RC-135W Rivet Joint is a dedicated electronic surveillance aircraft that can be employed in all theatres on strategic and tactical missions. Its sensors ‘soak up’ electronic emissions from communications, radar and other systems.
That is one of the two most expensive, and heaviest aircraft in the RAF inventory. They have 2 of them. Being the most expensive, and newest, is probably why one participated in the flyover in London of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebration.
Good vid, thanks for posting. Something for me to share with ADSB'ers who see them being refuelled by USAF KC-135 tankers, out of RAF Mildenhall, before heading out on their missions. Presumably the British Government will at some point invest in flying boom refuelling so the RAF/RN can have their F-35s, P-8s and C-17s refuelled using British-owned aircraft.
This week at least 60 Russians killed in one location via himars strike, I wonder how they knew that the Russians were in that one location maybe aircraft like this helped with that?
Not sure, I'm guessing another aircraft that can fly higher or satellite would do that. These seem to sniff around the borders around Kaliningrad, Baltic, Finland, Arctic circle or Romanian border

Nice capture.
Great Aircraft, well captured video
This one (ZZ666) flew over my town this week on the Brize Norton path back up to Waddington. I think this isn't long back from America for upgrades?

3 of them actually. 664, 665 and 666 (!)
Certainly NOT a new 707 airframe,
It's probably heavy due to the weight of copper cables on board?

So they got rid of their E3A AWACS Sentries and bought an even older KC135 to convert? Am I missing something? (probably)
Where has the Vulcan gone? 🤨
It’s having a fresh repaint and clean up. Should be back on show this year

it looks like Boeing 707
This is a modified Boeing 707 that got its engines replaced and that nose is probably a radar system
