Simplified but agreed. With chronic (vs acute) pain focus realistically becomes management and quality of life vs recovery. TBH for me after 25 yrs I learned (the hard way) once I accepted this I felt far better. Not equal to giving up only surrendering to what is as it is in each moment. As pain originates in our brain (as Sukie said) most chronic pain mgt is psychological/emotional. Allow any feelings to come up and thru esp fear (root of anger/frustration). Not to analyze, avoid or control just observe to be aware. Our brain can’t tell diff btw reality and thought so even the bedridden can visualize moving using mult senses. Music linked to joyful or healthier times helps. Not using dx as an identity helps too. Pain is sensation/dysfunction not you. Live, love, laugh. Be kind to yourself. All only suggestions. No shoulds. Do only what feels and works best and right for you. ✌️🌎

It's important to meditate in a way which does not reinforce past or present unpleasant or undesired outcomes.
Meditation & prayer (prayer is simply meditation put to words - which doubles down on the physical outcome of your focus. Sound is extremely power. Words are powerful), to be successful requires focus on the desired, happy, stress-free, pain-free 'state of being' together with all the positive emotions of being in that state.....RIGHT NOW ....in the meditative & prayerful state.
Prayer & meditation that focuses on the current discomfort & asks for future release - as in "please heal me" (asking for a solution from elsewhere) - is what I call doubling down on an unwanted current reality and distancing yourself from your own reality.
In prayer, the reality is God is right with you, inside your thoughts. God does not need words to manifest action in your life.
It's also why chanting or making 'sounds' whilst you are in this state of current health & joy can be more helpful than actual prayer with words. Meditation IS prayer.
It is really easy to slip up with prayer & use a 'future happening' mindset instead of using sound to reinforce - literally change cellular & atomic matter - so that yr prayers ask only for a future happening. In this way you constantly distance yourself from your healing.
Feel the joy, freedom & actions of being happy & healthy IN THE MOMENT.
AND.....IMPORTANT.....suspend or remove from your current focus in meditation & prayer any thoughts of pain, negativity, disbelief in the outcome, inability to act, weakness, etc.
Meditation is the eternal 'timeless' state. When we meditate, we ARE with God (or any state to relate to as being supra-conscious, powerful & creative).
But you need to BE IN IT in the absolute joyful form. Now. As if it is already in place.
To quote a prophet: Then you can literally ".. say to the mountain "Move"....and it will move".
Don't say to the mountain " I would like you to move" , "Please move" or "Please heal me".
These are future states of consciousness & undermine the action/manifestation from your meditation.
God does not disbelieve Him/Her/Itself. When we meditate we align with the "will" of God. The current, NOW, eternal, timeless, omnipotent state of being. If we don't align our self with that, we place ourselves outside of it - in a powerless place.
      Hope this helps.

I have the same problem. One thing after another and I’m disabled, 68, alone, had three falls, and a couple if broken bones that aren’t healing be I have Babesia (Lyme).
This freakin sucks! I’ve been sick for 28 years after I got implants, having been reassured they were safe (saline). I started getting sick a year later, moved to a condo to make it easier, but it had mold from a patched up basement wall. I had no idea how bad mold was!
4 surgeries within 10 months (one was the implant removal). Crazy Infections, and I had to retire from my teaching career.
I probably need x rays from my last fall because I have a house requiring more work than I ever imagined and didn’t know ticks were everywhere here! Aaahhhh!

I couldn't continue with what was a dream job after completely, and unexpectedly, crashing out. This was almost 2 years ago. When I think back I was constantly stressed, mentally and physically, and should have been more conscious of what was happening to me.
Since then I have physically aged way more than the 2 years I have been out of work. Looking at pictures 3 years ago my daughter didn't recognise me.
I was medicated for anxiety, depression, etc.. against my better judgement. I decided to stop with that line of treatment after just 3 months (against my doctors recommendation). After that came the physical problems. Kidney stones, high blood pressure, intestinal infection, hiatal hernia, very high cholesterol and blood fats.
Today I have constant pain in my abdominal area and chest. I wake up every day not rested because the pain won't let me sleep. I smile through most of this but in the back of my mind I worry I might die.
I really am trying to find my way back. Back to who I was 3 years ago. Active, strong, very healthy, and a positive happy person.

I am so sorry my friend...sounds like an excruciating life. Have you been to see someone like a homeopath or acupuncture specialist? They can usually help heal you. I myself suffered a work related RSI injury and couldn't use my right arm for 5 years, due to unbearable pain. Then I went and did accpuncture and after 6 sessions I had full use of my arm again. You should look into it. As for kidney stones from the medication, you should look at dietary changes, and get yourself a good quality probiotics. You might also want to take up medication or a hobby that relaxes you so that you feel.less stressed. For the years I couldn't work due to my injury I just watched movies that made me laugh. Sometimes laughing can heal you a lot. Hope you get better. Fasting be also helps. Look for a Dr Eric Berg on UA-cam. About fasting.

Sorry to hear about your discomfort. I was once chronically stressed and with chronic sciatica pain for decades. I have meditated semi-regularly for 30 years. I noticed at times when i meditated more regularly twice daily, my stress reduced about 90% and my sciatica pain was at a very low level. 6 months ago, i decided to meditate every day twice daily for 30 mins. I now have less stress than anyone i know, and zero sciatica pain. I hope this helps. PS i practice the TM meditation method. 😀 BTW i think this lady, Sukie Baxter, knows what she is talking about.

Thanks for the comment. There is something in what you say that I can relate to and aim for. I haven't given up and do everything I can to help myself. Although I do have bad days where I feel the complete opposite.
You mentioned changes in diet. This was something I could affect and get control of straight away. I just try and eat as I once did, which was twice a day. I have gone down to the weight I once was although this also presents some problems. Due to pain a lot of my weight loss is due to muscle reduction. Still I feel better being lighter rather than heavier.
I have considered acupuncture but as I am not working the financial aspect makes this an impossibility. After the summer it is planned that I begin to try and work again. Having worked all my life this isn't something that would normally worry me but in my current situation I have my concerns.
Thanks again for the moment you took to leave a comment. It warms the heart :)

Do you know anything about levator ani syndrome? I’ve been having spasms in my pelvic floor for 6 years, when I have a spasm I also have a mild panic attack tight chest and fast heart beat. Do you think it could be a sensitive vagus nerve that is keeping the pain going? Because there’s isn’t anything physical wrong with me as I’ve been checked by doctors and had an MRI scan. Thank you for your great videos

      Things to consider:
      1. Have you had any trauma or surgery in that area?
      2. Could it be referred pain? Consult your doc for this
      3. How's your previous while sitting in different environments in your daily routine... There maybe something that's causing an inflammation. Think it over and jot it down.
      4. Do you tense your muscles when you have anxiety? This may be a cause. Might be difficult to determine, but with mindfulness and conscious effort, perhaps you can determine the cause
5... Hmm, these are just on the top of my head. Try these out, relax and understand, evaluate, and visit your doc after

I’ve been suffering with chronic pain for years and have battled a Tramadol addiction only to have to start taking codeine because the pain just got hold again. I do everything possible to relief it naturally I’m a yoga teacher a personal trainer and a nutrition coach. I’m so sick of it. It causes depression, anxiety and a feeling of hopelessness. What am I going to do as this pain increases… ? It’s getting worse and I fell a few days ago and sprained my ankle which triggered my whole body to go into some kind of flare up, even my thumbs hurts! I was crying my eyes out the other day feeling like what am I going to do to try and live with this? I’m 52, I’m healthily I’m active I’m fit but the years stretching ahead seem so ominous as the pain progressively gets worse. I’ve stumbled across your YT channel and you’ve given me something I didn’t have before, hope. I’m going to devour your insights and follow your advice. I’ve started this morning and it had eased a little. I want to learn more. The alternative is years more pain and depression and I just can’t face that. Thank you so much for this hope, this has to work I’m really at my wits end.

Tramadol is not a narcotic so you went from that to codeine? I’m so sorry your hurting. Pain is awful!! I have heard that medication even trains the brain to have pain. I KNOW the struggle. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis and take no meds but geez when I get a flair up it’s awful. But my pain hasn’t progressed in. 13 years and I’m a floor nurse. I do anything natural including telling myself daily that I’m pain free. Meditation, prayer, exercise, diet, positive attitude and affirmations, and being social help me the most. Magnesium, epsom salt (magnesium) baths, cbd, turmeric also

    • @Cehcko
      @Cehcko 2 роки тому

@@yvettegivens7 yes Tramadol then a few years later codeine. But I’ve been taking real cbd oil so nothing taken out of it and after around 3 months my pain is diminished by around 70%! My mood is also so much better, I only take 2 drops per day at night. I’m so sorry you are suffering, I believe whatever is in the food, water, air and also I question all vaccines too we just don’t know. So many people with so many auto immune diseases, cancer, and yet we are supposed to think it’s normal, it’s not normal to be in your 30’s and be in agony. I’m now 52 and this has all been going on for years. I just wonder what the hell the pesticides are doing to us as well as everything else. I wish you well and look into cbd but buy it direct from someone who makes it themselves don’t buy the shop bought stuff it’s worse than useless as are most supplements.

IMPORTANT Q: With much thanks Sukie, for your videos. This is my question: In one of your videos you said something like: doing these exercises should be kept to 5-6 minutes a day or they will have adverse effect. Does that include exercises like use of Peripheral Vision or Seeing Objects Pass By (that I tend to want to use all day long)? Much thanks.

And what do you do if the misogynist doctors in my country just dismiss my excruciating period pain for 20 years which is probably endometriosis as I know from my own online research for the last 7-8 years. Test centres also refuse to do vaginal tests because "I'm not married" as if I would wanna be married in a country where a woman has to sacrifice everything from head to toe to be married
