I see this is a old video and the truck sounds real good.I’m about to order that cam to put in my 6.0 and was wondering if your running stock injectors and fuel pump and some people say you can pull timing at idle and make this cam sound choppy in a 6.0
Apologies for the late reply. I was running stock injectors and fuel pump for this. Camshafts don't really require any change in fueling for LS motors, at least in my experience. My '99 LS1 is running one of the bigger off the shelf cams from GPI and is still stock fuel all the way.
@@martinmotorscoHello I own a Chevrolet express 6.0 LQ4 with 90,000 miles, I live in France in a region where the climate is temperate, I do 6000 miles per year, I drive mainly in the summer, and I tow a 6000 lbs trailer, should I stick to the oil recommended by the manufacturer 5W30 or can I use a 5W40 for example???
Ik these truck are good trucks but I also know these trucks are also dogs did it wake it up a decent amount I have same cam in a 5.3 in a 1500 regular cab and it woke it up
@@cameronedwardson7264 Lot more power from 2500RPM. Being these are a small block, they'll never have the stump pulling power of an 8.1. Mileage has stayed the same so far, this truck is on 33s and has 4.10s front and rear.
Sounds sick
I got this cam in my 5.3 it definitely has some chop to it nothing crazy.
Sounds great! What's the cam specs? I have an 05 escalade 6.0 I'm wanting to cam. Are you on the factory stall?

Did you use stock pushrod lenght ?? Also just curious on what exhaust is back from the ypipe ? Sounds good
Reused stock pushrods. It's full long tubes, custom 3" y pipe to a Flowmaster 50 series ending in a 4" dual wall tip.
Was there a noticeable power increase ? Also how did the mpg change ? Thanks

is it a master flow 50 series or delta flow?
Sounds great! Is it tuned in this video?
It is. Conservative street tune, truck primilary pulls my car trailer.
What’s the idle set at?
Did you have to get it tuned?
@@JaydebJagmohan Yes, tuning is required with any camshaft that is not a stock grind. It will drive like shit if not.
