This song has the most emotional breakdown ever. Those vocals harmonies... It makes me cry every single fucking time!
First half is about a girl wants to begin a new era & run from her past, second half of the song introduces a darker perspective, he’s telling her that whatever she’s running from will catch up to her, no matter where she goes, GENIUS 🌚
The drop into Bad Vibrations is second to none.

This is the song that made me fall in love with this band. The combination of their voices in this just make it for me. It gets dissonant sometimes and that in combination with the great song writing makes it unique and original in my opinion. I like Suburbs alot, but I hope they do not abandon this direction entirely.

The part at 01:52 is one of the best musical transitions I've ever heard. The first half creates a great contrast to the second half's graveness.
I love the drum part in Black Wave. I also love the violin and viola part at the begining. One of my favorite songs off of my favorite Arcade Fire album!

@bennyuk55 - I do agree - As amazing as they are in 2010/2011 .... I missed the horn section, which adds a whole layer of depth and texture to their sound ..... Dont get me wrong: I saw them and I was blown away ... But it would have been even better to have those horns in certain songs ....

@redifreddy14 Why does everyone always want to compare every female musician to Kate Bush? She is not trying to be Kate Bush and neither is Florence and the Machine or any other current artists. The day she says "My work is the best since Kate Bush" then you can spout off until then try to appreciate Arcade Fire for what they are. Which is something COMPLETELY different. Not better, different. Apparently no one should ever try to write an album unless they're better than Kate Bush!

If she opens her mouth and even a vaguely melodic sound comes out if then she's singing. Technically, Regine is never going to win any prizes and that's putting it mildly. But she sings from the heart and that's what counts.
