If anyones having trouble with the controller affecting your PC while you play, try closing out Steam and then use task manager to force it closed if it’s still running in the background. This solved the problem for me! Now I can play without clicking all over my PC :)
@@RBonYTAnd I appreciate you making the video! 💜 Your reply about xbox game bar helped me figure it out after a lot of frustration. I get bad wrist pain from my 3DS so the controller is a game changer.
If you’re using ps4/controller, ds4 works very well, it also has options for the other mainstream controllers, just boot up ds4 and input redirect and you should be good
Good question but sorry I do not know, from what I do though I don’t think you can, and I cannot test it out because I do not have a 3ds xl I only have a OG 3ds
I don’t think this version of the program can do it, but there is one that can! Search for “3DS input redirection extended edition” and it’s the first post. That version adds a settings menu where you can remap your controls. I play on N3DS, but pretty sure if you enable circle pad pro in your game and then remap the c-stick it should work!
i have the input direction connected. if i hit the home button on my input direct it affects my 3ds. But none of my controllers are working. ive tried literallly every type of controller except xbox. do only xbox controllers work?
Pretty much every controller from my knowledge should work, people have commented saying that it has worked on ps4 Xbox and so on, as long as it is a controller and you can connect it to your pc it should work.
@RBonYT ya im not having luck with any of them. The controllers work for games on my computer, so they are connected. I ordered a mayflash magic to see if it helps, but until then im out of luck i guess
Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask for help but whatever. I can't get the input redirection to work and I don't know why! I have done everithing that is needed (open inputredirection on luma on the 3ds, open the input redirection client on pc and input the ip adress) but it just does nothing. The only thing I migh be doing wrong is the fact that the xbox controler is conected via cable insted of bluetooth but I can't connect it to my pc via bluetooth anyway so... (also sorry for bad english)
Hey I think I got it in your text i don’t know if you did it already but did you start input redirection on your 3ds once you got your IP for it to work

Hello, sorry for not responding, for your ps4 controller to work on pc you need the pc to register it as a xbox controller, here is a download link: ds4-windows.com/
The ds4 software is only for ps4 controllers, for switch pro there are some softwares out there for it to work, I cannot provide a link to though right now, but you can probably search up on google and find some Reddit links that could work.
Sorry to hear that, I haven’t had this problem before with it, you said none of the controllers aren’t working, it could be something you have installed like steam for example if you do.
I’ve had that problem and for me it was a easy fix, but it may vary. It’s simple enough though, to fix it you need to close some applications if you have any open, that fixed my problem.
i followed your advice, closed all applications, the input lag remained the same. i tried both my laptop and pc, same issue. anything else i could try?@@RBonYT
Ok so I know you can use a Xbox controller but a ps4 controller won’t work unless you have a 8bitdo or a software to recognize your ps4 controller as a Xbox controller which is simple to do that’s probably why
I mean you computer is running a task that uses up most of its resources so it cause the Bluetooth connection between the 3ds and controller to be delayed

just to note, you dont actually need to blur that ip as it is a local ip and you cant really do anything with it

btw you don't need to hide that IP as it is local and the only people who can access that are the people on your LAN (connected to your wifi)
