what is the size of those inlets on the meter and the nuts (as well as thread size) that go over the male nipple/swivel (what he was holding in his hand and applying pipe paste. my guess male nipple diam. is 11/4 ? Just curious if Instead of using the nut there is a way somehow to use mip fip fitting ?

General gas companies hook up the meter and perform their own leak test
When the gas company is installing a meter and turning gas on they will do a pressure test.
