The sound you create while brushing is so satisfying🤣🤣🤣
Trisha Quinzon asmr maybe? Lol!
Reminds me if Bob Ross kinda
Hallo
I watched this without sound and I find it again relaxing
If I just heard the brushing and no music. Perfect ASMR, for me
John Beckley: *does one splatter of paint on canvas*
Me: I'd buy that
Right!!!
0:06 looks like a finished piece already
that's why i think it's anticlimax. you right
I liked 0:10

My minimalist abstract mind liked it more when you just splashed the paint at the beginning. I like simple things I guess xD
@Rina Quartz... You are actually right 😂😂 I could... But Idk what kind of paint is that haha 😅
@@parkjiminismylight6441 acrylic
They might think of emotions or music 😑
🤔me too????! I was losing focus with the paint over paint over painting of it all 🤔
But then again I'm not a painter🤔
It's not just you..I loved the beginning
That was refreshing thank you, I see so many abstract painters paint a beautiful picture then go over it 3 or 4 times and you don't get to see what's underneath, atleast like this you have a visual of all layers, I thought it was great...
I liked it at at the first stage before the tape came on! It was so grabbing!
Vihan Damaris same!
Me too. It was simply not overdone.
Vihan Damaris hahahahahaah i was looking for this comment
Absolutely. What he did right on the beginning was the nicest. I would've left it like that..
I can only see the abstract before the tape, after this it just another: forget about the meaning, It's art.
John, love watching you create! But you have to do us a favor....and one time....show us your walls and floor! I have to imagine that they are a work of art, all their own! 😀 Keep on inspiring! Would love to shake your hand one day! ~Rich
Hey Rich check this out, John did a tour through his workshop. You can find it here ua-cam.com/video/Y-T3JGdF3rg/v-deo.html
It would be my pleasure ;)
John is awesome!
I have his DVD and his training.
I learned so much from him!
That's a lot of paint. I'm poor.
Me too...
Just get big buckets of primary colours and mix them together... doesn't save time, but it saves money
Edit your “I’m poor” to “but je suis poor” hahahaha
Просто мазня ИМХО
🤣🤣
You know, I agree with most commenters that I read about. John B. tends to piss me off too in the beginning of his work, but tends to calm me down right towards the end of his masterpiece. I did my first abstract canvas a couple weeks ago. Simple yet inviting. I truly enjoy watching Jonh B's videos over any others that show theirs on UA-cam. Over all he's the best and I love his technique and style of performance while he brings together his paintings. Great job John. Keep me, rather keep all of us entertained and awe struck.
Why would you be pissed off at the beginning?
It's just an expression bro. I start off angry with the first splatter of paint I throw onto my canvas and soothe it out into a calming mood.
He has a special technique - it’s called piss the viewer off then reveal the end product
U are so right
The best part is the end.. I love layers
lol agreed
Picasso's early work showed incredible accuracy and skill. Later he did abstract. Today people skip the basics and mastery and just throw paint. Look at Picasso's mother. It's what he was capable of before he started sticking eyes on foreheads etc
Ha ha. Soooo true!!
The more he added, the more he pissed me off. In the end it was actually good
Same. Seriously.
Saaame
He had it if he would have stopped before putting the second set of tape
Jay Ven omg yes
Jay Ven same 🤣
Only one question....what actually is in the mind of artist while making abstract paintings...?
For me I feel like it’s different for everyone. Some might have a clear idea of there vision and go for it. Some might have just an idea and what they want to try and show. And then some just do. And by that I mean they just go at it and let the universe decide how it will look in the end
If u can't painting u cannot doing good abscract painting so they deform reality
It's funny how artist do this. Look at Kobro, zbigniew żupnik, Kupka Pioneer of Abstraction etc. This is good art for ur feelings and emotions.
@@nerpucja1703 id say its more of a going for something and during that do a saves and changes abstract is also that you dont know what you gonna paint. You just go and keep it away from reality
Abstract painting is very complex in reality. First of all, you have to have a very creative mind because you don't copy what exists.
So some may think it's easy because they see the result. But would their minds be able to create that?
Here this painting came out of the artist's mind. That's what's magical and John is a very great artist.
Obviously, as you can see, I’m late to the party. I’m not an artist, but I must say, I love this. Unlike some of the comments, I was actually mesmerized watching you paint. I’ve seen a few of your videos, & have never been disappointed with the end results. You’re an amazing artist.
I'd pull up the tape and I guarantee the whole damn painting would come with it.
God same 😂😂😂😂
same, always
Gotta let it dry and use less sticky tape. This art probably took hom days. If it was oil...weeks.
👍👍👍
Not if you use acrylic paint !! 😃
Just the splatters were cool enough for me 🤷🏻♀️
I love your videos! I think this is my favorite piece of yours by far, keep up the good work! ❤
Thank you ;)
Sounds good in concept but aesthetically it didn't come together in the end for me
maybe that's what it is about
@@s.k.5454 I mean art is subjective and a lot of comments liked it. For me it was just too much going on; it was just a mishmash for me
@@islezeus i like mishmashs because they are exciting and my eyes have never seen this kind of mixture of patterns before. but you're right, art is subjective and that's probably what's so cool about it.
Does anyone ever think: "cmon John don't do that"
And then it turns out amazing and you regret ever doubting him.
WOW! Your signatory style shines through yet again. I love the effect that comb added. You never fail to amaze me
Your passion really shows through on this one John
My new addiction = this channel.
You’re like bob ross to me:)
Bob Ross: oops, oh what the heck let’s add a tree there
Me: NO STOP WHAT ARE YO- oh, ok never mind I like it
@Unknown User That's not the first comment I've seen from you on John's videos!
You can only be a jealous man!
Probably a failure with a shitty life.
Look how many subscribers he has and you?
Once again you're a piece of shit!
@@alecphelps3202 take it easy, tiger. He can think this isn't art as much as you think it is art. Why would you immediately go into attack mode because someone has a differing opinion? Personally this looks cool and all buuuut....my 8 year old could do this. I'm not bustin the artists chops here. He can do whatever he wants, like I said it's kind of cool. It took Bob Ross decades to perfect the techniques used in his paintings. I know I'm trying it now...its hard. I could do this easily first try. It's up to the viewer. But why go ballistic on someone for having an opinion?
@Unknown User John is much better than Bob Ross who paints trees and flowers.
Bob Ross is not an artist, he's a teacher!
@@BoogerlyPlops No, your 8-year-old can't do that!
And neither are you!
Make a movie of your 8-year-old kid and put the video on youtube.
Prove what you're saying!
And without stealing John's or anyone else's ideas!
Otherwise, thank you for keeping quiet!
You make a fool of yourself like all the jealous people who do nothing in their lives but criticize!
The abstract bob ross
I was never fond of any abstract art until I saw you're videos and paintings
Really well done
And the sharp contrast of this piece looks to me like it alludes to the ups and downs of life, with the vibrant colors simbolizing happiness and prosperity and the red yellow and blue splatters symbolizing some kind of tragedy or problem
Just my opinion, but I really like it
As an artist myself, I think your paintings are totally awesome!
@Unknown User You're jealous of John's success, asshole!
Everyone can see it!
@Unknown User Ignorant! Please, educate yourself and go study art.
@Unknown User Another jealous guy who doesn't do anything in his life!
@Unknown User define art !
Gracias por tu generosidad, me devolviste el entusiasmo con tu arte abstracto, con tus colores, con tu compleja simpleza.gracias!!!!
I can’t imagine the amount of tape you go through! I love your videos and paintings!
C'est ce qu'on appelle avoir beaucoup d'audace et surtout de talent . Merci John pour le partage. Joyeux anniversaire à ta fille.
Baguette croissant baguette
This painting is TOTALY AMAZING!!!!!
Thank you Iris ;)
Why?
I loved it. I'm just starting to embrace more abstract painting as I am much more structured coming from a drawing background. I love clean lines but I can't deny how beautiful and freeing this is. I'm going to go more this direction and try and let go of my strict lines lol. Bravo again.
Hello again. Really liked your painting. I actually like just about all of your paintings. Your artisitc layering style depicts to me how emotions, feelings, a person, a concept or even landscape or an object have many layers to them. Both innate and learned behavior. The more layers the more unique and interesting. Am I talking about your paintings or a person ?
Don't take in the negative comments! Makes you wonder about their layers! Hmmmm.
This particular painting had a Modern 1980's vibe feel at the end. Dont worry, That's not a bad thing. The 1980's trend is very happening right now.
Well take care and please keep on!
I enjoy your paintings and your process!
Большое спастбо за ролик. Смотрела с замиранием сердца......🙊 боялась, что клейкая лента оторвется вместе с краской🤗😉👌👍
Absolutely loved this. One of the coolest things I’ve seen. Amazing job.
Je l'aime beaucoup cette créa. Elle a vraiment du " cachet". Une de mes préférées. Bravo John !!!

Whatever you see in your head is whats right with the world dude! Love your art
Oh I was reading some comments, but wow I see the depth you have created. Magnificent! I've been looking for ideas to paint 4 blocks for sons birthday! Yay
I absolutely love it. It's a great idea for painting with kids also... Mine love the add so many colours at once it always ends up as brownish blob art. To let sections dry and then tape them off will help so much thank you.
Wow I have never watched this kind of stuff before, I am truly mesmerized. Love your painting. 😍😍
At the end he didn't know what to throw away and what to keep
😂
Da Vinci se está retorciendo en su tumba
Se debe estar riendo
Bajé a los comentarios para poner justo eso y ya me habías ganado
Éso mismo he pensado yo...
@@elsavalle2311 ponlo otra vez, no te juzgaremos.
🥰 Your work just brings me so much joy! From watching it from start to finish always has me on the edge of my seat wondering what will come next!
Drawing abstract is a great way to get a feeling for the colors and how they work with each other. There's also a lol of different techniques in this painting which helps you figure what works best for you.
It is amazing how hard it really is to do an abstract painting.
Yeah and this guy doesnt do it right
It's like some magician performing. Viewers can get hypnotized! Best part is taping and pealing. Great job,
I love the colors here. Would love to have something like this on my wall.
Side note: is it weird that I liked the first stage of just the splatter? Lol
Thanks to UA-cam I came to your channel. Your work inspires. Glad I clicked on that first recommendation.
Welcome ;)
Bravo 👏👏👏.
Je suis fan de tes peintures John, elles sont toutes sublimes !🤩🤩
Je suis toujours en émerveillement lorsque je te vois peindre. Je ne me lasse pas ! Et ces couleurs splendides 🌈
This gives me a strong Hal's-painting-in -Malcolm-in-the-Middle vibe
Encore une peinture TOP John! Et ces couleurs... Bravo!
When you can't draw anything, try the abstract one !
Not true. Quite the contrary.
@@janeydoe901 Not exactly. Abstract artists might not know how to draw very well or they might but there's so much more to art than drawing, people offen forget that. Good abstract artists need to know about colour, composition, design, etc. They might not know how to draw at all but that doesn't make them any less of an artist and this comes from a someone who knows how to draw well
@@Am3lia77 I couldn't agree more, but there are also abstract artists who started from studying representative drawing composition and color and then foun their way towards abstraction.
@@janeydoe901 Yes, that's true
Felicitaciones!!!

Did you let the paint to get dry in every step?
Yes he did
Leave it to dry after each layer but you should remove the tapes when the last layer is still wet.
Esse cara brinca com as cores de maneira que deixa os quadros dele muito bonitos. E eu não gostava de pintura abstrata, agora passei a gostar.
This is so overwhelmingly beautiful.

Awesome project. This looks so dynamic.
1:33 the sound the paint made when coming out of the tube made me properly giggle
I kept thinking, "No! Stop! You're messing it up!" And then it always turned into "wait actually that looks pretty nice."
People who don’t paint themselves but criticize abstract paintings annoy me so much
Yea you are somewhat right!
But there comes a twist in these type of abstraction shown the video.... Here we as a artist dont capture any scene or story....
These paintings are somewhat mood paintings, as we call it.
But the best part is people who don't paint or know much about that..... Keeps on finding the actual story or theme behind it...... But theres none!!
SHAWEBIT yes that’s true, sometimes bc they don’t paint they see the pieces in different perspectives. I just hate when people criticize people’s work just because it’s not their style or they don’t understand it. Like those comments here telling him that he shouldn’t have done this or that
