People hating on this because the game play is very similar to shapez. And i can see that. the timing of this game coming out is pretty unfortunate because shapez 2 came out at basically the same time. Shapez isn't the first one to do a "thing" building factory game. Yes it could have been inspired but the gameplay is still different.
as a person that played Shapez and Shapez 2 I'm digging this game. In response to its just a copy? Then don't play any looter shooter other than Hellgate: London. It came out in 2007. Borderlands came out in 2009.
While it does look and play like shapes 2, its different enough to be a really enjoyable game honestly. I booted up the demo and played roughly 11 hours! It also has a FANTASTIC custom model builder, that you can then generate a world containing everything you would need to set up a production chain for your custom build. Genius!
Klemmbausteine! Very important difference. Lego is a trademarked and jealously protected property of The LEGO Group. If they smell anyone daring to use uniform, standardized blocks that can connect they will send their ghoulish lawyers who will hunt you down like hellhounds!
Why do people care that its similar to shapez? like that's a good thing. Pure factory and logistics management. Plus, its very unique with the lego building mechanic. It doesn't make shapez obsolete nor vise versa.
It looks like it's much easier then creating a MaM in Shapez2. Looking to challenge myself in that type of game, and this one looks like a kids version of Shapez 2.
@@SourceSdkCeribrox I actually played the beta soon after I made that comment. Unless it has been updated, you seem to be able to delete the factory once the objective is completed

Copy? Shapez has cutting, stacking and coloring that's it This has machines that need configuration and more interesting processes I played Shapez 1 and when I saw Shapez 2 being same, I was kinda let down But this looks nice, I am interested!
@@snowis4010 It adds more than shapez has, so it is inspired by that, but it is not carbon copy or asset flip at all They have campaign, maps, levels, meta progression While Shapez is one large random map Could you please argue with something more that "copy"?
Today it is almost ridiculously easy to take another game and use AI to strip out logic and code and create and use that to build up something similar.
@@jakubpollak2067 Of course he does not have proof because that's ridiculous. AI gets very confused very fast with larger projects, a game like this is way beyond it's abilities. That said, recreating a game like shapez2 (or a stripped down version at least) would not be overly complex for any studio or talented programmer. You could create a product good enough for early access within a few months, but reaching the same level of polish and performance would take quite a bit of effort and most of all time.
Damn the Shapez 2 modding scene is crazy
Lego and shapez have a baby and this is it

I agree. If a game has a good UI, smooth gameplay, and a different "skin" why hate it?
Man Hellgate London was so good back then, still remember that setting.
@@-JustHuman- It was bugged as hell on launch though :p
@ubif4nch120 not that bad compared to today
Didn't played Hellgate: London, but it looks like Doom`s copy, slightly retextured)
But Borderlads has its own vibe, its style and story)
Shapez-like has become a genre and that's ok
Shapez is just a Factorio-like.

I see a red brick and want it painted black. The Rolling Stones playing Block Factory
2024 is the year of the factory game. I do not have time for all of these!!!
I love Lego and I have to say that "glueing" and "sloping" bricks is morally wrong and overall disgusting.

For some reason, this just makes me want to play Zachtronics' Infinifactory.
Delicious food pellets.
This game looks fun AF. I already see how dificult task could be in late game.

I really hate that the bluebird is an illegal build; the beak is glued on, there are no studs holding it. 😐
It has a lot in common with Shapez 2 or Beltomatic.
i saved it to my wishlist
Please, the beak is one piece because it is one beak... The feet are two pieces because there are two feet. 🙄 Lego is low poly, not crap. :p
:D That was funny moment)
Wishlisted it quickly AF
is it possible to delete the factory once the objective is complete, or do you need a constant stream of finished products?

@@devilofether6185 technically yes, but if you are going for the stars, they will go away once you cut off production.
A mindblowing idea for a game :o
Is there a way to unlock islands that cost 5 bricks? Or its really "end of demo" :(
oooo this has big potential.
Looks cool - but SO much like Shapez 2 that I almost can't believe it . . .
genious
i like lego
Oh cool. Base on other game... XD!
Shapez 3
Its more like Shapez 1.5
Especially with that uncomfortable controls, which wasn't explained in tutorial
But game still cool.
