Doug is always fascinating to listen too. The amount of knowledge he has is incredible. Yes he has more knowledge than several Doctrates and I think you would be hard pressed to find anybody who knows more about embouchures and mouthpieces on the planet. Thank you Doug Elliott and Houghton Bland for doing this interview. Fascinating!

I live in the UK and Doug has been helping me with chops and MPs for years in the brass band scene for euph and trom. Ive bought and sold on just about every other make of MP until I went with Dougs MPs and he helped me create my own combination. Hes not someone out there to make brass (money), hes a genuine bloke/ musician/ engineer who wants to get it right for you.

I think years ago he spoke of the challenge of having to play a small (12c)? mouthpiece in the Airmen of Note. To blend better with Steinmeyer ? Wish he would have talked about that!
