Just for info purposes...I use ezdrummer on my computer and record the drum track from the headphones out to the line in or guitar in on the BR....seems to work well and ezdrummer is a lot easier as it says in the name...
do you know if it is possible to record the drums yourself? like play the beats with your fingers for the length of the song and record the whole thing? without looping it or using the premade beats that come on the unit. please let me know, thanks!
Hello. I am a 52-year-old singer-songwriter. I challenge overdub for the first time. "It was able to be understood by your explanation" I thank you! I registered your channel Thank you・・・From Japan ... ZERO
I know this is 9 years too late but if anyone can see this.... which would you recommend for a track recorder and drum machine to accompany a Microkorg? The Boss BR600, Boss Micro BR, Zoom PS-04, Korg PXR-4 or Korg D4? All similar price range 2nd hand. Thanks.
Great video! Can you please tell me what kind of Studio Monitors are compatible with the br600? Active or Passive speakers? Also, if I do not go the Studio Monitors route, can you recommend small, portable battery-powered speakers (if active speakers are necessary) so I can be fully remote and record off-grid on a camping trip? I don’t want a power or solar generator. What are my options here?
The machine does not work for real music structure, it sucks, everything on the machine is in 2 bars, so if you want to have an intro, then a 8 bars with a turn around on the 8th bar you cant do it, because the turn around is 2 bars, not 1 bar. So there for the machine is not musical has far has structure of music
Thanks for the demo. It's a real shame they didn't allow the rhythm's to be editable. I just can't work with them most of the time. If I have a part that requires a fill, I'm stuck with the fills available that are pre-programmed. No good if need a specific cymbal to hit at an exact point.
Hey hey, Happy old/new year. There is a solution to that. Boss has a Rythym editor here, www.boss.info/global/products/br-600/downloads/ It works on the BR600 and the BR800 and you basically have a piano-roll-style editor to create custom drum beats. You can also edit the velocity of the hit to add some subtlety and human feel to the beat.
@@DonovanBanks Can you edit the preset rhythm's from the editor? If not, it's just easier for me to use Hydrogen to create the drums, and do it that way.
Going way to fast, and you cant see the face of the display well enough, and the machine is not musically correct most songs are an 8bar intro with 8bar verses, and 4 bar chorus's so the machine is not musical.
Does this item allow for a kind of “vari-speed”? Because I like all my songs to start off slow and then speed up tempo as the song advances. Can it do that? Kind of like a tempo mapping?

Br 600 for sure man after using all of them, the BR sounds the most professional
It is a great unit! Only minus: memory card is a compact flash max. 1GB!
Thanks for the video. Can you show how to create original patterns for a song? thank!
This video is 10 years old
...and yet you were here one week ago.
helpful buddy 3 albums later and finally I dont need to put up with that drummer anymore
dang back then did not know this can be a beat maker to i would think with the pads
To be honest, I preferred the BR600 over the BR800. It felt simpler and the drum patterns could be adjusted on the machine itself

Why are these video with such poor quality ??? We can't even read the screen of the BR-600 !!! And BTW, a good machine indeed....
I'm not sure I understand your question? You can make your own beats that are less than 8 bars if you like. The machine is fine.
@DavinaFaerie you need a bit of an idea about drumming and music structure. using the drum machine is even harder...
can i use a multi track recorder like this one to record myself playing a keyboard ...like how the guitar is being used in this video
Thanks Very Much!!! Very Helpful!!!!!!!!!!👍🤘
@twotimes87 Yip, the line in or any of the other inputs. Line in would be stereo as well.
Thanks. How do you program more than 50 steps in a song?
Thanks! Very helpful, and very cool to provide the worksheet.
Fair dues, it took a while but hallelujah.

I think it did. You can map different tempos and time signatures
@@DonovanBanks I also have the Dr. Rhythm Boss dr880. How does it compare?
very helpful
@Moneyconspiracy damn... :0/ well thanks for letting me know, I was going to buy one, now I'm thinkiing twice about that one...
Is this easy for beginners to use? It looks pretty difficult
