This was great. I liked your tips and demo of the finished product. I wonder what the science is behind why it could only record one note at a time. It would be fun to watch you hack some of these products to improve or change them in some way. I appreciate your videos and will use your discount. Looks like a fun little project!
The one note polyphony is a limitation of the pre-installed IC. I will see what I can do to hack this bad boy... BTW, your comment was pinned! Very thoughtful, thank you.
This is a really cool project I have never heard of VOGURTIME before this video. When my skills get better I'm definitely gonna look into this piano soldering project kit. Great video!
@@Joeteck hi J... ' that good kit... i have a electronic piano kit and can work with 6 volts and loud speakers with LEDs in my video channel... ' ua-cam.com/video/DisszudZssg/v-deo.html ' ua-cam.com/video/0MvXlZYuLjY/v-deo.html
I got one of these as a baby's first soldering kit and in the end the battery case was missing a spring, so, didnt get to test it out. Really annoyed about that.
Hey man! No idea if you’re still active or getting notifications from comments here, but I’ll try my luck anyways since this one is giving me trouble… I’m a beginner at soldering, but I’ve done a few DIY kits like this and consider myself alright at it now. I tried doing this piano, though, and I thought everything was fine until I tried turning it on. No dice, at all! Not even the LED. I have NO idea what’s wrong with it, so I tried lookin up a tutorial to see if they’d do anything different. Now, I’m looking at my piano, and I realize the black and red buttons are switched! The display image on the instructions has the red buttons in the middle, with the black on top… what a scam 😅 Whatever the case, I’m not sure if it’d actually have an impact, as they’re both just buttons. So, do you think that’s why my piano’s not working? Or is that not an issue, and something else is the problem? Any advice you can give me helps… I just wanna play my little piano 😭
A funny thing happened with mine. I got all done and put in the batteries and nothing. Flipped it over and the audio amplifier chip was missing! It was not soldered in place at factory. The other chip was there. I bet I can find one….

You could probably do it now I bet!
Thank you for sharing! What are the possibilities of installing a 3.5mm input/output for external audio usage?
How do the two chips work? I can't find a description anywhere honestly

I built this and the on off button won’t click down, has to be held on to power the piano, any ideas?
Broken button?
@@Joeteck yes, it clicks, doesn’t stay on, only when pressed down. Broken button.

Can you send me a picture or two
Joetecktips@gmail.com
@@Joeteck Oh, absolutely! Thanks so much! I’ll send it in a couple minutes :)
I got it to turn on but only once. Then I realized I forgot the R9 Resistor. Is thier anyway to fix this?
Yeah, add the r9 resistor..

Wow, that in unfortunate.. that component is much more difficult to solder on.
couldn't you replace 0 ohn resistors with a wire link?
Mine doens’t work
That's stinks.. sorry
