    Got it, in order to see a Astral Dragon, you have to collect all the dragonballs and the Dragon will give you a wish spell to use. 2:24

      DUDE. Judge me if you'd like but that is the sole reason I've landed on this video. I'm researching Astral Dragon's because I need a template to use should the party fuck with Shenlong. The way I run it (since a wish can be used to replicate the effects of a 9th level spell, however there are limitations) the "dragonballs" are scattered across my setting and are sought out by many different factions and powerful creatures. Should one gather all 7, an Astral Dragon shifts to your realm and offers you 1 "unrestricted wish " . An example would be "I wish everyone who was killed by BLANK be brought back to life In a new body "
      But unlike Shenlong in the show (who got murdered by Piccolo Daimyo) my shenlong ain't nothin to fuck with. And god forbid that 1% chance goes off and Shenlong goes berserk. No more dragonballs. And a lot of very angry creatures who want revenge on whoever summoned Shenlong last.

      Yes, the nine hells has it's own brand of dragons. Cr 21 if I recall correctly for weakest variety. Can create fire at will without even breathing it. Hellfire. Teleport at will also, it's a bad sonofabitch. The abyss also has dragons. Insane, wild eyed, psycho dragons, filled with madness. Carceri has dragons also, very angry imprisoned dragons. Dragons that would be content to imprison you forever. You do not want any of those outer planar dragons. Chances are if you encounter one, it's because you're on that plane of existence, which means there's a 99% chance you're doomed in the greatest sense of the word. Even the river styx has a dragon, called styx dragons. They literally live in the river styx, a river that kills anything it touches, destroys any material it touches, it's hard to even find undead in the river styx, but those sick styx dragons?? They are in that bitch. One of the very few things that can be found in that river. You don't want it either, the river destroys your very mind, memories, and all. Even if you are an undead. The styx dragon?? It's mind is just fine, and it's going to end you if it finds you. Happily.

    Hey. I really enjoy watching these clips, particularly as I’m only getting back into D&D after a LONG break off. It would be great if you could do a series on the outer planes like bytopia, elysium, limbo, pandemonium and the rest. I enjoyed your lore on Mechanus, and you touched on limbo when talking about the Slaads, but a series on who resides there as in gods and petioners, the planes topography and the rest. Bytopia is a fascinating place as is Sigil, but there’s not a lot on some of the lesser known planes so if you could get yours hands on some lore that we mere mortals can’t and share it with us then that would be great. Thanks 👍

    Time does pass in the Astral Plane, just divide by over 1500 (I forget the actual number, it's been decades). If you Probability Traveled there, you could spend what seems to be an eternity without even needing to take a breath. So, holding your breath for weeks is easy and you never seem to thirst nor get hungry. On the plane, your mind is far accelerated beyond the physical, making time seem to slow. That is because it is a plane of mind and why your intellect determines your speed there. Dragons are far from lazy, despite how often they seem to get caught napping (big monster conserving calories, makes sense). An Astral Dragon would not want to wait a virtual eternity to grow up. A hungry mind of a curious hatchling looking into various other planes as a voyeur gets old fast, even for a super-intelligent hatchling. Life must be lived and growth must be done at some point. On the Astral Plane, it is watching everything in virtual photographs (super slow).
    Sorry for the rant. Former Dungeon Master here (a really good one). I applaud your research and videos. I just subscribed.

Those guys might be open to devoted cam-related playing. As for exclusively, that is not a gaming style most people do. It's like the role-playing version of reading a kid to sleep. These are great and just listening to them gives me tons of ideas for my own campaign. Aside from dragons (Which are absolutely awesone) I think i'd love to see a video of yours on the Shadow plane and the shadar-kai. Or maybe another legendary creature such as the Kraken (and underwater realms). To be honest I like these videos so much I'd be happy with anything. Thanks for making them.

      There's issues with that though, like how to film it (composition wise)
      Plus, require a whole lot of editing, cutting out dead bits and the like. Plus, if something goes wrong, you can't just re-record, as it's not easy to just roll back and redo a section of play.

    • @StarshipMaximus
      @StarshipMaximus 7 років тому +2

      Foxymew Live D&D games are very popular and require little to no editing.

    • @The_Foxymew
      @The_Foxymew 7 років тому +1

      I think that very much depends on the group. On how you play. I haven't seen any live D&D games, so I don't know how different they are from my own game sessions, for example.

    A young adventurer following an Astral Dragon during it's panicked rampage until the powerful beast collapses, helpless. The adventurer, rather than taking glory, or, even revenge for the lives torn apart by this creature, offers them a sacrifice in exchange for a pact. This adventurer will find a way to return this dragon to the astral sea. They need only power, and time.

    10,000 years sounds like a long time (and it is), but humanoids can live longer than that. Elf Druids can theoretically live over 15,000 years and wizards that use the clone spell can listen live theoretically forever. Unearthed Arcana Mystics are immortal and have a half chance of having their soul/mind live on and make a new body when they die.

    I would love to hear something about the deities, how they live and deal with each other. Especially the celestial plane seems to have a lot of that going on. Some interesting questions arise from that. We know that evil deities have games of power between them since they don't really care about others than themselves. But how do good deities solve disputes? Do they go to war? I'd love to get a video on something like that!
