I had a metallic aubergine daimler vanden plas series 2 back in the 80s but it had the original wheels and hub caps and white wall tyres. I loved that car.

I don't think those wheels were introduced until 1975 on the XJS and later Jaguars. They look superb on that car but as you say its wrong.
