At first I noticed there was something odd with the first Scat Pack roll race. Then I saw the last race in the video and it made more sense. A good Type R driver would be able to keep up with a stock Scat Pack. R+ mode really makes a difference the throttle response is very aggressive.
A stock ctr isn't gonna keep up with a stock scatpack lol, sure they weigh over 1000 lbs more than a type r but they're also making 200 more hp at the crank. Sure in 3rd gear 60 roll they'll barely start walking away but once you shift to 4th the scatpack starts gapping and pulling away faster. Even if you were the most competent manual driver in the world you are not gonna keep up with a scat, hell even if the type r had an auto dct I would still put my money on the scat. And no I'm not a Mopar fan boy lol, I own a cw '19 fk8

Raced a type R when my manual Gt was stock and pulled buses. You can tell in that last run how he was flying past even with his not so great driving. Type r still a great car just out of its habitat straight line performance.

Thanks for putting this out there bro! I was considering a new Type R and this really seals the deal for me. I plan to modify within the confines of the warranty, aka exhaust, JB4, intake, etc and hopefully will be at least 350whp or so and can really stomp on the majority of cars out there at that point as yours stock is already doing some bullying of its own!

Been working on my FK8 for a year now. Fully necessary 27Won Boost Tubes or full intercooler Piping, RMM, Intercooler and Fuel System upgrade. At the very least the HPFP. From their you can add what you want and the car can handle it. Just a few bolt on's plus a tune and you're going to be out of fuel

Different type of K20, not like the K20A2 or K20z3 or even the K24s.. if those engines had come stock with turbos and 16psi they would had made over 500hp reliably.. I feel older Ks are still the better engines.

1st gen 300zx came single turbo stock. You are thinking of 2nd gen 300zx z32. He likely had an upgraded single turbo as the factory one prob couldnt keep up w the type R
I Drive a bolt on 16 gt raced my friends stock type r they're great in the corners but gearing and top end is the Achilles heel , they hang in with me up till 70-80 but with the 3.31s I got it's a wrap. Nice car it'll be dope when you make more boost!

@@thebuster23 I’ve been driving manuals all my life and never had an issue like this before where I can’t shift it super quickly into 2nd I just have to do a normal shift and then it doesn’t grind all the other gears I can rip through them really quickly.
@@MrScoobieman haha nah I’m being foreal they grind like crazy. I never had that problem in my Rsx and the synchros were cooked and shifted smoother than my Type R. Even catching gears just feels way better in the older transmission imo
Yeah that bottom in delay is in his computer to keep the tires from spinning. The ECM works with a yaw sensor if he were to turn that off you'd be roasted toasted and goodbye gone even.
That 5.0 should've annihilated that Type R on the first pull, dude is sitting at the wheel, lol, his reaction tubes are awful. Not saying that Type R isn't fast, not at all, it just won't hang with a 5 liter.
This is my first vid I've seen from you bro and these are some good runs! I will say though you need to be careful with posting videos of yourself racing. There's been many youtubers the cops have targeted for videos like this and showing your face can get you in some big trouble because its hard to win that in court when the proof of you driving is right there. Really enjoyed the video though man! I recommend getting a pov go pro or a 360 camera outside the car to stay out of trouble even though I really do enjoy seeing this view of the races. Edit - saw your other video on getting the go pro 360 so you're already on it haha

Yes type r is to heavy for the power in drag racing.. But stock GTs are not fast either, older civics with cheap turbo set ups can easily walk them.

@@MrScoobieman haha nah I’m being foreal they grind like crazy. I never had that problem in my Rsx and the synchros were cooked and shifted smoother than my Type R. Even catching gears just feels way better in the older transmission imo

Yeah that bottom in delay is in his computer to keep the tires from spinning. The ECM works with a yaw sensor if he were to turn that off you'd be roasted toasted and goodbye gone even.

That 5.0 should've annihilated that Type R on the first pull, dude is sitting at the wheel, lol, his reaction tubes are awful. Not saying that Type R isn't fast, not at all, it just won't hang with a 5 liter.

This is my first vid I've seen from you bro and these are some good runs! I will say though you need to be careful with posting videos of yourself racing. There's been many youtubers the cops have targeted for videos like this and showing your face can get you in some big trouble because its hard to win that in court when the proof of you driving is right there. Really enjoyed the video though man! I recommend getting a pov go pro or a 360 camera outside the car to stay out of trouble even though I really do enjoy seeing this view of the races. Edit - saw your other video on getting the go pro 360 so you're already on it haha
Haha I’m a barber and have clients that are lawyers, retired cops etc and they said it wouldn’t hold up in court. If they wanted to by now they would have got me. I appreciate the concern tho but yessir I can’t wait to get some more content with the 360. That camera changed the game
