I love their current lineup as well. It's just that this lineup was the group that got me into Southern Gospel. The lineup they have right now is my favorite group on the road right now.
This lineup was one of the first quartets I had ever heard, next to the 80's Cathedrals. They are one of my favorite lineups ever. I think David, Arthur, Steve, and Eric had the best sound I think any quartet has had. If you watch their "Journey Home" video, it's one of the best live projects I've ever seen. So much power in every song.
I like there sound then when the group change it was hard to except first I love Eric voice but Those guys had to do what they had to do I sure they prayed about it I really love Jeff Chapan voice also and have talk to him many times he has a great heart
its all opinion of course, and i am not a musical sophistacate by any means. i love Rosie Rosell but i'd pay my money to hear Ernie Phillips before any one. i'm a fan of the "open letter" style of singing (open up and let 'er fly, as i once heard the legendary Ed O'neil say.) i just find that Chapman grabs my ear better. its fun to discuss the different groups and great variety of styles within the umbrella of southern gospel, but most importantly all these groups do a wonderful job of ministry.
to me, Chapman is perfect for the Kingdom heirs, even better than Eric Bennet, but Eric Bennet is a perfect blend with the Inman boys and the triumphant quartet. lide when Gerald Wolf left the Cathedrals, Southern Gospel got a new great group but the Cathedrals were not lessened in any way. both Kingdom Heirs and Triumphant Quartet are better for the changes
That’s a good song!
I am a fan of their current lineup

Jeff is my favorite out there as well, but just remember who's won favorite bass the past couple of years!
That was Jeff. Jeff played for many years with them. Him, David, and Eric all left in 03.
