you're amazing. I've read my Ati and my book from my class and I got the same info the one given by you. Yes, second semester is rough, especially with all those classes together....super busy to say the least. I bet you are ready for spring break already lol. Thank you again for watching my videos and for taking the time to leave this comment.
I just found your videos and I'm two courses away from graduation. Where were you since nursing 101!!! Lol. You make things very simple and easy to understand. Thank you :)

Thank you soo much for taking your time and helping us all understanding Nursing more. I was wondering if you could make a video on insulin pen and how to administrate it please. thank you again.
Thank you for all Your videos. They are so good and easy to understand. I'm having some issues with peritoneal dialysis. I would appreciate for you to make one. Thank you again for all you do for us.
You're very welcome :) Thank you for taking the time to watch my videos and I'm glad you find them easy to understand. I will add your video request to my future video list. Thanks again for your feedback.
You're very welcome :) I will be doing a cardiovascular series within the next couple of weeks after I'm done with the endocrine system. Then hopefully COPD so stay tuned for that :) Thanks for watching my videos...I appreciate it so much!
Thank you so much, this was a great review for me. hope you keep these up, there is a lot of great information here and I'm sure it took a lot of work to amalgamate all of it into one short presentation. I know I don't have the patients to do that.
hi, do you have any diabetes mellitus lecture videos not just nclex reviews. if so where? and you make the best videos for us to understand the material
Hello :) Yes, I have a lecture on DM (there is a part 1 and 2). You can access them here: ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=registered+nurse+rn+diabetes+mellitus It a great review for people who want to learn about diabetes because I cover the pathophysiology and treatment but it is also great for nursing students for the NCLEX exam.
spent the past hour trying to figure our why the liver produces glucose in DKA, you answered my question in less than 3 minutes. WISH I FOUND YOU SOONER BUT I COULD LITERALLY MARRY YOU RN. thank you thank you thank you soooo much
I'm here because I've been struggling with ketones since I've been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I've been managing everything that enters my mouth, food to the gram and 2.7QT of water per day, and I have not had 250+ or 70- for 5 days. I'm also on a pump so there should never be a lack of insulin. Yet I'm STILL getting ketones in the higher range (high according to my test strips but not to the point of DKA). No starvation, no dehydration, no lack of insulin, no hyperglycemia, no infection, so why? Could anyone please help me with a POSSIBLE explanation? Thanks!
Hi Sarh I love all your vedoes, it's very helpful and I leanded alot from your vidoes. I want to take the nurse school and I don't know where to begin and how to prepar myself, if you can give me any vidoe or books. you are the best teacher Sarha, and thank you for your hard working.
Hello :) Thank you very much for watching my videos. I have many videos where I discuss how to get into nursing school and how to prepare for it. You can access this playlist that contains all those videos and select which ones you would like to watch: ua-cam.com/play/PLQrdx7rRsKfWaoguxszRKAPKPBQEWF0TY.html I also wrote an eBook called "How to Pass Nursing School" which details everything from admission to nursing school to the NCLEX exam: www.smashwords.com/books/view/364488 I hope that helps :) Thank you again for your viewership!
I follow you up from Canada. I wish that there is someone here to explain things so easy like you do. Also, tell us the value of some blood work that are different than in USA. But still: I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! I have a funny story. English is.my second language. When I started to follow you, I always heard: Hey everyone it’s Sarah Registered Nurse “ORIENTAL COM “. It took me a few videos to realized that you say: Registered Nurse RN dot com 🤭🤭🤭.
RegisteredNurseRN the first time I had was March last year I was that poorly I had 4 IVs 2 in each arm the doctor said it is very rare for type 2 to get DKA and was in hospital 3 weeks with BM of 39mmol and Kentones of 5.7 so I was very critical your video has helped me understand what DKA is in more detail thanks so much
Wow, you were very sick! Yes, it is rare for type 2 diabetics to get DKA but it happens just like in your case. I'm glad the video helped you understand it better...thank you for watching it. I hope you never experience it again!
hey Nurse sorry, I forgot your name. I'm currently in LPN school I graduate next may and want to continue right to my BSN and suggestions of good online nursing school. thanks
Hello :) I don't personally know of any right off the top of my head.....I would look locally in your area or surrounding area and pick a school that is good for your budget and make sure it has a good reputation. Here is a video I made on how to get into nursing school (I talk about how to select a good program): ua-cam.com/video/HqSqsP2fU-E/v-deo.html
Thank you for the requests, Michael! I have saved your list and added it to my "to-do list" for future videos. I'm finishing up an endocrine series right now and have to tackle some other video requests. Also, thanks for subscribing :)
Wow, thank you for the kind comment! I'm so very happy my videos are helping you because I remember how rough nursing school was. THANK YOU for the videos! Best wishes in your studies!

Everytime i watch your video, it gives me AHAAA movement. lot of time when i read my sounder it doesn't tell me why?. but your video is helping a lot to understand disease. preparing for NCLEX as a foreign nurse.
Thank you so much, God bless you and your family so much! We appreciate you so much!! All your videos are so helpful! I watch your videos after I read and before going to lecture class. When I am in lecture, everything makes sense because of YOU!! Thank you Nurse Sarah
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this very kind comment. I'm so glad my videos are helping you...I'm very much honored! I wish you the best in your studies! God bless :)
That was an awesome explanation of DKA!I haven't read that part in my book yet and this explanation really helps. I was comparing to what I had in my nursing book, and you were spot on! I was like "whoa, she's right!" Thank you Sarah! this is really going to help me with my finals! Best tutor ever! ^_^ *P.S* I also like how you explained the rationale for the interventions and pharmacological treatments (like why is potassium IV's given, only regular insulin given IV, etc) b/c some of the explanations are not in my book, after you say the rationale, it helps what's in the book make sense, thank you again! *P.S.S* I also like in the beginning how you broke down who the major key players are and what are they doing and what their roles are! That definitely helps me!
Came here for much needed, understandable info on DKA for myself. Boy, are you good at what you do! 5 🌟's Right to the point, very easy to understand and extremely thorough. The best explained video by far, and I've watched a lot. You deserve big-time kudos! 👏👏👌 Thank you again. I'm definitely subscribing! 🙏❤
Thanks for watching the video. The finding out of the two you specified that would have the greatest effect on fluid loss would be a decreased potassium level because of the shifting of fluids due to osmosis which would lead to an increased urinary output. This would lead to hypotension because of all the fluid loss from urination (hence dehydration).
I just wanted to wholeheartedly thank you for all your videos, i used them 3 yrs ago for my LVN program and currently using them for my RN program. Thank you!!!!
My Dearest Nurse Sarah, I want to say thank you for everything! You were part of my Nursing journey as a Student Nurse, and as I prepared to take my NCLEX. I passed NCLEX on Thursday and now I can say I'm officially an RN! 🙏🏼💕🎉 You were truly Heaven sent, and I know I speak for many when I say that we love and appreciate you! 🥹💖🫶🏼
Congratulations on passing! Wow, that is so amazing, and I'm so happy for you. Thank you so much for studying with me, and I hope you have an amazing career in nursing. God bless you!
Your videos has helped me a lot, thank you so much. They are so simple to understand. I'm a nursing student and I am in Nur3, I will have a test next Wednesday on all endocrine sys but for some reason that I still don't understand is that they call this unit Nutrition. At the seminar (lecture) nothing was mentioned on nutrition. It was all about DMI and II, Thyroid, parathyroid, UGI related, DKA, HHNS, pancrea, ulcers, but your videos was way better explained than in class. Again, thank you so much, I have been following you since 2015.
Hello Tina :) Thank you so much for the awesome comment. I really appreciated it! Yeah, I agree with you...why do they call it nutrition?...very funny! I hope you ace your exam Wednesday and thank you very much for using my videos to help you prep. Also, a BIG THANK YOU for being a dedicated viewer...wow that is so awesome you have been following me since 2015 :)
Thank you Sarah for this amazing video, you have literally saved my life. Doing my postgrad in nursing, and I must admit I keep coming back to your videos cause they are the most simplified, useful videos ever! God bless you and your family. Sending all the love and happiness from Australia
You're most welcome, Melissa :) I'm so happy to help! I hope my channel can help you through your nursing journey. Here are all my review lectures: ua-cam.com/play/PLQrdx7rRsKfWwTsEG3KPPQx9rWa8AqMIk.html Every week I upload new videos with free quizzes...so always stay tuned :)
Girl how I wish I had seen your videos earlier when I was doing my course, I would have gotten a distinction...I wish I could borrow your head to write my NClex exams :)...I am loving your videos and love love how well you explain things...God bless you so much for your free quiz as well for some videos on youtube you have to pay to finish watching videos on their page and also do their quiz.but you offer it to us free..you have a kind heart and am supper happy to found you and I have recommend you to my classmates as well...
Thank you for the very awesome comment. I"m so glad you like all the free resources. Regarding your question about HHNS, yes being overweight is a risk factor because it tends to affect patients with type 2 diabetes (remember HHNS occurs in patient with diabetes type 2) and patients with type 2 diabetes tend to be overweight (not all but many of them). BUT being overweight doesn't necessary cause HHNS...it is something that may be present though. I hope that helps. Thank you again for the comment.
Thank you for posting these videos, They are informative and I've learned allot from them. I'm currently using them as prep for the NCLEX and these are my go to... Keep up the good work!
Hello Karen :) I'm so happy you're able to use my videos to help you prep for NCLEX....very awesome! I wish you the absolute best on it when you take it. Also, thank you for your kind words, and for subscribing :) I appreciate it so much!
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Monica :) I actually have some videos on maternity nursing that you can view here: ua-cam.com/play/PLQrdx7rRsKfXiZ3a-IbRaUJXMa8mXyuOL.html I'm always adding new videos every week on various subjects with free review quizzes, so always keep checking back :) THANK YOU for watching my videos!
I found out my Lippincott vSim patient was an 18yr old male, newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetic coming to the ED . I immediately looked in my history to find this video...took notes...went back to do my vSim and made 97% on the first try. You're awesome!!! Thanks :]
Professor shara 🙏, I have been watching ur lecture presentation since I applied to nursing school. They are so much helpful. Do you also have about Lupus?. It would be very helpful if do it one for all of the nursing students. I Just love ur videos.

The best Nursing teacher!
awesome nurse and awesome instructor for all students, you help me alot on my nursing school. thanks
So helpful! Which of the following findings has the greatest effect on fluid loss for DKA?
Hypotension or Decreased serum potassium level
Thanks for watching the video. The finding out of the two you specified that would have the greatest effect on fluid loss would be a decreased potassium level because of the shifting of fluids due to osmosis which would lead to an increased urinary output. This would lead to hypotension because of all the fluid loss from urination (hence dehydration).
I just wanted to wholeheartedly thank you for all your videos, i used them 3 yrs ago for my LVN program and currently using them for my RN program. Thank you!!!!
My Dearest Nurse Sarah,
I want to say thank you for everything!
