I did the everything and made sure the command was actually saves onto the system and in game it worked but it didn't change anything

Nvm I had to disable v-sync.. I have 144 hz but it maxed around 167 ish

It's the steam FPS counter, if you go into steam settings then in game you can turn it on

just fyi this doesnt work in single player

you need to use devmaps, dont start sp from the main menu, go into the dev console and type the following devmap for the level you want to play, after youve finished the level go back into the console and type the next devmap.
