Out in the great wide open
A rebel without a clue
RIP TOM WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE AND REMEMBER YOU DEARLY.
Omg yeah!
Man it’s such a shame he’s gone such an incredible artist.
one of the best song from Tom petty and the heartbreakers
tom loved his fans
This guy and his lyrics was one of the reasons I moved to Los Angeles from Europe when I was 24.
Rebel with a clue
His speaking voice alone was enough💞🌹😇
RIP Dear Tom Petty
and Thank You for all Y gave us
with Your music
see You in the Great Wide Open
One of my favorite songs saving grace!
Dude can really write powerful lyrics. Eesh. Absolute brilliance.
YES, YES, YES!!!! I was in the 4th row and flipped when he played this song! My jam!
This is a great song.
"I know we did it...because there's a record of it." What a perfect line. Tom Petty had it all...talent, personality, great storyteller, tremendous lyricist, outstanding guitar player (and bass guitar as well...he was an awesome bass player, 6 string, 12 string...the guy could play anything with strings on it). He was the very essence of "cool". Look up cool in the dictionary and I'm sure there is a picture of Tom Petty. Such a huge loss to the world of music. How many more great songs were left inside of Tom Petty when we lost him last week? We will never know. But, thanks, Tom for the terrific songs and the terrific memories that you have left behind for us. May Peace be with you as you journey into the great wide open.
AAhh Yep.... Not much more to add to that and yes I am sure he is under cool in the Dictionary
I went to see TP & the Heartbreakers for my 14th birthday this year and it was one of the best concerts that I've ever been to, along with Jackson Browne at age 10, and Elvis Costello at age 13☺️☺️☺️but I'd have to say that TP & the Heartbreakers are my favorite band ever☺️☺️☺️❤️❤️❤️🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘
Your taste of music at such young age is very good, bro
He always looks so astonished at the crowd's reaction :)
My absolute favorite Petty & TH song.
Thanks for the memories Tom. I turned 10 in '94 and got a Petty tape and a walkman for my birthday. I listened to the tape until that tape fell apart. This was always my favorite song of his! I loved them chords!!!
Very cool. Tom petty is one of my top favorites
Love You Tom Petty-Rest In Peace,we are still listening!
My favorite song of Tom Petty!!! A classic!!!

R.i.p.
この曲大好きです。トムペティ❗️
ライブ観たかったよ😃
Majestic...the joy on Tom's face performing this, brought me to tears. He was a brilliant song writer and along with his 'co captain', left a catalogue of wonderful songs. Saw them many times, over 40 years. The last, just a few months before he passed away. Big man, you belong among the Wildflowers...
Love the way he told that little story before the song...miss TP soooooo much. Damn.
I was lucky to be at this show--He and the band were awesome!! Glad I got to see him, a truly great musician!!
My hubby and I were lucky enough to be at this concert. 10th row center! Greatest concert ever!! xoxox
Going to see him this Saturday in his home state of Florida. You rock, Tom!!
I was lucky to have been at this show. So glad he did this song. Rest in Peace Tom!
The title track of the first ever CD I bought! Timeless.

I was at this terrific show. This was my favorite song of theirs! R.I.P. Tom
Saw Petty in the 80's awesome show, they didn't miss a single note, life seems so short these days...\m/\m/
Such a talent, never really appreciated him until he was gone. God bless you Tom.
Love Tom. He was too good.
Brilliant!
Perfection!
Classic Cannabis King everyone else is too young for me.
Great story about Mr. Deep
Every song he put out was good..
"A rebel without a clue"
killer writer Tom is~
Timeless and Truly Excellent...
ME ENCANTA DEMASIADO ESTA CANCIÓN AHHH❤🤩 ¿Alguien más recuerda a Johnny Depp apenas escucha esta canción? Por él conocí esta canción💘😍
What a pairing Mike Campbell and Tom Petty, great songs and tasty leads.
Sweet bass drum.
Saw this tour the sept 28th in Tulsa OK. Just a head ups on the free cd they tell that your supposed to receive as part of your ticket purchase. Most of you will not get that email. You have to contact them. And you will not get a free physical copy of the cd. That was for pre sale only. I had a huge let down with this since I got mine as a gift. The link never worked Ad block disabled anti virus temp disabled and trying 3 browsers. Ended up getting the cd for Xmas since we never received it or the download. The free CD banner with purchase is misleading so save yourself the hassle and by the album.
we bought several tickets BUT only got 1 CD and it was mailed to me. We bought a few fan club memberships...but i dont remember if the physical CD was part of that. Anybody have any input?
genioooo
Am I the only one who always hears "A rebel without a crue" in this song?
my fav tom petty song, I liken it to BeaTles white limit
That's because it was produced by Jeff Lynne.
Love toms introduction to this song 😂
here you go, tom, into the great white open, tell us how it is.
Into the great wide open
Under them skies of blue
Out in the great wide open
A rebel without a clueRIP TOM WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE AND REMEMBER YOU DEARLY.
verry nice musik
amazing vocals
12 string guitars for strumming songs are the best. 👍😎👌
Love the fact that he played Guild guitars such beasts they are
@@nickjames2550 I remember playing a 12 string at a Guitar Center that, for whatever reason, sounded extraordinarily good; it might have been an Ibanez, but I'm not sure. In any case, once I had that experience with a 12 string, it was obvious a 6 string acoustic couldn't compare to a 12 string for strumming songs, in terms of how big and richly beautiful the sound quality was.
I'm looking at scoring a guild d212. I have a guild f30 and a 1964 guild A50 Cordoba acoustic archtop
@David E you can use a 12 string all the time for all basic strumming songs?? Never tried one
@@birk3383 I don't have alot of experience using any twelve string guitar, but considering the experience I have had with twelve string guitars, I believe there's alot of strumming songs you could play with them, if not all.
My God. I knew he was good, but still SLIGHTLY wasted!!!!!! Wow what a man. Now I know why they are callled the HEARTBREAKERS.
TOP MAN, GREAT SONG
Rip #Tompetty
💔
He looks like the shroud of Turin.
+Mike Brady LOL! He does. Must be the second coming.
Life is just great. Sometimes hot. Sometimes not. That's life.
In 2014 Tom Petty Was Talking About The Johnny Depp At Rexall Place At Edmonton .
wow
Hello and please help!
I've been listening to Tom Petty for a long time and I love him very much, but English is not my native language and I'm still learning it. I'm having trouble recognizing English words, and I can't quite understand what Tom Petty said here before the speech. Can anyone help me?
rip tom
Great seats. Makes me sad seeing the date knowing he only had about 3 years to live
which Johnny depp film was it a theme song for
k bouza idiot
MTV Video dude
Who’s Eddie?
This is "all I remember of 1991". Hilarious. Tom was an American original. Irreplaceable.
its so sad seeing him on all those painkillers...
Hip pain is a fucking bitch
Tempo too slow here
You really miss Howie on this one......
Can you fill me in as as to why you made that comment? I saw TP many times before and after H.E. tenure. BTW I'm a Ron Blair fan.
clubdoc one of H.E. Biggest contributions was his harmony with T.P. Which is obviously missing in the chorus as well as I’m pretty sure, at least on other performances I’ve seen they have Howie playing a 6 string, anyway all in all, they seem to be a guy short in this performance. Check out....... I’m tired Joey boy/ into the great wide open, see if hear the difference I heard.
@@jakejakec5977 Tom always appreciated Howie's vocals. Similar to EVH mild appreciation for Michael Anthony? Or Pete's allowance of The Ox to do same? Thanks for your input!
Played my heart out on this one in Hollywood. Bonus original song at the end, would love for you to check it out!
