- In this short documentary, we spoke to four Muslims to understand the kind of political and communal atmosphere that had swept across north India in 1947. They talk about the reasons their families decided to stay back and what compelled their relatives and other Muslims, cutting across different socio-economic backgrounds, to migrate to Pakistan.
Each of their four distinct stories helps us understand the kind of questions that Indian Muslims were grappling with at that time and form a better picture of the changing social and political fabric of India seventy years ago.
At the time of partition my grandfather was preparing to leave for Pakistan from Agra all the Hindus gathered and said u can't leave us like this my grandfather said everywhere is riot going on I don't want any harm and at that time people laid on ground and said just go over our bodies if u didn't trust us and if u trust us stay here we will protect u and everyone if any rioters came to kill u or any other Muslim

When Hindu Mahasabha promulgated the two nation theory, Sir Syed Ahmed khan wasn't even 20. Anyways, just like I oppose Jinnah and the Hindu Mahasabha (Now RSS), I equally oppose Sir Syed Ahmed khan as well, as far as partition is concerned. But what makes him stand out, compared to Hindu Mahasabha and the RSS, is that he was a freedom fighter, while the Hindu Mahasabha had pledged unconditional allegiance to the Britishers, including AB Vajpayee and Savarkar. They were against the independence of my beloved country India.

There is no Justice in India or in the subcontinent because our constitution does not follow human right and in the above comment I have mentioned few aspects of Human Rights, one of the problem is Blasphemy law that punishes people for hurting religious sentiment and that is why today there are people who are killing / lynching people and putting people in jail for hurting religious sentiment. In a secular country there should be no law on hurting religious sentiment and we can not call us secular until we atleast remove that, and we need to learn secularism form country like French, Sweden, China etc.

i also had the chance to ask about partition to my grandparents, they remembered how they chose to say saying this is our land as they are born here and spent all their lives here, they were not ready to leave, but one of my grand aunt left because her husband pressurised her, and she is now in pakistan, we dont have contact with her, my late uncle was the last one to have their contact, its so weird that even in this age of instant contact we still are strangers because they chose to leave. I have only seen a picture of my grand aunt and her daughters with my late uncle when he went to pakistan to visit them and that too is of late 90s when things were better between the two nations.

Meanwhile India mein Nehru and congress party was puppet of British and the congress party till date has all media in their pocket, they use them to do fake news and anti hindu propaganda against modi and rss, this has kept BJP out of power for 65 years . The rss were the ones to go after army to save kashmiri muslims during earth quake, they saved muslims, gave them medication, but pro congress media will not show this. In kerala also rss went to kerala saved muslims and christians, during the floods, but again media will say negative and fake news. did you know RSS is the only ngo in India with a muslim wing, and the muslims of RMM are very nationalistic. But Indian media will not show this, else congress will not win in elections.
But congress uses fake news and propaganda to defame them, congress party uses same strategy as british, divide and rule to keep hindus and muslims divided and in fear. the reality is in India there is lot of harmony between common man, but congress fake media will show fake hindu terrorism by way of fake news and media. I will go as far as to say congress party of India and pakistan army/ ISI are partners in crime along with British and USA left parties. In fact the hindus have been complaining that Modi has only done more for muslims and put more budget money for muslim development. but media will not show these parts as they want to promote only congress party.
Now coming to partition of india and pakistan, the partition of India and pakistan was a fake. the provisional elections in 1946 were rigged. The nwfp voted to join India but nehru ignored them as british were not interested they should join India The British put their own puppets in power in pakistan and India. After the British seen muslims and hindus uniting in 1857, the british decided to employ divide and rule policy. They used . ex-Hindu ancestry Jinnah who was pork eater and alcohol drinker was placed in pakistan, ex-muslim ancestry Nehru was a womanizer and beef eater was placed in India. While Jinnah family business was interest taking and he never went to haj, Nehru was a british man in India, the british called gandhi to england put pressure on him to put nehru as PM of India. Even as congress workers elected sardar patel gandhi asked him to resign from candidature and placed Nehru to the post of PM. Nehru was corrupt from day one. British were not interested in India , they were not bothered even if they got divided into 50 pieces, it was more interested in pakistan due to geographical location. for another 10 years from 1947-1958 british generals were in charge of pakistan army, so the british generals were in charge at the time of 1st war with India. Nehru was told to stop Indian army from pursuing the pakistan army and to take the issue to UN, so that USA and British and congress party, nehru family, Pakistan army/ISI could make money over weapons business. Till date the poor people of pakistan cheated by Pak army/ ISI and the poor people of India cheated by congress party. Now BJP came 1st time they almost did peace with pakistan but they did not trust pervez musharraf and pakistan army. the BJP now with modi, he came to meet sarfaraz nawaz, modi will never do deal with pakistan army, or ISI or with puppet PM. BJP and modi will only do deal with people elected democratic leader of pakistan, So this is the unfortunate situation of both pakistan and India where both nations are looted by USA, British till date. If you check British documents you will see British never gave independence they gave dominion status. Subash chandra bose was removed from congress for seeking independence. In INA army his close aides included who went to Pakistan cause they had no choice , the circumstances were created in this way.
So dont trust what you see in media it is all fake propaganda to keep hindus and muslims scared they are paid puppets of congress and USA. .
The 1947 riots were manufactured by British, the person who started the riots in Nakholi west bengal by burning alive 5000 hindus in factory, his name was gulam sarwar, his family migrated to UK and became members of parliament in UK. The riots spread naturally due to fear of each other. It is human behaviour to attack others to protect ones own self, British used our hatred for each other against us. .British used oue own corrupt people to divide us, exactly as they did to defeat first indian emperor in battle of plassey, using Mir Jaffer the army commander of the Indian ruler.
It is taughtt in history Jinnah wanted to create islamic state for muslims, but this is not correct , if you listen to his first speech after pakistan was formed , in that speech he said he wanted a pakistan for all minorities and muslims, If he wanted to make secular nation then why he separated from India, this is because he did not have choice the british were making all decisions they were to follow only. another point gandhi told jinnah to become PM but Nehru refused, so these two had setting with the british, both jinnah and nehru. churchill was writing private letters to jinnah without any ones knowledge. The muslim league was created by british themselves in 1906 and its charter was loyalty to the british crown.

I dont support jinnah and his idea of two nations, i cant imagine myself agreeing with someone who supports the idea of two nation, what happened was the worst that could happen to the people of india, and till date these politicians are trying to milk out of what happened 70 years ago. But hat doesnt mean we start hating people blindly, there are people across the borders who are like us who want peace, and reply love with love in return, the past cant be changed, but surely we can learn from the past and make sure it is not repeated again. If we want india to reach to the heights of development, unity is the only way to do it. Before the Idea of Pakistan there is no Hatred at all between Hindu's & Muslims I had watched many videos of old age people of both religion's saying that they lived a very normal & peaceful life before.
But after the Idea of a seperate Muslim nation the communities started hating each other.
The Idea was a big mistake which resulted in unnessary hatred, loss of millions of life's, many people become homeless needlessly and many are living in fear till now only because of that idea.

I was watching a recent video of a Hindu shopkeeper in Pakistan few days back. He was without his moustache, his eyebrows, his hairs on head (shaved off). This was done by Pakistan police to humiliate the man for selling the vegetables to the locals on credit(earning interest). Thinking of that man and many many kidnaps, forced conversions, marrying and selling of girls to brothels stories in Pakistan, I feel both communities have suffered and will continue suffering due to hate as i think the partition is still not over. It is ongoing but bit slow as the hate remains. The leaders whether of political parties or religion love building more hate. So, fate of both communities seem to be heading for a catastrophe. It seems just round the corner - a nuclear holocaust. After that whoever will be left from both communities will say that we both are brothers and we don't believe in religion any more. So until then, let's carry on the hate..

There were also Muslims who came to India from Pakistan including the great singers Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan and Muhammad Rafi, writers including Rashid Jahan, Qurratulain Haider, and Ismat Chugtai and more. They chose to live in India because the option either to leave or get converted to Islam was not given to them. Freedom of religion was respected. But this wasn't the case for Sikhs and Hindus migrants from Pakistan Puniab. They either had to leave or accept Islam. Leaving Pakistan Punjab financially ruined them. They had to start life from scratch. Property which was alloted was far less than what they had in Pakistan Punjab.

Media is a very powerful tool. In an hour long interview if they must have spoken 45 min good about India, how they like India, and 15 min about how and why they dont like it here.. the editor must have smartly choosen only what it wants from those 15 mins and happily ignored the rest 45 mins.

I’m friends with many Indian Muslims in UAE. Those who live in South India says that everything is fine nothing to worry being Muslim in South. Similarly, North Indian Muslims says that they have pretty much normal lives like other Indians although some fear in mind is always there. Not because we are being harassed or threaten but we see some incidents on TV or hate speech which may trigger riots or clashes.

During election 1946, Muslim league swept elections from northen india with the promise of a promised land. While Muslim league struggled in the election from present areas in Pakistan. My question is why did they vote in favor of division while they knew that the new state won't include Muslim minority areas of India? Do you know that still we whose parents migrated to Pakistan, are considered as Hindustanis?
Muhajirs were given a lollipop of “riyasat-e-Medina” but alas it was dominated by the punjabis. Mujahirs would have fared better had they stayed in India. It left a vacuum in muslim leadership in north India, and so muslims suffered there. The Muhajirs were considered as “Indian” in Pakistan. So muslims of UP suffered on both sides.
I have met a lot of Muhajirs outside India and i feel connected to them. We still speak the same Lucknawi language, eat the same foods and have the same culture. But I live in my homeland whereas they live far away, disconnected with their identity.

Even in the India there is 25% musalmans lived here without fear. There are many more cities like aurangabad, hyderabad,agra,mujaffarabd. But communal hatred is more in north India due to partition. In south India we are the neighbours of each other and no haterd for each other
I guess many south indian muslims had also voted for partition.
