Pansexual is basically the same thing as bi, so I don't count that as being real. Dating based on personality and not gender (pansexuality) is basically the same thing as being bisexual. Besides pansexuality, I honestly can't think of any other sexual orientation that falls under "etc".

I’ve also always dealt with people asking if I was gay. I really really enjoy music (choir and band, all of that), I really care about my hair and about the way I present myself, and I’m pretty touchy with my best friends, so apparently until the middle of high school, people thought I was gay. I agree SO MUCH. One side of my family is really against being gay, breaking gender roles, etc and I've never been able to understand why.. It's not like it even affects them in any way. The reason he did not directly answer the question, even though he did say that he was heterosexual inadvertantly, is: How many male UA-camrs have been accused of being a homosexual? I literally do not know a single one who hasn't. Every time I type in a UA-camr's name that is always the first thing that pops up "Is *insert name here* gay?" People are so obsessed with famous peoples' sexual orientations, and think that every male who exhibits any form of femininity (which all men do) must not be a homosexual. The reason he gave this long explanation, rather than saying yes or no is because of this: It would not have lowered the amount of idiots claiming he is a homosexual or asking him if he is a homosexual, because they would continue going with the fact he has some feminine qualities (which is not abnormal at all) and they would continuously say, "He is just in the closet" as a response to his claims of heterosexuality. If he gets a girlfriend, they still would be making idiotic claims saying she is just his cover up. It would not stop idiots from barking at the same tree. This video was little about his sexual orientation and more geared towards telling people to be true to themselves and not care what other people think.

Fucking hell. This video needs to be seen by every damn adult I've ever known. My entire family (especially extended) has always thought I was gay because I 1. Liked Superheroes more than Princesses and 2. Never talked to *them* about boys or showed off whatever boy I was talking to. It never made sense to me because who the hell wants to talk to their aunt or grandma about how thirsty they are for some guy at school? That's the shit you talk to your friends about. My aunt doesn't even question it, she acts like she "knows" I'm a lesbian and even though I don't care and it's not an insult in the slightest, the way she says it is offensive and gross. To me, the biggest turn on in people is when they don't care about gender stereotypes. I feel you my man. I have had people think I am gay when I was younger. I love ballet, musicals, cats, figure skating, gymnastics, and Elton John. But I am 100% straight. I do not think that liking these things makes you gay but trust me I understand where you come from. Most people who (in my experience) who give you stick about being gay are gay themselves. But I still plan on watching figure skating at the next Olympics.

This is how I’ve felt a large portion of my life. I’m a girl, but my favourite colour was always red, I liked playing cars with my brother, I liked playing video games, whenever we played “house” I always insisted on not being the sister, but rather the cat or dog (I’m not a furry lmao, not that it would matter if I was) I still liked things that were considered “girl things” too, like dolls, and I’ve always have long, thick hair that I liked to let my mum (who is a hairdresser) style, I even did beauty pageants for short time (I didn’t do glitz pageants like on TLC, and I was never forced to do anything lmao) but people couldn’t see past the part of me that liked less “girly” stuff. People thought I was weird and didn’t want to be my friend, I was bullied for it, and I was made to feel like I wasn’t valid. Literally as soon as people learned the word I was called gay. I was confused at what it meant at first, but as soon as I found out (and found out it’s negative connotations) I was upset. I knew I was straight, that I liked boys, I’ve had crushes multiple boys in my life, but these people constantly calling me names, calling me gay, it made me confused, and it upset me. It literally *gave* me an anxiety problem because I’d drive myself to the point where I felt sick worrying about what people thought of me, the way I looked to them, and eventually other things too.
It wasn’t until 2018 when I started to feel a lot better about all of it. I met my best friend, Jason. We were science partners and we quickly became close friends. As I got to know him more and more, and spent more time around him, I realised: he was a lot like me. He didn’t fit the typical gender stereotypes. He was a guy, and he liked some “typical boy” things like video games and stuff, but he also had some qualities that are considered “typical girl” things, he used to do dance, he was very soft spoken and sympathetic, and he cared a lot about the way he looked (like his hair and his clothes). I noticed people treated him like they did me, they constantly called him/asked is he was gay, even though he (and he told me on multiple occasions) was in fact straight. When I met him I realised that he didn’t let it get to him, he didn’t even care that they thought that about him, and that helped me to be more comfortable in my own skin. I realised that my interests and hobbies do not at all define my gender or my sexuality. And when I found your channel you reinforced that realisation.
