Oooh miriam mentioned a curious beginning!! Adds to TBR!
Just love that backdrop!
I love the copy you have of Wuthering Heights
Love the character outline for Wuthering Heights.
I love the Tenant of Wildfell
I love hearing you describe books and their plots! You make them all sound so interesting! If I ever read Wuthering Heights, I’ll be begging for a picture of the family tree you made 😁😉💕
I LOVE A CHRISTMAS CAROL!!! ❤️❤️❤️
That intro!!!! 😍😍
Yes girl!!! Gimme all the recs!!! 👏👏👏
Just discovered your channel and all these recs!! chef's kiss!! I totally agree with you when it comes to Mina's character in Dracula !! she's so cool.
Hey! Thanks so much for watching! 🥰
I got my pen and paper out!
Time to add some classic to the tbr🖊️📃
😂😂😂
Some great recs! I have yet to read The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and I hear so many great things about it.
Oh, I also got Lady Audley’s Secret! So excited!😊

HEYYY GIRL HEYYY
Yasss Sherlock I need to get to it
Bruh not me having Sherlock Holmes and the Christmas Carol!!
I am shocked I own even one of the books on here! I think you are rubbing off on me 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Loved this video Miriam!
So many good recommendations and I hope to pick them up soon!!
Thanks so much Skye ❤️
I love Elizabeth Peters writing. She uses big words and is very intellectual in her approach. It reminds me of the show Frasier. I really enjoy books that don’t assume I’m an illiterate idiot. Bigger and more archaic the words the better!
Agreed! Love love love her writing!
-Love, love, love, Wuthering Heights!
-I've just started Dracula, but I'm really enjoying it so far.
-A Curious Beginning, Things in Jars, and Crocodile on the Sandbank are all on my "Need to Acquire Soon" list. My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary yesterday, and my birthday is in 4 days..... I am itching so bad to break my (self imposed) book buying ban! Though in all transparency I find of already did😲. My husband and I went to Eureka Springs - a beautiful Victorian town nestled in the Ozark Mountains - to celebrate our anniversary, and there is the cutest little bookshop downtown I couldn't help myself. I have no shelf-control 😂.
Aw Happy Anniversary!!! So sweet! Happy early birthday as well 🤩 This is the best time of year to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, etc 😄😄😄 Haha just the thought of a book-buying ban makes me nauseous 🤣🤣🤣 probably not a good thing 😂 I had to look up pictures of Eureka Springs, wow!! Picture-perfect!!!
@@miriamelizabethreads Yeah... It's pretty much my favorite place ever😍. If you ever have the chance to visit I highly recommend it.
@@miriamelizabethreads and Thank you!
Marian Halcombe!! Yes!! I found her to be one of the strongest characters and she made the book such a favorite.
Have you read The Picture of Dorian Gray? It has all of those gothic elements like Wuthering Heights and Dracula.
I guess I need to pick up A Curious Beginning soon!
I recently read Dorian Grey and really enjoyed it!!
I always love watching your reviews you do such a great job!! So many of those books sound good🥰I definitely need to read more classics.
Thank you so much Kimberly! 🤗🤗🤗
Awesome video :)) ahhh..tbr tbr tbr tbr. I have my eye on Woman in White available in the library. Cant wait to grabbit . That's if I dont get distracted by the Jane Austen shelf. I love my Sunday problems
🤣🤣🤣 these aren’t great “problems” to have 😂 the woman in white is so good!
Not me thinking to myself for the MILLIONTH time "I need to read more classics" 😂👏🏻 Dracula is so high on my list of classics to get to though!!
HAHA that's how I feel about cozy mysteries 😂😂😂 I finished Apple Cider Slaying so there's one 🤣 I ADORED it btw!
Great video! Love your edition of Dracula 😊...well watching the video I realised I love all the book covers here 😂 just reading Woman in White, excited to read it whole!
Yay! The woman in white is so good!
Great recs girl!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Not you making a family tree 💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
Love the intro!
Very fun list! I didn’t realize Dracula is a Victorian classic. It is on my TBR for this month, and I am so excited to pick it up
I really want to get A Curious Beginning! Sounds so good! And that cover 😍😍
I bought Dracula, The Woman in White and The Curious Beginning today. I can’t wait to get them. I got God Will Never Fail You. I read probably half. I may finish it sometime but it seemed like a compilation of various meetings where he was asked to preach. Going here and yon with a sprinkle of his physical needs met or encounters with various heretics. I don’t know it was repetitive. 🤷♀️
It’s been so long since I read God Will Not Fail You but yea I remember it being repetitive… I hope you enjoy those other three 😍😍😍😍
I am not sure if I will get to a Victorian classic this month, but I have a few on my shelf that I really want to read. I dont know why, but I prefer to read classics in the fall and winter, so I will still give a few a try over the next few months even if I miss Victober. 😊
Oooo yess fall and winter is the best time to read classics! they can be so cozy and comforting for those seasons
So many great books 🎉🎉 You know wuthering heights is my favourite book but also now love the woman in white. The tenant of wildfell hall is so good and one I want to re read
Yesss I remember you mentioning it’s your favourite classic? It’s so good 😍
Great recommendations!
I need to reread Dracula some day.🧛 A Curious Beginning and Things in Jars sound intriguing!
Ooooo I actually own wuthering heights!
You convinced me to potentially pick that up sooner! Also your character map is stunning 😍😍
I’ll send a picture of it if you want when you read the book!
I am so excited to read Dracula 👏🏽👏🏽🔥
Still gotta read the Brontes 👀👀👀
Your intro! So cute!
Thanks girl!
I can't wait to read wuthering heights! I plan on reading it in November:)
Dracula!!!! 👏👏👏
Early squad 🎉
Nosferatu has scarred me from ever being a vampire lover haha so I will be avoiding dracula but I'm glad other people enjoy it 😅... I did read Jane Eyre for victober so I'm not a total lost cause 😂
Haha! it's so funny I actually haaaaate vampires... I stay away from vampire stories... but for some reason I was completely fine with Dracula! I think it has a lot more substance to it... goes deeper than just a creep factor.
@@miriamelizabethreads that gives me hope haha
I love Classics. I've just started to read Dracula, I do hope it won't be too scary, I don't do those type of books or movies. I love Jane Austin, Louisa May Alcott, L. M. Montgomery and Charles Dickens the most but I do like them all.
I'm definitely a scaredy-cat and can't handle super scary stories, I found Dracula to be completely ok for me! I don't' even like vampires lol.. I think the story goes deeper than just trying to scare people which I really appreciated! I'm curious to hear your thoughts once you've finished it! I love those authors too!! 🤩
I just found out from my son today that when my phone shows a heart or like to my comments that there's also a reply 🤣🙄❤. So far I'm just on ch.3 of Dracula, I can't seem to get the umph to keep reading it, lol. My mind is preoccupied lately to just sit down & finish it. I've tried listening to an audio book of it but nope not my cup of tea (so to speak 😊).
@@traciesandoval2882 haha 😂 oh man… do you feel it’s a reading slump?
Yes, I get into reading slumps a lot lately. I try to stay focused but it's hard at times. I have alot going on, but I know the Lord will help me through it all.
@@traciesandoval2882 I'll be keeping you in my prayers Tracie!
cool video! I haven’t read many Victorian era books, these were interesting!
So, I need to read a classic book, and I wanted something on the shorter side, not to long, something with some adventure, a dash of romance and that was clean. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks! 🤗📚
Hey! Hmmm so I'm not sure about shorter classics with romance, it's funny a lot of romance classics are longer and some of the shorter classics don't always have romance 😂Not sure if you've read any of these but for shorter-ish classics I'd say Around the World in 80 Days (adventure!), Frankenstein, Agnes Grey (has romance)... there's also The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery (great romance)... The Warden by Anthony Trollope is short but not romance-heavy. Frederica by Georgette Heyer is a great romance but on the longer side... and there's also Oscar Wilde's plays, some are light on the romance but they're short and so fun! Sorry I wish I could be more help! 😭 Some classics I haven't ready personally but have heard great things about: First Love by Ivan Turgenev (Russian translated classic, I've heard only incredible things about this very short romance!)... The Lady of the Camellias (written by who I *think* was Alexandre Dumas' son?)... A Sicilian Romance (Ann Radcliffe, short gothic romance)...
Thank you so much for replying!! I will definitely look into these!! 😊
