Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers.
Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite Soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other Soldier.
Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some.
Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained Soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.
Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.
    Rangers lead the way!

These young boys here will go and live the real Ranger life, and they will go and fight and die as real Army Rangers, THIS IS THE TRUTH OF ARMY RANGERS, THIS IS WHAT MAKES THEM DIFFERENT THEN NAVY SEALS AND UNITS LIKE THEM. there are multiple MOSs' that the 75th accepts, 11b just happens to be the most popular since the 75th is a light infantry unit. To be in the 75th, you must first go to BCT/AIT to qualify in your MOS, then go to Airborne school, then you go to RASP.

Anyone can go to ranger school. But only certain MOS's can apply to RASP. Check the Ranger recruiting page to see who can apply

  • @Crawdaddy275

Ranger School and RASP are two different schools. Let your chain of command know that you wish to attend RASP, however that falls on their decision to send you (solely on job performance and PT scores). Also Regiment is looking for certain soft skills, MP is not one of them but you may have the option in reclassing to Infantry, I would talk to your Schools or Re-Enlistment NCO. I just ETS'd from 2/75, with them for 5 1/2 years, any questions dont be afraid to message me, never quit. RLTW!

same thing here bro, i want to know that too, but if i go to college i will be eligible for a citizenship so i guess it doesnt matter much since i would probably go to college first, plus the younger guys who do special ops selection dont pass with ease like the others do, special operators are normally older and on ranger forums, former rangers say that most 18-20 year olds that attend RASP fail, and normally the ones who pass are in the 22-28 range.

is there a video that shows RASP? like the full 8 weeks and the phases? a documentary like surviving the cut? they do it for ranger school but not RASP i have seen so many videos on the selection for various special operation units. But i cannot find one on RASP, and the reason i ask is because my goal is to become an Army Ranger but the only info i can get is from former rangers on ranger forums but i would like to see a video just to see exactly what its like.

Vincent Mauron what country do you belong to?
after looking at your Instagram,it appears you are a native of New Zealand. may I ask,why not serve your own country ? if you want "elite" look into the new Zealand special air service or NZSAS. modled after (in my and many other's who have been there) the best special operations unit in the world; the British SAS. you'll even get to wear a sandy beret.

i am a u.s resident and from what i have read you cant become a ranger or get a clearence unless you are a citizen? thats one of the reasons im going to college before enlisting, you sure about that? should i see a recruiter for that? should i go threw college even if its residents qualified. also have a question for you about ROTC, i would like to know if you could do ROTC but just for the training and not become an officer, because i want 11x option 40 contract as enlisted. thanks in advance
