Kentucky Churchill Downs and Mammoth Cave

On our way to Mammoth Cave National Park we stopped in Louisville to get a photo of the entrance to Churchill Downs, home of the famed Kentucky Derby. The Kentucky Derby and thoroughbred racing have run continuously at the Churchill Downs Racetrack since 1875.
Mammoth Cave National Park, the longest cave system in the world, is located in south-central Kentucky. The park occupies approximately 52,000 acres. The National Park Service offers several cave tours to visitors.
