I seen the 6 wheel log skidder at Agfest in Tasmania, in my opinion they are the best piece of logging machine I have ever seen, ideal for our hardwood trees which are heavy, and the steel plate is thick, cant see it falling to pieces, and the cab is so nicely made and have ideal views.
another great video. I was by the plant in Woodstock ontario a hand full of times when I was getting my new to me truck. wanted to stop in so bad to see what they were building.
Another great video Tim. This has been another really interesting series. I've never been in any of these machines but that 724's controls looked to be a little awkward. Just the way the operator was holding the joy sticks so low so he could make some contact with the arm rests. I reckon that would cause a lot of arm fatigue after a full day in the saddle. Like I said, I've never even seen inside the cab of one of those, but it just looked uncomfortable to me.
@7:24 and on, Lance is really getting thrown around in the cab of that Tigercat 724G. Amazing they haven't worked up some sort of improved cab suspension or at least seat and control arm suspended together, as seen on agricultural tractors for quite some time.

?? How does the 6x6 skidder work on really step hills and mountains i have a 650 lgp dozer that i use to pull my logs out with and some places i pull as much as a mile with it.
+John S they have those in these machines, notice the straps in the buncher. Very few operators wear the shoulder straps because you have to lean forward so much.

+clint montgomery because it has excavator hydraulics. There's no comparison between the 2. So much more power and the multifunction and blending of controls is unreal. It would be like trying to compare a 1960 model car to a 2016 corvette or Lamborghini.

@cotontop3, the forward and rear facin seat in that skidder is just awesome. Bet that would save a lot of neck and back aches.

well mainly its just them stumps hes running over making do that because we have a buncher just like that and it does real good

Great ride-along in the feller/buncher, does it make any difference which side the boom is on the loader to the operator?

One more ? For u how much does it cost to do a 2000 hour oil service on it all the filters and all oils on it is high like my dozer
