I'm 58 years old and an ex professional driver. My driving style has changed in the last 10 years & I wouldn't go anywhere near the autobahn. The thought of a driver with just a regular driving licence being allowed to drive at 200 mph absolutely terrifies me. They were not looking. It mostly happens when there is a road merging onto the autobahn. I always have my foot on the break when there is more than 1 car on the right lane following each other. You need to calculate with the stupidity. Also breaks are so important. The better the brakes the safer it is to drive fast. Porsche 911 Turbo S is a sublime car for the Autobahn. crashes on the autobahn are very very unlikely because German drivers are very good at driving, due to higher speeds of course crashes will be more fatal, but usually crashes on the Autobahn are rare
