
It made my heart happy to hear you say that Hershey Park was fun for you guys when you went. We’re in MD but we’re passholders there LOL! And you’re not the only one with a lot of stuff. I’m trying to purge a lot of it down before our move to Orlando. More memories, less things. Great video!
I don't think you'll get bored with Disney. You may have times where everyday life comes in the way and you aren't going to the parks every single day, or even weekend. How awesome though to think that on any day of the week you can decide, even last minute, to just go to the park to eat, ride one ride, or just be in the Disney bubble!
Three thoughts to share: 1. As long as you can keep your penultimate positive attitude about all things Disney, the magic will stay! 2. As time passes & you find yourself in different seasons of life, your appreciation/ nostalgia about Disney will only grow! 3. Focusing on the past can lead to depression. Focusing on the future can lead to anxiety. Best approach is to focus on the present and being mindfully present in every moment of each day! You’ve got this!!!
The best part about being a local is the no rush feeling you will experience in the parks. It was probably after our 3rd visit as local passholders that it finally clicked and we realized there was no longer a need to see everything in one or two days. Now sometimes I go to one of the parks alone during the middle of the week and ride one ride, have a late lunch and drive home. That actually how I make most of my vlogs in the parks. It’s the best. On a side note what camera did yo use for this vlog? Looked like maybe a GoPro with that wide field of view, but not all warped like GoPros are sometimes.
We loved the trams when we would go when I was a kid. ( we stayed off property ) It was like the 1st ride like when you get to the airport and the monarail at the airport is the 1st ride! Such a wonderful feeling knowing all of disney is right there ! One day we will experience it!💙💙
When you move away from family and friends to a new place, you will find newness in people as well as things or places. It's friendships and family that bring us joy. Happiness is found in temporary things. And that is totally great. I find happiness in Disney, cheeseburgers, movies, waterparks, etc. But it's the relationships that give you long lasting joy. You will make new friends, cultivate current friendships, have family visit and someday maybe have your own family... and that's a whole other venture that you will never get bored with. AND.... you will get to experience the awesomeness of Disney with them. People rarely move because they get bored. They move in search of something... a dream, job, family, friends, etc.
Welcome to Florida hope you like it here I lived here my entire life 38 years and I'm still as much as a Disney fan as I was a child and I can promise you a magic never goes away every time I go to the park is just as magical as the time before there's always new memories to make so don't worry about losing the magic it's always going to be there as long as you remember the kid inside of you
You will never get bored because its always changing. Like even just Hurricane Hannas, if you go back in a year or two they will have new menu items, etc..
As for losing the magic; I am 33 years old. I have lived in the Orlando area pretty much my entire life. I was a very lucky child in that my family frequented all the theme parks that Florida has to offer. And to this day...I not only do I still love going to and experiencing everything that Disney has to offer, but I also still seek out Disney vloggers such as yourself and many others and watch all of that content on a daily basis. If you have a true love of Disney its a part of your being and it isn't just about the theme parks - it's about the memories and emotions that it lets you relive. And as you grow older it just shifts into new ways to experience and share the magic depending on how your life changes - sharing your experience and joy with new friends, spouses, children...pets lol.
Just a quick note, you can park at the resorts if you are there for dinning and/or shopping. Just be honest when you get to the booth and they will let you in, the only time they may say no is if you say your just going to walk around and parking space is limited that day.
Michael what in the world are you doing parking at the parks then trying to find your way to the resorts lol! As a Orlando resident and past cast member at the Beach Club you go to the resorts and say “I’m here for dinner.” I always make a reservation before I go (on the app) and if you have a reservation they look it up and let you in no problem or most recently they have been asking me to show them my reservation. I think they can scan your wristband too to get the reservation. If you don’t have a reservation they let you in if it’s not at capacity. Like if it’s Christmas, New Years or whenever it’s super busy at the parks then they put a sign out front that says they are at near capacity, but if you have a reservation to eat I think they have to let you in. I went the other day and the sign was up but showed them my reservation and got in not problem.
So many ways to never get board. Now you can pace yourself a and mix up things. Like save certain places for special occasions only, make one day a month a only new things day(only things you have never tried before) Then like you said trying everything on a menu, and more. Idt you will ever get tired of the magic. You may enjoy being able to be more selective with temperatures and crowds now as well. (:
I lived in Annapolis/DC area for about 8 years, but in 2015 moved (back) to the Midwest... Six Flags and the museums lost their charm, but wow do I miss the food, a problem that doesn't exist in Orlando.
Nothing compares to Disney and Universal. In fact, most people I know that go to Orlando for vacations, end up loving Universal more, my sister, cousin and neighbors are some of them. I'm more of a Disney fan bc it is Disney (my childhood), but love both resorts.
Saw you last night on Resorttv1 live vlog while at HS!!! So glad to see y'all out and about. Btw, subscribed to you guys. I'm only subscribed to 2 vlogs!!! Love you guys!!! Can't wait for MORE!!!
Hey Michael. David is right. It's going to be a different experience. The magic never gets old Bec there is so new things that pops up all the time. I moved down from Pa and I was not that big of a fan of Disney but since I moved down I have become a bigger Disney fan. Disney truely offers something you can never get anywhere else. Also you will love it not having to rush. You will probably see things you have never seen before Bec you would always be rushing around. It great to relax and people watch. Lol.
I'm glad your dad and David moved to Florida with you. Hopefully in the next few years the rest of your family will move there too. Have a magical day. 😊
You may want to hit the parks for EMH or for special events to get you in to make fast passes earlier than if you were staying locally. For example, if you hadn’t already made your plans for galaxies edge, you could do the EMH ours and get in early rather than wait in line if you stayed on property.
There re limitless experiences both in and outside the parks. The whole resort has so many things to offer. There is a constant flow of new things and refurbishments and new menu items all the time, new and limited experiences, merchandise etc. Plus there is also Universal Studios to explore. And several many other theme parks and attractions in the Orlando area and more to try. You guys have so many experiences and opportunities ahead of you. I have confidence you guys won’t get bored. I hope someday I can move to close to Disney World. I really want to be able to experience the magic more of everything. I’m so excited to see what Disney & Universal (both) will have to offer in the future. Universal has a new park coming. And Disney has new lands and potentially if rumors hold true maybe a new park gate. Plus there’s also trips you can go on hopefully to other Disney parks eventually. I’d love to be able to visit every Disney Park someday. I’m loving that Disney is getting more artistic with some of its food of late. I hope that trend stays. Tokyo Disney seems to have a ton of focus on cute food and I want that attention of d tail in the US parks to be there just as much.
Just so you know, you can park at any resort as long as you tell them you are going to eat at a specific restaurant. I’ve parked at the Poly for Captain Cooks and the Yacht Club for Ale and Compass without a reservation. Also I think I saw you paying for parking and you don’t have to do that with an Annual Pass. Lastly you can memorize or type in the Lot and Row your car is in so you only have to walk down the row to your car. Love watching you enjoy the first days in Florida!
I want as far as Publix goes awesome grocery store the best place to get cakes for birthdays and celebrations absolutely delicious and if you're a pampered person like myself then you will love the macarons absolutely amazing
Staycation idea! Once all of the construction at Caribbean Beach/Riviera is completed take a few days to enjoy it. They’ve got a great pool and a fantastic restaurant Sebastian’s Bistro and hammocks all around to relax in, If you do have the urge to go into the parks or just want to get something to eat from say EPCOT, it’s just a skyline ride away.
No that's not alot of boxes. But you have one room to yourself it is. An extra room would be nice. Enjoyed video. I have walked where have that day. Been down that ship slide.😁😊😊ty
I don't think Disney will ever get boring. The place is constantly changing and evolving with new things coming out all the time! Unlike the normal six flags or other theme parks that rarely change, Disney is never the same from year to year. I doubt you will get bored, even in 20 years 😊
Love watching you settle in to the new life! Since life as a Florida resident seems more laid back wondering if you might change your music to reflect your new tropical home....just a thought for the future 😀
Wait until you have kids and have lived in a home for 20 years, lol. My oldest son, who unfortunately passed at age 11 from brain cancer, was a hoarder. He owned a few more boxes of stuff than you. It has been a little over 4 years and I still have to go through about 80% of it. Since the beginning of the year the rest of the family have been slowly purging stuff and donating what can be, and making trips to the dump for what can’t. It is very freeing to unload “stuff”.
You could've tried the Fountain restaurant at the Dolphin. I've heard it's very similar to Beaches and Cream, and you could basically walk there from the Boardwalk. I wouldn't worry about getting bored. There's so many things to do in Orlando aside from Disney. Also, if you get bored, just move somewhere else.
We cleaned out our stuff before a move and then again after the move. Since we are getting ready for our last move we are cleaning out more stuff. Simplify things is great. Great tip if you have not used it in six months and it's not holidays specific then donate it.
Also new trick you need to learn, when you’re in the parking lot once you hit the end of your road take a photograph with your camera of the road and name the number and name so that you will remember where to go back to should you need. Just in case your phone is low on battery and you can’t do the GPS option
I truly believe you will not become bored...There will always be something new and as you mentioned, there is SO MUCH to do! Rest assured, you made the right decision - no regrets! 😉
Yes! Having that much stuff is normal... I've always wanted to try and live a minimalist life.... yeah it won't happen. I think there is actual parking at the boardwalk too. I think if you park at the resort it's now only 2 hours free parking or you can valet, so it may not be worth it to do that. I agree with David, I don't think you will ever run out things to do, Disney is always changing. Always something new to see and do.
Now that you're Flordia residents you should consider getting Tables in Wonderland. It is $150 and you can get another one for $50 for David. You get 20% off on restaurants and cocktails. It will save you in the long run
Me and my mrs have been following your vlogs for a few months now and we only have 1 question. Have you got any intention of visiting Universal & Islands of adventure? We haven't even heard you mention Universal 😂. We always like your videos. You have a really good voice for vlogging and look forward to seeing you in action in the parks.
Lol, I don't think you have as much stuff as I do, add 20 years and then look back you would be shocked especially if you are a collector of things like Disney it adds up. Tfs Michael and Dave, be blessed as well as dad.
Great FAST ACTION video Michael. Exciting for David to get his annual pass... as a Floridian resident, David needs to get into shorts pretty soon. Tram ride is a new attraction for the brothers. Friendship Boats are awesome and always a wonderful view. Your shoulders will not know what to do without the backpack. "Back Yard" comment is perfectly a great statement. Those burgers look so good; you are making us hungry. Great idea to put the fries on the burger; makes a different taste. Thanks for the review of Hurricane Hanna's. There is toooo much to see in Disney to get bored; don't think it ever will be boring ~ Michael and David, you will never, ever lose that Magical experience. Great possibility is to get JOBs at Disney which would be outstanding. Was that ever one of your DREAMS??? Rain; no big deal ~ it is just part of the magic. Another great day of tagging along with the BROTHERS... so much fun, so much information ~ keep it coming. Tell Dad we missed him today...
I know the feeling of thinking you have too much stuff... in the process of moving right now and it seems that even though you donate, throw away or sell a lot of things prior to the move, you still have a tremendous amount of stuff left 😅
Was that a half eaten Turkey Leg on the tram floor??
5 років тому+1
We Don't mind driving our Rental Car to Parks if Bus line is too long. Especially if Mom isn't with us. Her scooter isn't able to b taken apart so we drive when she isn't with us. Staying on Property gets FREE Parking at Parks.
Park at the resorts and just be honest with the guard at the gate and they will let you in. They will let people in who will spend money on food/drink and shopping.
Loving watching these videos!
Don’t forget there’s ton of stuff to do around Florida too. Not even counting universal so if you need a day off of Disney you can do new things in Florida
So did David and your dad move to Florida also? I thought I heard you say something about their Florida ids and passes yesterday
I can understand your concerns about losing the magic. Maybe you could share with us some of the other things that Orlando has to offer too, that way you’d build up the excitement for Disney!
Solo Lifing really appreciate
@ Universal Orlando too.
Busch Gardens at Tampa.
Michael: "It's everything I wanted." Outstanding.
So many boxes! Nice to see the adventure and your thoughts 😊
God bless Nikki
nikki Smith that is what I was telling him. The magic grows when seen through your child’s or grandchild’s eyes for sure
I honestly don't feel you will get bored while living in Florida and visiting Disney regularly. Disney is constantly changing and coming up with new things, to keep things exciting and interesting. You guys are very lucky! And we're lucky we can experience it through your vlogs 🙂 Can't wait!
5:30 ((smiles in awww)) “Welcome to my backyard.”
Love it! 👌🏼👍🏼😁
Moving several times in a few years is what prompted me to become more of a minimalist than I already was! I'm loving the look of the gondolas too and excited to ride them!
I’m so excited for it all! 😊
So the tram can now be the first official ride 😄
Publix chicken tenders are life changing.
@White Chocolate YES! That was one of my favorite things was a Publix chicken tender sub. Not sure if they still do it, but I would have them press it like a Cuban sandwich.
Yes, the chicken tenders are something that needs to be in your life. Either on a sandwich or just chicken tenders. They are life changing
I really enjoyed David’s long and eloquent input on keeping the magic as a resident! Also, with all that dining maybe a spreadsheet is necessary to remember what you ate and if you liked it.
Serena The Swede yes...it would be nice to go back to some of the restaurants where your meals were just okay and try them again
joanne Harda yes, indeed. I also thought about one of the latter cruises where Michael could not remember what he’d had there before.
I love watching the people in the background. That line of kids was hilarious!
Great Vid Love Disney!
I grew up in South Florida and we always drove to Disney. The trams from the parking lot are so nostalgic to me!!! I haven't used one in many years, but seeing you guys on that one definitely brought back a lot of memories of going to Disney with my family!

Living in MD, I can agree. MD has lots to offer but, as a Disney fan there's nothing here in MD that compares to that! I want to make the move.

Catching up on your vlogs.😀🙏🏻❤️
You may want to hit the parks for EMH or for special events to get you in to make fast passes earlier than if you were staying locally. For example, if you hadn’t already made your plans for galaxies edge, you could do the EMH ours and get in early rather than wait in line if you stayed on property.
Publix Macadamia Nut and White Chocolate Cookies are legendary!
Yola A sounds amazing
Plus the parks are always growing and changing too, so there will always be new things to try as well
There re limitless experiences both in and outside the parks.
Oh, And you need to go to Crews Cup and try their burger. It’s in my opinion the best on property!
So exciting!
Liking the relaxed feel to your vlogs.
It is very freeing to unload “stuff”.
so sorry for your loss, that is heartbreaking! taken too young...
You could've tried the Fountain restaurant at the Dolphin. I've heard
it's very similar to Beaches and Cream, and you could basically walk
there from the Boardwalk. I wouldn't worry about getting bored. There's
so many things to do in Orlando aside from Disney. Also, if you get
bored, just move somewhere else.
I think it will be different in the future. When you have a wife and kids you’ll experience the magic all over again through their eyes.
We cleaned out our stuff before a move and then again after the move. Since we are getting ready for our last move we are cleaning out more stuff. Simplify things is great. Great tip if you have not used it in six months and it's not holidays specific then donate it.
When you have your own kids it will be a whole new amazing experience of introducing your kids to the magic!
5:20 "Am I on vacation? Oh, no, this is my life."
Also new trick you need to learn, when you’re in the parking lot once you hit the end of your road take a photograph with your camera of the road and name the number and name so that you will remember where to go back to should you need. Just in case your phone is low on battery and you can’t do the GPS option
yes!!! my ocd flared up with this lol
I think Disney Springs has busses to all the resorts, and there is no parking fee at Disney Springs.
sushi toro is my fav spot from dc :) but Ive been here a while I do not miss it except some food and sports and museums
I truly believe you will not become bored...There will always be something new and as you mentioned, there is SO MUCH to do! Rest assured, you made the right decision - no regrets! 😉
How much did you spend on boxes!! Lol! When my son moved, they spent hundreds on them!!
Proof that you’ve actually unpacked and haven’t spent all your time at Disney. 😂 I’m totally teasing. I’d be at there every waking minute too.
You definitely have a ton of gear. Simplicity is the key to life 😉
Was your studio in your bedroom at your old place?
I’m having a massive clean out atm & I can’t believe I’ve so much 😱
Nice build up. Tomorrow's vlog should be a hoot!
He really said they used to go to Hershey park. Funny story we are going tomorrow. But still we love your videos. Thank you
Hey, I used to work at Hershey Park!
I just wanted to share (and someone correct me if things have changed) you can park at the resorts if eating at the resort.
Orlando is a great place. Give Universal Studios a chance.
Thanks for showing entrance onto the transportation for us disabled folks ☺
Lol, I don't think you have as much stuff as I do, add 20 years and then look back you would be shocked especially if you are a collector of things like Disney it adds up. Tfs Michael and Dave, be blessed as well as dad.
I am glad David moved with you too so you have family around !
I love the lobster rolls from hurricane hannahs!
We Don't mind driving our Rental Car to Parks if Bus line is too long. Especially if Mom isn't with us. Her scooter isn't able to b taken apart so we drive when she isn't with us. Staying on Property gets FREE Parking at Parks.
Park at the resorts and just be honest with the guard at the gate and they will let you in. They will let people in who will spend money on food/drink and shopping.
Yes,just tell them you are there to eat, shop, or explore. They give you about a 3 hour limit if it’s really a busy time of year.
It doesn’t seem like that much until you have to pack up and move🤣🙂🥰😘😉
