Your solar lanterns would look extra beautiful sprayed in the same bronze as your foyer ceiling 😍
Yes, yes, YES! Copper would be a beautiful accent! It would all tie together, the black & natural wood & copper would match. HUGS~Donna
Awww I loved when you put up the sunflower on your door. Phil is such a sweetheart!! He let you lift the plywood and he held the camera!!! 😂
Sunflower Studio still my thought😊
You guys are so fun and funny! When Phillip walked up and down the stairs and said he could do it all day I laughed! You guys are the sweetest couple! I know your video will always make me smile. Bless your family!
I am loving this series !!!!!! It looks AMAZING you guys!!!!!!!
Friend that had her own custom drapery business, built a huge table it was about 110" x 110" easily fit fabric for king quilt. She and I are roughly same height at 5'6" and she custom built it so no bending. It was upholstered for ironing and half for cutting and under was all kinds of storage. It was a pleasure and joy to work on.
When I was in my 20s I worked for my friends mother's custom drapery shop. Her husband made a padded top with precise lines marked across the white canvas. I hand stitched the top pleated and hand sewed hems. She had irons and bright lights hanging from a metal frame above the tables for pressing wrinkles. She was a great lady. Jeanne Curtis.❤
Oh boy ! I actually ducked my head when you lifted the top plywood planel up. I thought you where going to hit the ceiling fan. Lol 🤟
Hey Laura I left you a phone message!
Oh my goodness.. I about cried when you placed the wreath/sunflower on the door. To see you come full circle of such a blessing. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Now I need one of those sunflower kits.. lol. I know your finished selling them (but a girl can wish). You and your family are my lifeline to crafting/do it your self.
i have them avilable on my site :) www.elysiaenglish.com/products/august-create-with-me-last-chance-order
Watch out your ceiling will be taking off in 4-3-2-1 go!🫣😂 You guys are so funny and creative all in one. Good luck with your projects.
I think this is turning out to be so adorable. Aren't you glad you kept the space as for this use.
I love the studio!
Great looking table, years ago my husband built me a similar table,I used to do a lot of fabric cutting and sewing and like you, I needed something bigger and taller ,then at one point we had a huge kitchen area so we used it as an island and were able to have 8 counter height barstools for our family of 8. We moved since then and kids are all out of the house except one so it sits in my craft studio,it’s probably the hardest working piece of furniture I own,the top is removable which makes it easier to move from place to place, definitely was a labor of love. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I’ve enjoyed mine! I love your videos
The plant looks great
I believe the legs for that beautiful table were repurposed from the wood shed.😊
Keep your eye out for some bar stools for your work table. Mine is great for my craft table. Your studio will be so great when you get everything organized and set up. ❤the sunflower on the door😊
The studio gets cuter every day! So do you and Phil. I always love your banter! The sunflower is perfect right there. You’ve accomplished so much in one week even under not the best circumstances! But you are a tenacious couple and you power through and rise up! ❤❤❤
Great Job on the Craft Table!!! It’s coming along!!😁🤟🏼💕🙏🏼
I think that wood, is from your original log shed you built ❤❤❤❤❤
Phill on the steps was a crack up 😂😂😂
"The one day I'm wearing my hair down..."
"You look beautiful."
Oh, my heart. 🥰 You two are so awesome... and adorable.
I need a "Phillip" down here in Texas! Anybody know one? LOL
You and your husband are the perfect couple. Your sense of humor is just so funny. Enjoy watching you working together.❤️
Sunflower on the door ❤👍
Love the work table too !!!!!
The studio is coming along nicely. The work table is just right.
I painted my porch, and the heavy rain did the same thing to it as to your stain. Really enjoy hearing you guys laugh and tease each other.
God bless you guys 🌻🧡
Loving your studio, it's going to be so amazing!
Glad to see Phillip wearing shoes. Lol
AMAZING JOB Elysia 🎉🎉🎉🎉
When we are at quilting classes we have risers under the table legs to bring the table up to a comfortable height. There is a lot of standing and cutting of material and the back cannot handle a regular table height.
I am absolutely convinced that when those remodel shows bring in the crew it has to be the two of you. The progress is amazing already!!
That table is awesome! That will be a great work bench! 🤟
Love the table Elysia & Philip!Love the size & height. So enjoy each of your projects.❤️
You are so blessed to have such a beautiful family!
How beautiful! I am so happy for you all!!!
Looking good so far you know Elosúa I will close the house all around so no animals go under i can’t wait to see the final restoration of the little house is going to be beautiful! I know!!❤
It is going to be gorgeous! Your sunflowers is stunning on your door!💛🌻💛
Step aerobic 😊
All that matters is that you guys are ok . thank God 😊
I understand exactly what you are doing. I watched my dad do this all the time . He worked construction. He also put on counter tops . He laid floors . I went to work with him all the time. I learned a lot from my dad . I have all my dads tools . Prayers 🙏 and Love 🤟 From Oklahoma
Starting to look so good.
I have to say......i love how your natural hair color is growing. It's very attractive!! 😊
Thank you so much 😀
Little by little it’s getting there looks good already❤
That table is a beast 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💙💕
Hi there ... your studio is looking amazing ... its going to be absolutely amazing by the time you've finished ... the work table is fabulous too ... Great job you guys ... sending much love your way from the UK 🇬🇧 xxx
*Nice, functional table‼️❤️🤟*
So awesome!👏
Love the wreath on the door. I wonder where you will find it, if you will find it, after one of our ‘high winds’. Pretty sure if a huge tree can be uprooted it won’t stand a chance. Anyway you can ‘anchor it’ to the door? It looks so nice
OK more ideas, lol I love living through you.
If you need to be a but higher. How about a padded mat.
It's looking amazing!!🎉❤
Brilliant! Bench height is very important, in my kitchen I put my bench height at 95cm, for the same reason, I did not want to be bending over either, I am 5'9", so the 1950s bench height does not suit me. Great job on the steps, though I think a deck would rock with a verandah over it...but I understand the budget restraints.
I love watching you and Phil working together on these projects! That work table is absolutely amazing, perfect height, I think. I have hung my sunflower on our front door too, I just love it.
Beautiful
You need a DREAM BOX. Pricey, but I bought it and it stores so much. ❤❤❤
what is a dream box?
Jumped on this immediately ❤❤❤
yay thank you so much!
Your studio is coming together so nicely. Great job all of you. And Phil.... I love the boots and shorts look. You two are so down to earth.... I just love it
Wow it is looking so good 😊
Hi Elisya, I love the stain color. JUST my idea, I think the color would look sweet on the upper trim of the studio.
To stabilize the fan, push up on it so you can adjust the rod. That fan has shocks. Pushing up the fan you will be adjusting the rod. Let it the fan down slow. Do this without taken the fan down.
So much fun. You have a wonderful family. They are always there for you.
Love watching your videos ❤
I had a bridal shower to go to, saw your notification right before I went in and felt so bummed I couldn’t stay in my car to watch…apparently I’m quite a fan 😅🥰
Aww made my day thank you! Hahah
Looking GOOD!!!!! 👍
♥️💙💙💙🤟🤟🤟🤟
Very nice
Thanks for sharing.
Good oil based paint for first coat...
I can’t believe that stain . It just disappeared from the step . lol. I don’t know where you find the time to do all these things. I always enjoy watching your family . Just finishing up my sunflower “create with me” . I can’t wait to hang it up . Yours looks great on the studio door. With how windy it gets hereI May have to screw it to my door!
I think I might have to screw mine on as well Cheryl haha
The things that you can create!
Elysia, you work so hard please take the time to pamper yourself or you may someday have burnout. Just a thought.
Your wood may have been wet. I don’t stain my wood for at least 6 months, that way it’s good and dry and will soak in the stain. Good luck.
🎉🎉looks amazing❤
Elysia can an old 75 year old lady give you a complement? You are a beautiful women. Inside and out.
oh how sweet of you thank you so much ❤️🤟
Loveeeee the open hair look❤❤❤
That definitely will save your neck!!!
I am laughing about the Canadians complaining about it being muggy. 😂😂. Come visit Tennessee in August.
Hi that's totally cool work Station way to go .loves ❤❤
Hi guys ❤ thank goodness my prayers answered ❤
Woo hoo. Yay ❤🎉
Looking good!
Fantastic work table. I wish I had that amount of reperposed timber I could make all my bookcases shelves and desk lol. Such a shame about the steps😢 Stay safe🤗🇬🇧
I think the platform steps should be black like the building like the inspiration picture. You could introduce the stain on uprights. If you don't want all black on the steps at least do the middle one black. Carol in Halifax
I'm thinking that wood is from your old wood shed.
The hurricane took off north east.
Scrap wood from woodshed?
Love the work bench. So exciting to have a studio. How are your bees??? I asked if the bathroom worked awhile back but u said the other day no water, so I guess I have my answer lol.
yes no bathroom yet, we need to connect the plumbing to the septeic and well. But hey i have a septic and a well so thats a start hahah
@@ElysiaEnglish thats a huge WIN!!! Congratulations on all your success, your all truly deserving..
You need cameras and security at the studio!!
So happy no hurricane for you! Do u like that little third top step? I think Id fall lol Love u guys!
the third step line perfectly with the building its a very natural step in person :)
Wow how am I lucky enough to be 3rd one here yea for me ! Hi Elysia and family !
hi Heidi!😁
You should not need to clear coat a proper stain. I think because this peeled, what you had was a paint, not a stain, and that is why it peeled and didn't soak in. A true stain can be applied with a brush, and then you wipe it back, so that you are left with stained wood, that is protected. You might want to try something different. Shou sugi ban is a Japanese art that involves burning cedar planks, polishing them with wire brushes and sandpaper and sealing them with natural oils. This technique creates a rustic look that also makes the wood more weather and fire resistant. You just char the wood, then sand back the charred wood. I had a friend that had a basic picknick table that he in his spare time, to relax was doing the entire table, it was the first time I had seen or heard of it, and the wood was beautiful. This technique can be used on other kinds of wood, and is beautiful. Just an idea, that you could use with what you have, and get that rustic wood, while improving, hardening and preserving the wood.
Trop bien ..mais vous êtes loin de votre habitation ou près ,,ces sympa d avoir sont atelier bonjour de Paris France
❤❤❤❤
Can you make a lower one for projects you need to sit to do?
Yes I think I will make another soon. I do have tables to have at the studio that I can sit at when I get all set up :)
😊👍👋
Just paint the stairs black too
Is there a problem with the barn build? Or did you just want to this projects done to have a space to work on you boxes? Wondering if the barn will get done before winter rolls in?
There is no problem with the barn. We have reasons why we decide on projects and in what order.
@@ElysiaEnglish good to hear! I mean, I certainly understand why you would want to invest in a space to make growing your boxes business! It seems to be a hit and is an income source for you, so worth the energy. I'm glad to hear there's no snag in the barn build!
If it is treated wood it won't accept stain for a couple of months.
Wood storage
How's your garden doing Elysia?
Your stain may have come off because of the humidity ,
