The only time that progress is made in UK radio is when pirate radio gives the authorities a kick up the backside. It should be remembered that Britain became Great Britain due to entrepreneurs and pioneers in it's proud history, and so it was with radio stations that had the guts and initiative to broadcast to the UK from international waters, despite the sour faced UK politicians who didn't have a clue about modern day radio broadcasting, or indeed, anything else for that matter!
One of the greatest radio stations of all time. Loved listening to this back in the 80's.
one of my favourite radio stations.

Pay no royalties, pillage other peoples material, undercut advertising. Sounds like the history of UA-cam!
Radio Caroline abd Radio Laser were less than a mile apart and in its day also saw Laser Hot Hits 576Khz
Lazer was the best hot rocking hit music station. :-)
A great Radio Station.
Hitmix radio on tune in, 107.5 in staffordshire, is brilliant
I know John Catlett would wish me to thank everyone for all their generous comments.
the pirates are needed today as our radios are now, no more than glorified jukeboxes, presented by robots.
That was freaking great!
Such a shame that after 25 years of broadcasting she got sold for thousand pounds broken up for scrap
