YEah, kind of sounds like Joker, or villainy to me... You just assume that's what his B?atman will sound like since he's casted.... He's way too skinny... look at him here... he doesn't seem like ehe bulked up much either... I really hope he did, I don't want skinny Batman... he doesn't look tough at all... I think he could be amazing, just too skinny.. not intimidating, and if we get fast, bruce lee Batman that's not Batman, Batman is bruce lee with arnolds physique/strength, his fighting style should be more of a brawler, throwing grown men out windows, If he can't throw a grown man out a window he's not Batman to me... Pattinson doesn't look that strong... that's a huge problem for me.
I think his performances in Good Time is one of the best of the last decade. He has a subtlty that few actors can manage. It enables the film to pass through him, he's never over the top. It's easy to do emotionally intense roles with lots of screaming and crying but doing what he does is actually very difficult.
I love to see people's love for Pattinson, Twilight did him dirty, he's a great actor and a hilarious human being. If you haven't watched Good Time, you're missing out.
I think Rob did well enough with the insane nothing of a character that was Edward. Like if you just heard secondhand that his character was this dangerous rizzlord that girls in 2008 hyped him up to be, and then you watch his actual performance and his first impressions with Bella is the most autistic-coded conversation in cinematic history (and I can say that because I am autistic and have been guilty of kinda acting like him trying to make new friends in high school), I'd say it's a bad performance. You tell me Robert's playing a guy with crippling social anxiety that happens to have pretty guy privilege? suddenly it's kinda a believable performance.
I'd argue that a good batman can play the joker too, I remember back in the day people said Bale would be more suitable for Joker cause of American Psycho
he's the BEST batman and in the BEST Batman movie, a MASTERPIECE of film! The ENTIRE movie is a 10/10 MASTERPIECE! We have a batman movie where the best character in the film IS Batman/Bruce Wayne! Robert Pattinson is the BEST batman I've seen and he's PHENOMENAL as Batman AND Bruce Wayne entirely while still given him a new stylized look that's FANTASTIC to see! Love this movie to death as it's the BEST batman movie, felt like batman: the animated series BEAUTIFULLY brought to life with it's gorgeous Art Direction and aesthetics! MASTERPIECE of a film throughout!
Honestly we need less the Joker, let other rogues have the spotlight- On another note, I think it'll be amazing seeing him play Brucie Wayne for the sequel.
This is clever and really funny but also made me feel sympathetic towards him, it's obviously an over the top interpretation but this is what he must go through on a daily basis. Imagine not being able to run across to the shop or go for a walk without getting accosted by someone asking for a photo or an autograph, paps snapping you or people just plain gawping at you. Sounds like a nightmare especially for an introvert, I'd hate that. Sounds like the neurotic voices in my head 😂 Fair play to him for being able to laugh about it and poke fun at himself.
Actually, it's even worse. Because Rob really has anxiety. (It seems like it got better with age or he just found better ways to deal with it - but it's still there)
Remember when the Safdie brothers described him as a person with charisma of a wounded veteran? Always looking back just in case someone is following him.

this is when you realize that he can do comedy well... Robert is a great actor, this man is ground gold
Oh yes. Its proven, in the movie DAMSEL
he wrote this....
seriously breaking expectations left and right
you can hear Willem Dafoe in the background shouting
"What's wrong?! Don't ye like me cookin'?!
How could I possibly like the horseshit you fix us for supper?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love that scene! 10 min verbal curse for a 2 second response “ alright... I like your cooking. “ 😂😂
This is brilliant. I just discovered today.
And the fact it is written by Robert himself. Just amazing
Thanks UA-cam 😂 I needed a laugh today

"I knew I was a normal human being" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
this was a cinematic masterpiece
I never realized how awesome Robert was! Knew he was a good actor, never knew he was a weirdo
He is the epitome of adorkable....
Bro what
I have to admit that this is funnier than most of the trash on SNL
Not exactly a high bar to jump over
Funnier than anything Pete Davidson has done, maybe we'll give you that
Oh come on guys!
Im so confused on why this is on GQ lol
@@yyg4632 yeah why is this here?
This is exactly what I thought Rob's inside voice would sound like LOL
He sounds like batman at the beginning 😂😂 LOL!!!
Yeah hahaha!!!
More like the joker 😂
Well at least hamill's or baker's
Batman that was nine months ago
I love Rob and his dark humor ,I don´t care what anyone say his a good actor with more movies outside of twilight ,go to see Good Time .
Francesca DA good time is so friggin good...it’s....a good time 😬 lol
I think his performances in Good Time is one of the best of the last decade. He has a subtlty that few actors can manage. It enables the film to pass through him, he's never over the top. It's easy to do emotionally intense roles with lots of screaming and crying but doing what he does is actually very difficult.
Good time is the f*king masterpiece
@Samuelson baker ...it's written right there in the description that he *did* write this himself. Are you a complete idiot?
Francesca DA I watched it good time is a good movie.
Ngl this was actually a masterpiece
He should have won an Oscar for best short film for this
I know he’s playing Batman now, but he’d make an amazing Joker

Batman who laugh
This is all of us in quarantine.
This feels like a precursor to his monologue in the Batman. Like Rob was still trying to figure out how to play the character
I use to hate this guy but he’s grown on me as an actor he has a lot of range seems like a cool dude
How do u hate someone you don’t know 🤔
If you didn't love Robert Pattinson before, this video will change your mind -he has the most self-depreciating humor 😂❤️
Had to re-watch this after his Most Iconic Character Interview! How did he get the role of Batman and not the joker 😂
Because he is the bat men. How culd bet men be Joker? 0 iq play by u take L
Honestly we need less the Joker, let other rogues have the spotlight-
On another note, I think it'll be amazing seeing him play Brucie Wayne for the sequel.
Well, they are both insane, so it doesn't really matter.
@@elfsieben1450 I guess, but Batmans a lot more sane then the Joker is.
Really, sanity is relative.
@@DilettanteThat True.
matt reeves seen this and really went “this is batman”
I have to say GQ is making some interesting content. I enjoy the variety here. Keep it up.
Robert wrote this, GQ had a different idea :p
(It seems like it got better with age or he just found better ways to deal with it - but it's still there)
Yeah that sucks, but who wouldn’t freak out when they see Robert Pattinson on the streets? Not something u see everyday...
Remember when the Safdie brothers described him as a person with charisma of a wounded veteran? Always looking back just in case someone is following him.
@@sanoxuan6609 yes it is.
@@sereneceline I mean I might turn my head I a way it's not too obvious but I'd just go about my day. He's just a dude like us who acts, cool, moving on.
Wtf did I just watch...
A masterpiece
Robert Pattinson getting a hotdog
@@EmyN YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A love story between an introvert and a hot dog.
Oh look my favorite UA-camr in the wild
The saddest part of this video is that the Papaya King on St. Marks closed shortly after this video was filmed :( RIP will forever be missed
