    I love wire guards. Nothing worse than creating a beautiful piece of jewelry then having it break from wear. Thanks Allie

    Love the finishing touch of wire guards. I’ve seen another UA-camr embellish them by stinging 15/0 seed beads between the closed part on top of the loop. It’s an added finishing touch and helps prevents going through the guard too many times. I haven’t tried embellishing the guards like this yet, but do plan to. Never really realized how important they are until watching this tutorial.
    Really appreciate and learning a lot from the Better Beaded series. Thanks!

    I love using wire guards to give my project a more polished look. Now i will experiment using a larger sized wire guard for more the one wire---good idea.

    Good info concerning wire guards-I have used them on both earrings and bracelets--they were included in the purchased kits--and I was pleased with the look and feel of them. Thanks Allie, for the info.

    Thank you for the instruction. I try them sometimes. One clasp I use is the square magnetic clasp on bracelets. My 86 year old mother in law has a hard time clasping other clasps and she loves the square one because one side fits into the other side so they do not pull apart easily so she loses it, but fits together very simply and securely. One problem is that clasp has small holes and I haven't found a wire guard yet that will fit into it. If you have that clasp could you see if you have a size of wire guard that will fit into that clasp hole? If you carry that size wire guard I would love to buy them from you. I do love these instructional videos. I am learning a lot. Thanks. 😊

    I was wondering if the wire guard had to be a certain size depending on the size wire you use....

    Hi Allie. Thank you. I would like to know when to use the different sizes and with what thread or wire.

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  5 років тому

      Hi Francine, we just stock the one size because it can hold two or three strands of thread and one strand of beading wire, which is sufficient for most projects.

    What size wire guard is best with deli as?

  • @savyon4914
    @savyon4914 3 роки тому

    Is this really necessary for very dainty gemstone necklaces (17" 2-3mm) if the wire that is used is 19 strand by beadalon?

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  3 роки тому

      Also 19 strand is not the thickness, it is the bendableness and strength. Most likely she is using .015 in size. It is not necessary it just gives a more polished look at the end.

      @@Potomacbeadco I'm actually using 0.012, wasn't sure if the coating of the wire is easily damaged or not. Thanks
