I have type 1 diabetes, and I just ran out of insulin and I can't afford it. I understand what happens when blood sugar rises, so I am not going to consume carbs or sugars unless my blood sugar is low. Do you know how likely I would be to go into ketoacidosis?

Hey Claudia Gonzalez! Great question, it is super important to monitor potassium levels because they can fluctuate when you are correcting blood sugar levels with DKA. If potassium levels fall outside of normal limits then yes you might give KCL. Hope that helps to clarify it!
