a good bit of advice if you're going on a date is to remove the potato from your shoes. i've learned that women don't respect that. it's also super hard to walk.

I used the thick socks and hairdryer method and it really worked. I bought a brand new pair of heeled loafers on ebay but they felt really tight, especially around the toes, so much so that I could feel them curling in at the sides - very painful! The loafers are leather lined but the outer lining is a synthetic material and quite stiff so I was worried about using this method and unintentionally ruining them but I ensured the hairdryer (on full heat) was kept about 5cm away from the outer area of the shoe. I used this method about 2-3 times and walked around the house with the socks still on as the shoes cooled down, took the socks off and the shoes fit absolutely perfectly!

To increase shoe size, I found that the following routine is successful: 1. Wet some paper towels; 2. Stuff the paper towels into the shoe(s) in question; 3. Tie the shoes securely in order to increase the freezing pressure; 4. Place the shoe(s) in the freezer over night; 5. Remove the shoes in the morning and allow the towels to defrost; 6. Remove the paper towels;7. Try on the shoe(s); and, finally; 8. Repeat as necessary (which most likely will be the case) until the shoe(s) fits. Freezing causes the water in the paper towels to expand putting great pressure on the inside of the shoe increasing it's size. By tying the shoe, this pressure is increased. I successfully used this technique on a new shoe which I bought which was too small.

I’m super OCD though like do you guys leave your plates on the counter, in the sink or dishwasher after you cook and eat?? Well I have a way nice Bosch dishwasher but mostly hand wash and dry everything right after I’m done eating 🍽 it makes my wife laugh but she never has had to do dishes in 11 years! I forgot about this but I used a hair dryer to loosen my leather heel shoes I bought and they fit like a dream now! I tried something with ice with other shoes but it didn’t do anything. It could be because they have fabric outside the leather so the fabric wouldn’t loosen.

Lika Aprilia Hey Lika: Seriously, if you want to stretch your leather shoes, best way is to go to walmart and buy a shoe stretcher for $9.97. That way you have control over how far they are stretched. Don't overstretch them... do a little at a time, and put some conditioner on them. The ice works for boots - uggs, bearpaws. Good luck! ♥

So when I tried the shoe in the store it was fine and a little too fit but when I tried the size 6, it was too big for my feet because of its width so I bought the size 5. But when I wore it at home, thats when I realize that it is too tiny it terms of length for my feet.... anyway, I just used the heat method with my newly bought leather shoes and it is awesome! thank you so so much!!

I have done the freezer method but.. U want to put a freezer bag inside shoe first. Tilt the shoe upward and then fill half way. Then put shoe upright in your fridge. If u put water in bag first then put in shoe the water will spill out.

These seem like great tips for stretching out the toe area of shoe, but what about the back of the shoe? I've had too many shoes cause bleeding or blistered heels!

Plenty of shoe stretchers in women sizes. Both for flats and high heels. Isn't that a shoe tree you're holding there? Just clarifying. Usually shoe stretchers have handles and knobs.

I have done the water in bag in shoe in freezer method before and somehow the bags LEAKED and ruined my shoes.
