Don’t think you’ll see this comment seeing as you haven’t posted in a long time. I just wanna say I found this channel a couple months ago and these videos are so informative and inspiring! I have always been interested in brewing but these videos have given the extra motivation to try and give it a go this year! Thanks for making these videos and I hope to see u back at it soon!
Thank you! Original gravity was 1.058, so with the final gravity at 1.011, this beer ended up at almost 6.2%. Definitely on the border of pale ale and IPA.
Turned out great! Was a little more bitter than I planned, but I think my hops had maintained higher alpha acids than I expected them to have. I didn’t strain the hops out, but I cold crashed and the trub compacted well.
Hey Peter, I love your videos. I’m planning on doing a hazy ipa or NEIPA next weekend and was wondering if you recommend the dry hopping and pitching the yeast at the same time like you did in this video? Other suggestions for dry hopping Would be greatly appreciated
I haven't. But I'm sure that would cool it faster. But I'm not sure that the risk of infection would be worth it. I feel like something could get pulled into the no longer hot wort. Still faster cooling would be nice!
Haha yes! I once sadly found a bee in my wort, but luckily got it out before end of boil so I didn’t have to worry about sanitation. Poor little bee though.
@@ProstwithPeter I feel you. We have some bottlebrush next to where we brew in the backyard and they come for a dive every now and again. That sweet pool of liquid is just too tempting, I guess. Prost friend!

You’re welcome mdspider!
Great vid man! All about sanitising and don’t fear the foam. What was your OG?

@@ProstwithPeter Nice, solid strength. Are you going to do a vid review of it?
Found your channel today. Thanks for sharing. How long is your typical BIAB brew day?
Thanks for watching! Typical brew day is about four hours including set up and tear down.
How did this turn out? Also, when kegging, did you strain the hop matter out from the dry-hop?
Prost!

Have you ever thought about propping up a box fan to blow air over the cooling wort? That would make it cool a lot faster

Has a bee or any other insect friends ever been drawn to your wort and go for a swim?
Haha yes! I once sadly found a bee in my wort, but luckily got it out before end of boil so I didn’t have to worry about sanitation. Poor little bee though.

Tasting video? How did it turn out?
Turned out great! Maybe a bit more bitter than I had planned, but a nice orange haze.
