Kenzie, breaking the pole in the barn and having to help fix it is good for you. When I was a kid , my parents gave me a BB gun . Told me not to be shooting any lite bulbs out. But I shot the barn lites out in the 50 foot barn ceiling. Dad made me climb the extension ladder and replace them. I got over my fear of hieghts fast . And Never did it again. He never yelled at me for any reason. Just made me fix what I broke. Helped me a lot in life . You have great parents that love you kids. Very pretty just like mom. And I can tell you are all great kids. Not very many left in this world. Your blessed growing up on a farm. Might not seem like it now ,but will later in life.

Absolutely beautiful family....Your garden and your lifestyle are the envy of many... I grew up on some much smaller farms that were near their end in this area. You are definitely proof that the American dream is still alive and achievable. You are teaching your kids some priceless lessons that sadly few of our youth have the opportunity to learn today...I guarantee that in 20 years or so your kids will do you proud and continue your legacy of hard work and love. They have yet to learn how lucky they are :-)

3.2k😎 you do have a great channel!!
Organic is a very misunderstood word... And means something different from state to state, country to country... Last I heard in our state, it takes seven years before they'll consider the ground organic.. a neighboring state will certify at three years with soil sampling each year.
Robotic milkers... They seem to be pretty good, those who have them seem to like them. I've heard after some time though, that production has dropped for many... It seems to be the lack of human interaction/touch. Sounds like there's still a few bugs to work out.
    Thanks for the Q&A!!!
Keep up the good work and videos!!

I hauled milk for 11 years. I usually loaded in SW Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles. Usually delivered it to big plants in the southeastern U.S.

I know how stressful it can be and how much hard work goes into what your family is doing. But I can tell that you all love what you’re doing. And I really respect your husband because he doesn’t let the stress put him in a foul mood and take it out on everyone else like my father did, and he really enjoys what he’s doing and working with his family every day. I’m guessing being a Christian has a lot to do with it. You all are truly blessed keep doing what you’re doing and I will be impatiently waiting for your next video

I've worked a dairy farm in N.c. we milked around 110 head, 8 at the time. It was a small operation and a lot of fun, most of the time. I always wondered how the business side of it worked. Seemed like the owner always needed more land to stay profitable. The owner had to sell out in I believe around 08. I hope you guys do well at it. It's a joy to still see a family farm. My family used to raise tobacco but had to quit raising that in around 98. Just beef cattle for us right now. Glad yall covered the robotic milkers. I wondered how that would work, in cases of a cow with mastitis or causing it from over milking.

If you don’t think that you 2 look alike, watch the end of this video. YOU DO LOOK ALIKE! I grew up on a dry land wheat, beef farm & ranch in north east Montana, I am working for my cousin and her husband on some of dad & mom’s land. I had to get a knee replacement surgery, so suddenly I was bored, found your videos. Thank you for teaching me about milk herds. When I worked at John Deere in Glasgow Montana, I worked on corn chopper tractors when they did not run. So I knew something about corn chopping.
Thank you for the videos and the learning experience.

Acres of Clay Homestead Oh hello Rhonda, I did boil it on the stove top, maybe 20 minutes. I cooled it then put into the fridge for about 5 days trying to figure out where I wanted to go in preservation. After removing from the freezer and it thawed, I stirred it up like crazy. It was as good as fresh. So for me this is a win. 🦋💜

So I thought that as long as you milked a cow, they will produce milk. Like constant care of a calf. Is this not true? Do they have to have a calf on a regular basis to produce milk? Also, My store is ripping me off if you are only getting $17 per 100 gallons! You should be making 3x that much. Thank you to the hard working families that feed and supply our food and milk.

It might seem "farmy" but a lot of people would like to see your approach to , say for instance. putting up the corn silage, packing covering etc. You can always speed up a lot of that, just give the idea of how you do it. I think you guys are very interesting, not re-inventing the wheel, but making it work for your particular circumstance. And I, too, am amazed how many machines it takes. Since you've been doing the farm for a while, it's become second nature to you. But for us who left the farm so long ago, it's all terrific!
