It's a bit strange that they show August with obvious signs of body-image issues (more than once), but they never pursue the idea. It's almost like they originally planned to, but ended up short of time & didn't delete the earlier hints.
They were showing signs of that from S1, so yeah, it is surprising that it didn't come to much of anything.
