It's amazing there is no inner thigh exercises in the Art of Expressing the Human Body. If there was one person on the planet who must have done some stretches in that area it's Bruce Lee!

I'm surprised that Lee didn't do more dynamic stretching. These are all static stretches. I've strained muscles with static, but never yet with dynamic.

i have a question.....when i start the flexibility i am stiff enough but after a while i i have 2.5 inches to touch the ground(butterfly position) After 30 min or less when i try to do the butterfly again it as i start from zero again...why??

The split on a fence I assume you mean? That's not a 'van Damme thing' if you ask me. Jean did oversplits and even though I demonstrate that in many videos, I purposely didn't do it in this one. It's primarily a flexibility video though.

I sticked to the lower body exercises for this video, but he did do upper body stretches too according to that source.

You mean he did yoga. Breathing during these excersises is the most important thing. Because with breathing you can extend your stretch.

Taking lots of rest. If it doesn't heal within a week go to a doctor or physical therapist to see if you have teared a muscle.
