I was once a nurse, then a leukaemia support person and bore witness to lots of regret. Yes I heard many of these regrets on a daily basis.
I got so many lessons and aim to live life mindfully and inspire others to do the same 💭💕

Loved this. To hear Bronnie say that it is important to not work all the time and that we have a right to be happy, spoke to my heart. I needed to hear this right now. I had the privilege to help take care of a beautiful 94 year old woman a few months before she passed, and the conversations we had about life...especially how fast it goes by...are still with me today. Once, near the end, she reached up, cradled my face in her hand and told me I was a wonderful person. That moment still makes me cry and brought me such comfort and validation (after a painful divorce) that I am forever in her debt. Marie TV does the same; it helps me see the potential in life and all the miracles that can be found here. Thank you for these video. They are a lifesaver.

Dear Marie and Bronnie, I am beyond gratefulness for this episode and hearing those words of yours!
Finally I woke up some months ago and just by figuring out how MUCH time I've wasted in my early years (I'm 28) for things and people that were not important at all is really inspiring right now to not remake the same mistakes and eventually to find my one true path in life. Still don't know where I'm going but I have some clues and I'll keep going no matter what! THANK YOU

My biggest insight is that you shouldn't overwork because there are more important things. I have been applying to colleges and overworking in class and just yesterday my dog was nudging me too and sometimes I forget that while I am passionate about designing I can't let it ruin relationships, I never even had a boyfriend before or had very close friends. This is something I need to work on.

I remember hearing a quote when I was young that I have always thought of when I'm struggling with life. I heard Elisabeth Kubler Ross repeat a sentence she heard on the deathbed of someone she was comforting and they said "I wish I had enjoyed it more" - I try to remind myself of this quote (so simple but so powerful) when I find myself forgetting the point of being here. This interview reminded me of how transformational the wisdom of the dying is. Whenever I get the chance, I tell people that sentence & everyone always nods.

I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me. Huge! I struggle with this all the time. I'm overly paranoid and self conscious about how others view me and how they view my actions.

    THANK YOU LADIES
    thank you so much
it reminded me of my aunt who passed away slowly as she was trying to fight cancer!
I learned not to fight with myself , to accept myself 100% and love and honor my path in life.. no matter how hard it is.
    THANK YOU

      Dear Marie
the biggest regret in my life so far is giving up my first baby. I had my first baby in 2013. Back the time, my boyfriend was still in college and my boss just fired me. His family was in debt. My parents pushed me so hard as they said so many discouraged things so I felt so depressed and they were so mad as I got pregnant before marriage. As a result, my parents refused to help me. I decided to give up the baby first but the hard truth is that, I also hurt my partner's feeling which I have regreted til this day......
Had had a job as my parents expected but didn't like it finally I quit. The truth is, sometimes you just need a little bit push.
Everything would turn out to be just fine.

What a powerful video! So getting this book. I felt the same way just recently where I was pushing myself so hard doing what I love that I was starting to feel like I was running on fumes. I usually get only 3 to 4 hours of sleep, then it caught up to me last week. I could not think straight or concentrate on my work. Balance is what I needed. This video reminded me of that. Thank you both for your hard work!

This is the advice I give my own subscribers. Fact is that most will die with regret of things they didn't do versus the things they did that were failures. Failure is far less painful than than the pain of never trying at all. Trust me on this as a former skilled nursing home provider. Everyone in their last days said the same thing--how all they did was pay bills, how they never wrote that book or saw Nepal. I can tell you that I have had massive failures of things attempted that just weren't meant to be. But I have minimal regret because I DID attempt them. And that is the key to having minimal regret in life. Everyone has regrets but they should be small. If you pursue everything you dream about--failure or not you will have a sense of at least giving it a best shot. That's the secret. Hope this helps---Charles

Ladies !!! :) True Ladies you both are Marie and Bronnie !!! Thank you for all of your amazing insight and LOVE !!!!!! IT really is okay to live your life and not apologize for it. Care less what others think. Remain in peace and love and just be !!! Live free and know that everything will be ok and it is the best way to live the way Bronnie has so thoughtfully and insightfully given us by those that have passed before us and have shown us we can light our own path and build our own dreams with or without the approval of others. Blessings to you both. :) Warm Regards xo Linda

Omg love this clip! Thank you so much for putting Urgent watch now in the sub title! :-)
I have never heard of this author but did hear of the book a while ago and now I'm on the hunt to find! :-) Bronnie what a gem! I am in sync with all of her wisdom she shared in this clip, thank you for sharing this interview Marie!! Sharing via facebook now!
The lesson she shared from her patients of urging us all to heed Lesson 1#! Courage to live without fear of others opinions essentially.
This is a lesson I have recently taken the plunge to overcome by leaving my financially secure job recently to pursue my life purpose which takes on the form of many creative avenues incl becoming a published author, which attracted me to this clip of Bronnie even more and that she is yet another amazing wisdom teacher and even better, closer to my side of the world :-).
I had to coach myself literally, to remember I have always done things my own way and against tradition of what the majority do but never anything like leaving a job with no guaranteed income to replace, then to realize - I am great at my job and I love certain aspects but I am not valued here and I have grown all I can - this and a few undesirable incidents that reinforced those feelings & signs already received was my whisper into a louder speech to help me realize, it is now, time to move on...... I received resolution and affirm - I am not my job, I am not what my family thinks I should be and most certainly not what society thinks I should be. (relieved sigh :-) )
I'm still finding my feet on this path, sprinkled with bits of scary spice but overall paved in gold light, optimism and knowing that only good lies before me and I have absolutely no regrets in making that very hard decision and I am sooo Happy to not be in an environment 5 days a week that was not conducive to my creativity and personal and professional joy but I can confirm I take away so much value in lessons learnt and wisdom received to serve me well in my new direction. Bronnie's personal experience shared at her cross roads and saying no without guilt when the need calls for it and write what you know, was absolutely golden for me to tune into today :-).
Thank you again Marie Forleo and Team!! you guys ROCK!!!
Ps - Part of my 1st branching out can be read on the below facebook page I created x

Thank you for this interview. I started watching it at 1:11am after listening to some music. I decided to type in the search Bar How to do good to myself and this came up. It's the answer to all my unresolved questions. I work too hard and I give the world 364 days a year. I think I only take 1 day for myself, my birthday. I really need to slow down or I might just loose myself in regret. Fun Fact my middle name is Marie and I love media. Happy i stopped by this new channel. Let me stop typing I may run out of letters. I needed this, I am from the Caribbean. A place where Creatives are constantly making a space for themselves at the cost of their health and enjoying life. Thank you Marie keep showing up on your TV.

I just watched this video over my lunch and came away so inspired - thank you!
I wish I could have read this book / blog post and seen this video way back in high school, when I was leaving my small town and trying to figure out who I wanted to be in life. I know life is a journey, and that every path I took has led me to where I am now, but I do regret wasting so much time earlier in my life on things and people that weren't important to me. Now that I have a little more clarity, hopefully there is still a long road in front of me! :)

I also feel like you get more and more courageos as you choose what feels right or what you know in your heart to be right. This video reminded me of how "out of alignment" my life used to feel.. Then I made that one choice that I had been wanting to make but was super scared of. The first times is really scary, but for every time you choose what´s right for you, you become more yourself and your life fits you better.. And you become more happy!:D

Oh my goodness! I loved (not liked) this video. It is actually one of the biggest things in my mind, if I will have so many regrets if I were to "die before my time" through some terminal illness. I don't know if I can pick the greatest takeaway point, as they were all helpful.
I watched this in the morning before heading off to work (what a great way to start the day, your/Maria's video), and I thought, wow, can I set aside sixteen minute? Well, it flew by! And I certainly wanted more. Well, that's what the books will be useful for. :) Thank you for informing me/us of this incredible sounding resource.
Oh, I think a good point I picked up that was different, was the sense of collaboration vs. competition; a sense of community.

I wished you talked about the how of the living without regret, in particular how to live a life you want if it means disappointing or upsetting the people close to you, like family etc. Do we have a right to live for ourselves at all, considering suicide is illegal for example. (sorry to be so dark) but I don't understand this really. Regret is so pointless because you beat yourself up about something you can't change. Much better would be to learn to be happy about everything in your life instead.
