I never took the time to listen carefully to scott's voice. I'm an Axl fan and a heavy metal singer. today, way drunk as I am right now, I'm listening to Velvet Revolver and Scott's songs! He is incredible! too bad he is gone, and too bad that I didnt listen more carefully to his songs before! such a great voice, such an awesome performer! he is now in Heaven with my other rock/metal hero, Andre Matos, from Angra, and also Dio and Freddie Mercury! They are probably hanging out together, composing and playing the most awesome songs ever
One of the last guys who was a true front man instead of just a singer. Saw him and his side band on the last tour and he was clearly sober that night and just owning it, even in a room with maybe 400 people
Agreed rock is not the same without Scott. You know I can’t think of one living artist right now that had his stage presence and control. Maybe Mick Jagger. He’s like 80 and can still work it lol
What’s sad is that I met Scott Weiland in Asheville a few months before his passing and it was not the same person here. In just a few years, addiction had made him a shell of his former self. It takes these old videos to remember who he really was. Thank you to the people who keep that memory alive by uploading stuff like this
Thank you for the video. This use to be a favorite song of mine from Cheap Trick when I was a kid. SCOTT was really ripping it up, he Gave a really solid performance here. This was awesome... you're awesome... Have a good one. G.K 🙂
Can anyone tell me who the other singer and guitar player are? I know Weiland, Slash, Rick Nielson, Matt Sorum, Chris Chaney, but who are the other two?!??
Too many guitars and too many backing vocals. However, I agree with the other comment, where someone said Scott looked and sounded good here. I think the time with Velevet Revolver brought him back to earth a little. But then post-STP reunion, that's where he really went down hill.
Scott was incredibly talented and a versatile singer. We really miss him and I hope he is still rocking on the other side.
He used to be my favorite singer...then I realized Morrissey is better.
Scott was MAGIC on stage.
Yessss no one like him oh like him and Jim🙏💚
He and Layne Stayley are two i regret I never saw live.
Never saw Prince either…
@@ronaldskropps591
I was fortunate enough to see Scott live once and Prince. Prince was unbelievable. Never say Layne Stanley.
Oh Scott, you were such a creative, brilliant, hot stud. It's so sad the world lost you.
Seen both bands over 20 times!! Rock & Roll!! ♥️😝😝♥️
I love this amazing band the Camp Freddy… such Great musicians and a talent! BM my favorite!

Velvet Revolver was ok STP is where he really shined all those records are incredible.
Weiland was a chameleon singer, able to change tone, style and even range to fit every song he performed.

@@jonathanmacpac very well said.
He duped many singers’ voices. Cobain, Jagger, Bowie, Bing Crosby, Perry Farrell, and more. Uncanny.
Scott and Slash idk why they are perfect combination
Scott Weiland......a true Rock n Roller✊🙏
Matt Sorum killing it !!
Apparently, Sorum is a classically trained musician. So is the STP drummer. (Not the case for all rockers.)
I miss Scott :(
Mr. Weiland
Best Front man Ever !!!
They were all rocking that night especially Scott!!! I miss him rock n roll ain’t the same without him

I go back to this to remind me of good times, a pure performance of Scott Weiland doing what he does best . RIP

Scott..rock music will never be the same without you guys.
Scott is killer!
Scott was incredible
I think these are some of Scott’s best moves ever on stage.
He really upped his choreography game with VR, didn’t he? :) 🕺
Scott looked and sounded great here. Pretty sad to see how far he fell in the years leading up to his death. When he was on his game he was the best.
him and chris cornell i adore so much brilliant song writers
Love VR & Camp Freddy ♥️♥️
I imagined Scott weiland covering this song before I knew he did
One of my favorite covers of all time. Everything about it is perfect 👌🏻
Holy moly. Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick. OH YEAH!
Most excellent performance!!! This is why I love Rock n' Roll, put another dime in the jukebox baby.
Fire 🔥 you are missed

Great band !
Cuanto talento y carisma de Scott. Irremplazable. Lo extraño muchísimo.

Scott Weiland is amazing. He was so talented and so sexy.
He was fabulous here. Sigh. So sad. RIP

Camp Freddy is right. What a fun cover song
Lyrically of course.
Good cover however no one can come close to Robin Zander belting this out. (RIP Scott).
👍👍🔥
The best fuckkk
✌💖😜
Who is the guy in the red tshirt on our left, please?
Matt sorum josssss
I wish the audio was better.
So tired of saying R.I.P. but R.I.P.
Holy supergroup, Batman.
Matt Sorum on drums?
Yep. Chris Chaney on bass.
Yep, this is from when Scott, Slash and Matt were all in Velvet Revolver together.
@@jimmylad7358 wasn't sure. Thanks.
I will never understand how and why ultra talented people ...not just artists, athletes, business owners etc. let their demons take over.
Can anyone tell me who the other singer and guitar player are? I know Weiland, Slash, Rick Nielson, Matt Sorum, Chris Chaney, but who are the other two?!??
I think that’s Billy Morrison and Donovan Leitch who were both members of the covers band Camp Freddy.
@@jimmylad7358 I think you're right. Thank you for the reply.
Hang on! Rick Nielsen is there and he isn't mentioned? Are you kidding me?
Seen Velvet Revolver live, they sounded horrible
way too many guitars 😂
He lost his voice by the time he did this.
This is awful
Too many guitars and too many backing vocals. However, I agree with the other comment, where someone said Scott looked and sounded good here. I think the time with Velevet Revolver brought him back to earth a little. But then post-STP reunion, that's where he really went down hill.
I agree. Scott is flat, there's too much shit going on, the drums are mixed way too high. Clusterfuck
